Same exact review I left on the site (SureCritic) that they spam you to leave a review after service. Strangely, my review doesn't appear there, so here you go........ So many little blunders. They didn't bother to reset the maintenance due light. You can't miss it in my vehicle it's constantly flashing away. Asked that the air pressure not be adjusted in my tires for the rotation, all 4 were. Mileage when service performed, was off by almost 10 THOUSAND miles. Steering wheel was filthy when done, and the final kicker was charging an unannounced credit card fee. This lack of detail is not something I can abide....do not recommend read more

My 78 year old mother brought her car in for an oil leak. They had the car for over a month, off and on. They kept finding new things wrong with the car and of course adding on more charges. She had another standing appointment for something else to be fixed and they called her the day before to let her know that they had a "bigger" job coming in and would need to delay her appointment. She took the car somewhere else and turns out she still had an oil leak that she originally went to them for. Ultimately, the car was junked. AFTER OVER $4000. I feel they took advantage of her and would never recommend this place. read more

I will NEVER go back here after being a regular customer for the last few years. I have been a loyal customer of this place since I moved into the area. I have always dealt with Kiana, and I never had an issue until today. I was greeted by her father, and he has some nerve talking to a regular customer the way he did. I had an top tier oil change scheduled, which has always included a tire rotation. I asked him to please check my brakes, and he wanted to charge me for checking the brakes because "we have to take the tires off the car." Talk about trying to get over on someone when rotating tires is part of the service. When I asked to talk to Kiana, he informed me that he was her father and he owned the place. I'm still his boss, and I fired him. After using this place for years, and sending friends and family there, I will NEVER go back. Who talks to a customer like that, and tries to nickle and dime a regular? They just lost, not one, but several customers. My self, and my family will never go back. That attitude is unacceptable. I never dealt with this man before, and he is so nasty that he just lost several regular customers. read more

This is a great gas and repair shop. I went there for an oil change and to check all liquids. They were so friendly and I was out in minutes. It will be my permanent place for repairs and had. The value as great and I didn't have to break the bank lol read more

I was in need of a flatbed to tow my car 130 miles through my AAA membership. The first company they put me in touch with was a complete failure. They did not call back for hours then wanted to begin the trip after 2 PM thus would have arrived well after my car dealer closed-had no plans or answers. I refused to do that. The next day I was put in touch with TC & Sons Auto Repair and Towing who were a top notch, efficient, polite and knowledgable source from the first phone call. Ed came exactly when they said plus called me 5 minutes out. He had it secured on the bed in 15 minutes and arrived on a timely basis at the dealership. If you want the most dependable, qualified, polite and trustworthy tow truck service, you should engage them for your task. read more

My husband's SUV died last week and we had no idea where to have it repaired. We asked a friend and were told to go here. This wasn't an easy fix, the computer was involved, along with some other things. (Sorry, not car savy). Anyway, repair was done correctly, and the price was extremely fair and the staff courtious. I live in Whiting, New Jersey and needed help when my battery died before work on Monday. My neighbor who has been using TC & Sons for years called the manager, Dustin. He drove to my house and jump started my car so I could get to his place for him to put in a new battery. This all happened before noon the same day and I so appreciate how fast, kind and caring Dustin treated me. The price was fair and the service was above and beyond great. I would recommend this auto repair shop to anyone, you will be so satisfied. In our world today it is so rare that you come across a business that makes you feel as if they really care. I will be bringing my car here for any future issues knowing that I will not only get the best price but great service. My first experience with tc and sons. We are new to the area and my radiator burst on my jeep. Of coarse it was the afternoon before 4th of july. These guys are amazing, not only did they come and pick up my vehicle but also repaired it on 4th of july. Everyone I spoke to was great. I highly recommend this business. This is a first rate place. Terrific front desk and mechanics. Honest advice, price , and service. I was in NJ from VA to help my mother in Whiting with doctor appts. Blew a left front lower ball joint on GSP going 65+ MPH at about 10:30 pm that also took out my tire, what a rush. Do not recommend it to anyone. Do not try this at home. With a tow that night and a new ball joint next morning I was rolling again. Quote from one in the mechanics "I bet she pulled to the right". Great auto shop, have had a lot of work done on my 97 Lesabre and they have always given a great price for repair and best of all they warranty for two years. Have been doing business with these people for a while and mentioned that I might want to sell my vehicle. Had someone who was interested and took the vehicle to check out the rear sway bars pending sale Left the truck there and the oil was drained (they were told NOT to change the oil) and not replaced. Drove home and parked for 1-1/2 days, then out to have dinner and motor starting knocking. Checked oil and it was bone dry...barely a drop. Consequently, the motor is now blown (threw a rod) and no one will buy this damaged vehicle. They offered to "fix" it, or "take it off" our hands. This is an outrage and there's no way to "prove" that they drained the oil, except now I have a vehicle that was worth $3000 that's now not even worth $1000 with a blown motor. read more

Please, please, beware. I have waited over 6 months to write this review, and this is based solely because my wife worked for the shop that I did not write this sooner. While my wife was working there, I brought my car in for an oil change, simple enough. In a pinch, when I brought my car somewhere else to get the next oil change, because I was traveling and needed it immediately, I was told that whomever did the last oil change siliconed the oil plug in on the previous change which could have been disastrous to my oil pan and would have wound up costing me a bundle more. When my wife told her boss this, he simply blew it off as if it was a mechanic that he fired who had done this poor work. Passing the buck, that is what this owner is good at. To say the least, I could have saved more money on actually getting my work done at this shop, but I knew that it would have cost me a lot more in the long run with examples such as my car. Unfortunately, I was informed that this was a common thing happening at the shop, cars being returned for things that were done wrong. PLEASE, if you have elderly parents or friends that live in the Whiting area, steer them away from this shop. Tom is a predator that preys off the immediate needs of the elderly. There is an STS under a mile away from this shop, and for me to support a big corporation is very VERY rare. I do not want to see any more of the nice people in these neighborhoods taken advantage of. read more

Went for the oil change special with tire rotation today made an apt for 4:30 got there 4:25 and my car was on the rack within 5 min. Friendly and informative staff and mechanics; my technician informed me of a valve cover gasket leak I knew I had that was worse than I thought. The mechanic actually went out of his way to spray down and clean the parts that had been covered in oil and showed me a cv boot had also ripped. They did a mechanical inspection of my car and changed my oil and rotated my tires in no time while I enjoyed a few laughs with the mechanics while they serviced my car. For what I went there for today, I was more than pleased with the results of my visit. If asked, I would definitely recommend t.c to a friend or anyone needing service on their car.
