My salesman, Mike Patch, was knowledgeable, helpful and very professional without being pushy. From our first conversation I knew I could trust Mike and that proved to be true throughout the transaction! My experience has been horrendous. Purchased a used 2021 Nissan Rogue, put down $6k. Drove off the lot and within a week my alternator was out. They ate that bill, then I had a coolant leak same day of its return to me that wasn't there before the alternator was serviced. Coolant leak was "repaired", then transmission went out. Service report stated the trans-axel assembly, transmission and rotors were replaced, as upon inspection there was metal shavings in them and was deteriorated. Now, on a new transmission, alternator and supposedly fixed coolant leak.....my transmission is out again. This vehicle has stranded me multiple times and if this transmission issue results in another replacement, this will make it TWO transmissions in this car in less than a year. Each time my vehicle has had to go in, it takes a long time to get in, just as long to fix it, and upon return there's always more issues. I am frustrated. It's disgusting to me that this business claims to rigorously inspect all vehicles before they are listed. That is so obviously false it is laughable. I've purchased cars from private owners and dealers alike and never once had this many issues. There is no excuse for the negligence shown in this case. The costs to fix have been covered by warranty, but those costs are more than the car is even worth. More than I put down on it. I have kids and need a safe vehicle. I know my way around a vehicle. I check my fluids. I maintain my vehicle. They sold me a lemon. I've been in and out of their service department, sent many an angry email, and I am once again without a vehicle for an unknown amount of time. This is exhausting emotionally, and financially. It costs me ~$60 a day to get to and from work now. Taylors wants $50/day for a rental. After seeing so many people, including FAMILY MEMBERS of mine have nothing but wonderful experiences, it's disappointing at the least to be experiencing this disregard for safety, blatant falsification of a bogus "inspection" prior to being put on the lot, and unwillingness to fix a problem that stems from their staff and failures. Getting into contact with anyone higher than Josh at service seems impossible. Bad business practice doesn't cover it when these issues are preventable with proper inspection, proper mechanical services, honesty and integrity. I spoke to service dept. and was given as estimate of $415. They diagnosed the issue as spark plugs, and requested approval for ALL FOUR to be replaced. They did not state what made them come to that conclusion. This appears to be a transmission issue that is seems they are misdiagnosing. They claimed they pressure tested for a coolant leak and did not find one. When I asked why my coolant is disappearing, I was told "well, coolant is half water". I asked if I should have had to refill it twice in two weeks, he said no but there wasn't a leak. Doubtful. I was told my heat is blowing hot. It's been out for weeks, and does not work. It blows cold air on all levels, all temps. This is not due to low coolant, as I carefully watch my engine temperature and coolant levels due to the obvious leak they failed to diagnose. I'm furious, frustrated, exhausted with this business. I don't appreciate shady mechanics when I grew up watching classics be rebuilt and performing maintenance on vehicles my whole life. Audicty is high, service is lacking, integrity doesn't exist. I can't find strong enough words to describe the inconvenience, disrespect and dishonesty. read more

I was scheduled for a 10:30 oil change, I decided to wait while in service. at around noon I was told my car was ready would wash and bring back. There was another lady waiting for her car and the service person said her car was ready he would wash and get her. They came and got her. They went out to an hour lunch and left me waiting. after 1/2 hour I went to service desk and service manager walked away. He did not even listen to problem. I called from the waiting room until someone answered, They went looking for my car. I felt very disrespected no one really cared that it took almost 3 hours for an oil change. I did not even get an apology. My service tech came back from lunch as I was paying and asked why are you still here? I will not go again. They do not care about their customer's. read more

Been looking at a truck several days there and due to recent rain there is now a leak in roof apparent by the water damage on ceiling material. Taylor's AM would not budge on pricing nor make any effort to repair/replace the damage. HIGHLY disappointed in their performance. Bought a vehicle from Taylors Auto Max, and have had it less than six months, have put less than 9000 miles on it, and now I need $6000 worth of repairs to my transmission. Brought this to their attention, and they refuse to help at all and were completely dismissive of my concerns. Will not ever buy a vehicle from this lemon car dealership again. I will make it my responsibility to share my experience with customers that come into the local bank that I work at so they do not have to go through anything like this. read more

