I moved here from the US and my husband and I went to the store to get Fido plans since we were told they were the cheapest. I brought my expensive iPhone and my husband had a phone and they gave us two phone numbers but assigned the wrong phone to the wrong phone number. We were told they had to do this and it wouldn't be a problem since after saying my phone would be fine they said it actually wouldn't and I needed to buy a new phone with a contract. Fast forward a few months when my husband needs a new phone... they changed my phone's plan and not his and gave him unlimited everything and suddenly I had minutes and overages and they said they can't swap them despite it being their mistake in the beginning. The staff move around so Kevin was no longer at this store and working at the Broadway one. The guy at this store said he couldn't do anything, told me not even to come back, and to deal with Kevin. Kevin supposedly was calling me but I got no calls or voicemail. I got in touch with Kevin at the other store and he keeps saying he can't do anything but got his manager to approve a credit for the extra amount each month to up my plan to unlimited minutes and for the $76 in overages. I call Fido and they have no idea any of this is going on, but even they said I should go to the store first when the problem happened with my husband changing my plan. But after all these problems at the store, I reached out to someone again that was like "I can change your plan no problem" for the same amount. But they couldn't cover the overages. So I decided to take the credit and wait to change my plan. Kevin has changed my plan again, I have no record to see anything. He reduced my data to 3 gigs. I can't see anything. No contracts sent to me, no proof I have any credit, at this point it is a constant whirlwind as I don't have time to deal with all this with a toddler. So in short, don't go to these stores. Call Fido and have them mail you a phone. All these stores are doing is selling phones and they don't care about you, will be rude, won't be there the next day if you do get a nice person, and Fido doesn't seem to know anything about what is happening. They told me you can order phones online so if you have time don't go into these stores. I'm still insecure about handing over my last phone and not trusting them to wipe it out. I have spent a fortune at these stores now all for terrible contracts I have no idea about since I don't even have a copy of the recent changes and it's a full time job trying to manage how screwed I am getting.

We bought our office phone system from them a long time ago. We contacted them again, as we were…read moremoving and needed the system set up at our new location. The person who answererd the phone was very helpful and pleasant. He looked up our account (from about 10 years ago) and immediately knew what system and phones we had. He then recommended a new system, but didn't try to sell us new phones, as the features on them hadn't changed much (they just look better). He also helped us in figuring out how much of the wiring our electrician was going to do, and how much the Canwest tech should expect to do. They are a Panasonic business phones systems dealer, and the new system is awesome! It even sends the voice mail messages to my email (as an attached .wav file) so I don't have to dial in, and I can have all my tasks end up in one location!! The technichian was efficient and friendly, as well. He set up the lines in the correct locations, and named all the extensions as in the diagram they had asked us for earlier. The original guy came the next day for voice mail setup and training. It was easy to understand.

I spoke with 3 different representatives at TAC today, trying to resolve an issue to do with a…read morephone that had been incorrectly priced on the website due to a Telus glitch (as confirmed by another dealership). So it wasn't actually TAC's fault, but the sales manager there said he would try calling Telus himself to see what they could do, and when Telus refused to budge on the price (stating their fine print protects them), he came up with a creative solution within an hour (he had asked to call me back) that worked out very well for me. The other dealership I contacted first did not help me at all, though their sales people were congenial as well. Although this sales manager was the third person I spoke to at TAC, at no point did I feel I was being given the runaround. Instead, each salesperson genuinely wanted to be sure they had crossed all their t's and dotted all their i's before saying they couldn't help me, even though they didn't think anything could be done initially. I appreciate their honesty and commitment to their customers, and ultimately the solution they provided me with - I highly recommend that people deal with them if they are a Telus client.
