It's not quite a 5 but I'm giving them one based on the area.... This restaurant falls into the fast casual category which works for me! My food was flavorful, the prices fair, close/free parking, clean inside and they have a cute interior! To break it down--food wise I ordered their Vietnamese Summer Rolls (nice size) and the dipping sauce was good albeit peanut sauce heavy, (fine with). Their bun #10 was good and a nice amount of pork too. Minor negatives--limited menu (probably works for the area tho) and they charge extra if you use your credit card, I'm not a fan of that practice! I understand the reasoning but I still don't love it. There is one small sign at the register stating that, and from where I was standing I didn't see it! After I brought that to her attention she refunded the difference which was nice! I would go back and try their pho the next time. read more

Was excited to find Vietnamese restaurant so close to our hotel. The food was excellent, just on the pricey and smaller side. Service was quick and restaurant was clean - would recommend if you're craving Vietnamese food. read more

Up here for work. I'm Viet so it's only right I try this place. It's literally just alright, if you are used to Viet cuisine. Summer rolls: $6. NO PORK. Just shrimp, lettuce, & noodles. No thanks. I literally just ended up ripping out the halfed shrimp & ate it. The peanut sauce is good tho Bun bowl: $18 with meat, $16 without. No bean sprouts, very little cucumber. Meat was alright. Eggrolls were crispy, but the flavor of filling inside was a little bland for me. Had to get an extra fish sauce for it to be enough. Btw... the pho dac biet is $25!!!!!!!! JEZIS ???? 3% charge on card transactions... as if you're not already over-priced. If ur visiting from down state & used to traditional viet food from que Huong, little Saigon, pho crab restaurant...you'll be bummed. I get that it's TC & rare viet population.... But for the prices to the lack of full ingredients & flavors is a no for me. Very decent. I can hold my craving to go back home & eat in Warren. Simple clean setting. The food was great! I had the pork bun bowl which was yummy and filling. The sauce that you pour in the bowl moistened the noodles and gave it a wonderful taste. The people who work there are nice and helpful too. I saw they did a lot of take out orders. read more

Excellent Vietnamese food! Ok, our perspective might have been skewed after eating the disappointing Good Bowl the night before. It is solid Vietnamese food. TC has a very limited menu - 1 page with 16 items plus a few beverages. The prices are affordable, the portions are generous and the food is tasty. We ordered to go: #4 pho dac biet = house combination pho $19 # 8 pho cho tre em = kid pho beef noodle soup $10 #10 bun heo nuong & cha gio = grilled pork meat with eggroll vermicelli bowl $16 #11 goi cuon = Vietnamese summer rolls (2) with shrimp $6 #15 tom nuong = grilled shrimp rice $16 boba milk tea The rare steak was rare, the brisket was ok, the summer rolls and the grilled pork were good. The broth for the 2 pho soups was delicious and were packaged separately as they should be. We had a proper size helping of pho rice noodles, vermicelli and rice. Craving Pho? Vermicelli bowl? Thai tea? Boba milk tea! This is the place to satisfy it all! Great service, very clean all in a cool industrial chic setting. Simple menu, which we loved, offering the basics. But so we'll prepared, we gushed as we each tasted first our beverages and then again when we got our food. Fresh, beautiful and perfectly prepared. It was all so delicious. Our only issue is that they are located across town! Really, really good. There is another restaurant in town that offers Pho, and while theirs was amazing once upon a time, it hasn't made us happy in a while. So this is our new go to for Vietnamese!!! read more

My review is based entirely on Chicken Pho to go. In fairness I haven't tried anything else on the menu but since their name is T.C. Pho it should be their signature dish. I love Pho and have enjoyed it in multiple states and countries. Their Pho is a pretty fair representation. They provide a good variety of chicken, Thai basil, onions, noodles, jalapeños, etc.. My complaint is that they short you on the broth! They consistently only provide about 20 ounces in a quart container. I always need to order a small additional container of broth to get to the usual quart that every other Pho restaurant I've gone to provides. I understand and emphasize with the challenges and costs involved in operating a specialty restaurant anywhere, let alone northern Michigan. So I will accept that they probably have a valid reason. Difficult to understand that having to inventory and provide a separate different sized plastic container and another plastic bag, is cost effective for them. As I mentioned, I've been ordering Pho to go for over 20 years and always received a quart of the broth, so this is far from the norm. just hope that they realize that it can be off putting. True Pho lovers will be less bothered by charging a profitable price even if slightly higher than by inconveniencing them into needing a second container to get to the norm. read more

I wanted to love this. I was so excited there was finally a Vietnamese place in TC, and right next to my favorite nail place to boot.) I eat Vietnamese at least once a week normally and miss it when I am here in TC This food though, it was bad. And they messed up a really simple order three times (1 summer roll, 1 shrimp with vermicelli, 1 pork with vermicelli.). The wrapper on the summer roll was thick and super chewy which was sort of gross. The shrimp and pork were edible but had no flavors I associate with Vietnamese food. I got a boba milk tea and threw it out. The boba was disgusting. It was tough and dry. Again, boba tea is part of my regular diet, I would have said it is something that is good even when it is bad, but not here, here it is just bad. read more

I only tried the egg roll vermicelli bowl and an iced Thai tea. I was very pleased with both and I appreciate them having all the condiments and utensils on the table for easy access. Yummy flavor on the pho and dumplings! My drink was also good, but they put the wrong topping in. I also had an issue with the service handing us the wrong order and not taking it back, but we eventually figured it out when the other server came. A little confusing of it is a place to order at the counter or if they come to you. Overall, would return for the food, but just be ready to have a bit of patience! Also if you don't like spice, be wary of the jalapeños in the bánh mì. read more

The pho was acceptable, but the broth was a tad on the plain side and lukewarm. The grilled shrimp rice was good. The Vietnamese summer rolls and crispy fried egg rolls and sauces were decent. Perhaps it's passable for the northern lower peninsula, but lacking in comparison to the Madison Heights area. The service was exceptional. For a better than good bowl of Pho, dare I say Great Bowl of Pho this is the place to go. The broth is supremely nuanced with flavors and the add ins of fresh basil, bean sprouts and lime make it just perfect. Vegetable Pho and one of the meat topped rice bowls make a fantastic lunch to share with a friend. I personally love the Thai tea, which I thought would be like Chai tea but is different and tastier. Service is quick and prices very reasonable for the amount and quality of food. I could go on, but I think you see why I gave them 5 stars. read more

I love Vietnamese food (from Albany, NY), and my taste buds are very happy with this local place on the east side of Traverse City, MI, just past Munson Community Health Center on Munson Avenue. The grilled sliced pork with rice and extra sauce was delicious--delicate flavors, enough for two for dinner (at $20)! I cooked up some broccoli for a nice veg. I LOVE the food and service at this restaurant! Favorite dish is the filet mignon pho, hands down. It's so satisfying. I prefer to eat it in-house but I grabbed a few orders for take-out and my family at the dish for THREE separate meals. So much bang for your buck. So healthy and satisfying.