We bought an F150 from this dealership in mid 2022. Everything was fine until about January 2023, we started having small problems. We remembered we payed for the 3rd party warranty and took the truck into Taylor's shop to figure out and fix a flashing check engine light. To make a long story short, a lot of expensive repairs were made, each time coming back to us and the light coming on again before we could even get it home. We continued to take it back. This happened about 6 times. In one of the times, Taylor's actually towed the truck to the ford dealership because they couldn't figure out the issue. When I went to ford to see what they thought, they informed me that Taylor's had put something back wrong and they would not fix it honoring my warranty since it was their fault. Taylor's towed it back and ended up fixing that situation, under the warranty that wouldn't be honored at ford. (Warranty fraud?) But we still continued to have the light. Taylor's ended up telling us that we needed a new motor. This left us with no vehicle (they do not do courtesy vehicles) so we ended up buying a Kia optima from them, still trusting them and thinking this was just bad luck and that they were doing their best. In this time, the truck gets the new motor and is still showing a check engine light. We bring it back and they tell us now that the catalytic converter on the driver side needs to be replaced. This was not covered by warranty and we paid the 1,000$ to fix it. While it is being worked on this time, the car we bought and had for less than 2 months shows a flashing check engine light. We take it there and they tell us it is not safe to drive and that it has to go to a Kia dealership due to a possible warranty with Kia. The closest Kia was 3 hours away and when we explained our frustration with what had been happening, they told us they could pay to have it hauled there but if that wasn't the problem, the cost and getting it back was on us. We were 2 weeks from our military move at this time, so we decided to just tow it to where we were going to take care of it from there. In the meantime, we are left with no vehicle at all. When they finished the truck, the light still came on for about the 12th time. They told us it must be the other catalytic converter. At this point we are in a time crunch and need this truck ready for a 22 hour trip. We decided that was enough and took it to another shop for a second opinion, who said that we just needed to put premium gas in it and that the motor was probably not broken in. Still being nervous, I took it to another shop who actually looked over every single detail and did a lot of test driving. They replaced a bad coil, and also said the motor was not yet broken in. They also checked the passenger side catalytic converter and said it was completely clear and had no problems. The truck made the trip just fine. Moral of the story, we were without a vehicle for 7 months through all of this, probably replacing things that didn't need it, and trying to take advantage of both us and our warranty company. They did not care at all about the bad situation we were put in with these horrible vehicles we were sold by them, and basically told us too bad. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM OR LET THEM DO WORK TO YOUR VEHICLE. read more

have my pickup serviced there, took over 2 hours to change oil and rotate tires. later on i check tire pressure it reads at 95 psi, clearly it says max "80 psi" i put the max psi at 80 in a few days before. oil seemed to be good even tho there was oily finger prints on my hood and dash. but when i was checking the oil I noticed my master cylinder cap was missing with quite a bit of brake fluid missing. could have caused some sort of crash, leading to a lawsuit, luckily i caught it just in time before someone got hurt. i am very disappointed in the their work and the hassle i had to deal with read more

Very unprofessional dealership. I was in the process of selling a car to them and had already agreed on an amount, for which was initialed by both parties. After doing my part with the bank to payoff what the remaining balance would be, they went back on their word and told me they no longer wanted to give me the money. The figured since I had already paid the bank that I would be desperate to take whatever they would give me but I refused. Then the financial manager decided to ignore my phone calls for over a week, knowing I wanted to talk about the situation. I would not recommend that anyone do business with them, unless you enjoy being disrespected and taken advantage of. read more

Less than impressed, I have lost one hubcap in my lifetime. Until my purchase of a used car this month. Within four hundred miles of highway driving, the cheap plastic hubcaps came off the wheels. One by one they popped off and shattered into pieces. Thanks for the added expense. Just left there, show them my car had no hubcaps, Their solution was I could buy new hubcaps at their cost. Textbook definition of a shady used car dealership. We sat for over 3 hours waiting on a trade value for our car. We decided not to buy the car and left. They then decide to run our credit just for the fun of it. When we confront them about the running of our credit they then say we had come to a deal. ABSOLUTELY NOT! We left why would we leave if we had a deal. Overpriced Canadian vehicles that will break down in a months time from there less than par service department. Sales managers that can never give a direct awsner and always beat around the Bush. If you want a new car lithia is right across the street and have much better customer service. I took my car in to have an oil change and tires rotated and they gave me back with a bunch of information and I understood that and I'm grateful for the service that they provided. Everybody there is really nice and fun to talk to you in the environment is really pleasant. But the thing about that's horrible is after the service you get which is a car washing. All they do is take it through the car wash and that's pretty much it. No wiping down and clean the interior.And they don't even vacuum. That's the part that I find to be some horrible service right there. read more

If I could give no stars, I would. Textbook definition of a used car dealership. My dad and husband went to look for a pickup, found a couple they liked and while there found a set of keys laying on the hood of one of the trucks, on a Sunday. They got the keys and went and found a number to let them know they had the keys and wanted to know where to put them so they'd be safe. The next day, my dad called to talk about buying one of the pickups they'd found and were told that they wouldn't be negotiating. My dad said he'd take them off the list of places to buy then and the guy told him "that's fine with me" when my dad brought up that we were the ones that found the keys, the guys said it wasn't a big deal and the conversation ended. Taylor's Auto Max doesn't care about doing business or about customer service, just being shady and making a $ no matter the cost. read more

The salesman I talked on the phone with told me not to do the paperwork with the salesman that showed the truck, but to call him back and do it with him. He said it was too late to make a deposit and he would do it first thing in the morning. I was told it would not be sold out from under me. He called me when he got in in the morning and said it was already sold. Absolutely pathetic business practice. Followed their instruction and they screwed me over. I had an issue with the transmission on my VW cabrio. I took it in, the transmission was fixed, great, glorious, wonderful. I go home. Within two hours my car is going crazy. My dome light doesn't work, my hazards keep coming on for no reason, and my dashboard is telling me my trunk is open. No. No it's not. It's closed and locked. Also, my locks are being weird, and when I bring the car back to get looked at, my horn starts honking all by itself. Phantom honks. Awesome. So, I say 'Look, I'm sure it was just some small mistake. I totally get that, I'm not mad, but I need a car that works and doesn't freak out at me while I'm driving. Please fix whatever got nicked, or knocked loose, or whatever.' Yeah... So then they basically hold my car hostage for FOUR WEEKS and then charge me $600, parts and labor, for fixing things that were definitely working before they touched it. Oh, and the excuse? "This part wasn't working? See? It's all burnt out?" Sure. Absolutely. Except that the part they ordered and spent way too long installing definitely doesn't work. My doors don't lock like they're supposed to now. Because who needs locks, right? This location might be a nice place to buy a car, I don't know, but don't ever bring your car here to get fixed. God only knows what they'll do to it, and then they'll violate your wallet and place all the blame on you. read more

Not happy. Make sure you go over your vehicle with a fine tooth comb and check everything. Especially if you are buying used. At 1st I was extremely Happy. I know my credit wasn't great and Dave Stinar helped me out. (I will say he did seem to be genuine in trying to help) So I eneed up with a newer car. 2013 Ford Fusion to be exact. Purchased in Jan 2018. It was a rough winter. So I didn't need to use my wipers at all. So 2 months later I did need them on a longer drive to Havre. It was sleeting. Put on my wipers and the left side blade kept popping off, then they would just stop. So unsafe and hazardous. I had to pull over each time. (More dangerous because there was no room to pull over due to snow and traffic) I got ahold of Dave and he said bring it in. You haven't had it very long. So I took it in to the service department. Awhile later I was informed that both wiper motors were bad. Really? On a 2013? Hmmmmmmm. Then I was dealt the bad news. Because it had been 2 months (safety issue or not) that they wouldn't cover it. But wod be willing to give me 10% discount. The motors through Taylors were $200 each not including labor. Wow! That's all they are going to do? It's not lime I turned the wipers on and ran them day and night to burn them out... So I said I couldn't pay that right now. The service department offered to change the passenger side blade ($20) When it was done she said they didn't feel that id really come back so no discount would be applied that day and they were going to have to charge me for looking at the car. $80 later I left. No proof they changed the blade. And the "new one" didn't look new and still pops off. At 1st when I purchased the car I would have said "go to Taylors and ask for Dave Stinar." Now..... "Beware!, do your research and check everything. Look like a jerk if you have to and run everything that moves or is useable. Heater, air, radio, cruise, WIPERS, seats, check for engine noise, navigation, wimdows (switches on all the doors) I'm having issues with those now too. EVERYTHING! You'd think that theyd realize in customer service repeat business is a must and word of mouth... I will never go back and I absolutely don't recommend buying a vehicle from Taylors. read more

In my latest car purchase with this dealership, I did not feel respected or appreciated. The salesperson, did everything from giving me an outdated car fax report, to telling me that something had been corrected on the car when it had not, to trying to slip by with out offering the advertised sales incentive to us (this was only offered after we showed him the advertisement). My family has purchased multiple vehicles over the years from Taylor's Auto Max and we have always had nice experiences with them. However, my husband and I recently purchased a used suv from them and have been less than thrilled. The suv died within a week of having it. The battery was not good anymore and needed to be replaced. We were also hearing a loud almost buzzing noise, come to find out the pulleys needed to be replaced as well and the differential fluids needed to be filled. I am not a car dealer expert, but I would expect things like the battery and fluids to maybe be checked out before a vehicle is sold? Not only did the vehicle have these problems, but there is a loud jolting noise that happens occasionally. I was told by Taylors that the noise is the air bag compressor? This noise is loud and physically shakes the car when I am reversing or coming to a stop (sometimes). When we took the suv to Taylors they wanted us to pay for everything. After talking, they decided to pay for a new battery and that was it. Taylors does not care if you are a loyal customer, they simply just want your money and to get you out of there. I will not be returning to Taylors, I have told other people not to go there, and I will continue my business at Bleskins or Bennett motors. read more
