We had a condo brunout. This company cut corners Less baseboard heater less outlets to small of water heater stolen items. We have had to replace things as they fell off the wall. We had a abode put in which was not connected to the hot water. Try that on your ass. A bill for storage n dry cleaning our clothes smelled like smoke. All were trashed Very poor customer service. They sent me many bills. I call every other month they stated that the insurance covers the bill. Just got another bill that states I owe them! I fell they owe me 3yrs 6 months of hassle. TAYLORED RESTORATION IS A COMPANY I TRUST 100%. I have been a landlord since 1975 in Alaska. I hired Trent's father (TAYLOR Restoration) 35 years ago, at my duplex to restore upstairs bathroom after a leak, I haven't had any problems since... Just recently, I had a problem with the downstairs bathroom. I hired Taylor Restoration again. They checked my crawl space, lifted old vinyl in the bathroom and laundry area, replaced flooring, removed and returned washer/dryer to original location. I was out of town; they were in touch with me and my renter so professionally and efficiently. All went smoothly without any headaches for me. I WILL NEVER FORGET THIS, AS LONG AS I LIVE. The work was well done, however the shady business practices are what takes them down to a mere one star. Through insurance, we chose Taylored due to it being one of a few contractors we recognized the name of. They did great in calling and being at the home within a few hours, tearing up floors and getting the dryers going, all on a Friday afternoon. Monday I received a call from the project manager and she let me know that if the lower floor tested positive for asbestos, they would quote the abatement and need to get approval from insurance due to the high costs. The next day we receive a call that is was asbestos, followed by a call the filling day that they would start abatement later that day. We got the call that it was done by Friday afternoon. So far, we are happy... insurance rocks the process, pays the bill for water removal and abatement and gets the flooring company squared away for installation. We're all squared away in a few weeks. But wait, there's more... TR calls us to sign the check from Insurance to pay for the bills they were sent and the gal was kind enough to meet us at our work to take care of this. We asked that a statement be sent to us that the account is paid in full and we're all done... she assures is we will get that!! A month later, we receive an envelope in the mail, I'm expecting it to be the closed out statement but no, it's a bill for more than $1000 additional. I call, they claim that it's over and beyond monies to to having to babysit their team. Lack of training for their team and subcontractors is not my problem, but yet suddenly they want to strong arm and charge MORE money after they've already been paid AND the job is complete! Insurance calls and calls, they won't return calls and finally our insurance takes care of us and the bill. We definitely won't use them again, emergency or not. Along with that, our insurance company requested input on the services from TR and asked if we would recommend them or use them again... our response was a strong "NO!" to both questions. read more

After poor workmanship by Paul Davis Restorations that caused flooding of my condo and the one above it, we chose Taylored to repair the damage. I was happy with their workmanship. It was pretty messy at first with all the water, but their workmen did their best to minimize the inconvenience. I was pleased with the attention to detail they took to respect my belongings. I called to make an appointment the day after my Groupon expired. Usually, if you have an expired Groupon, you can use it for the value of what you paid for it, but they said they were giving people extensions and would honor the full value of the Groupon, as if it wasn't expired. I thought that was really nice, and definitely a courtesy they didn't have to extend according to the terms of the Groupon. I believe I was also able to get an appointment for the following week, and would have been able to get an appointment for earlier, if my schedule was more flexible, which is nice and quick, I think. I think they did a pretty good job, and got out two stains that had been in my carpet for months. I asked them to do my stairs, and they said their policy was that they could throw stair cleaning in if the floor area being cleaned was less than 300 square feet. Although the Groupon was for 500 square feet, I was having them clean about 400 square feet of floor, so I had to pay $3 per stair. The only thing is that, for some reason, when they cleaned the stairs, it pulled up a lot of random carpet loops. I don't know if this is common or if my carpet is just cheap, but I do know it was new when we moved in two years ago. If I wasn't going to replace the carpet with laminate or something else pretty soon, I'd be upset about that. The other thing, the people who cleaned my carpet were two young guys, one probably in his 20s and one that looked like a teenager. The teenager kept peeking around my house and lingered in the bedroom after they were done measuring, which made me uncomfortable. I would recommend staying at home while they work, which I guess you might want to do anyway, but both my husband and I work, so I had to leave after I let them in. read more

No estimate given. No invoice of what work was done. Did not finish job*. We called the insurance company and they sent out someone from Taylored Restoration. The person who showed up, just unfolded the trim/siding (also called a 'drip edge') and nailed it back up, leaving a vertical open tear in the material, allowing rain water to enter. No replacement of the damaged piece, no sealant, no attempt to repair the torn in half drip edge. This took but a few moments to 'repair' and we were charged $170, (not including any money they might have gotten from the insurance company). We had called them 4 times, to come out and look at their poor repair job on the roof corner. 2 times they stated no one was available and that the people in charge were not there. They also stated each time that they would call back & have a person come out and finish the job properly. They never did call back, nor did they ever send anyone out. We have been trying to get this taken care of since this May. They do still keep mailing a bill for $170, the balance of what the insurance company does not pay, due to the deductible. This is a very unprofessional company, their 'repair' is worse than if we had done it ourselves, at least we would have replaced the item and attached it properly and/or sealed up the tear in the aluminum so as to not allow water to intrude into the ceiling edge. *Update: A family member drove down to their office and spoke to a manager. They sent someone out to finish up the job. They then called & left a message at 7-23-18, apologizing with a reason/excuse for the poor behavior and then said no money was owed. Can't say we would ever use them again, or recommend them, at least they finally corrected the problem. That is a step in the right direction. Changed to 3 stars. read more

The criminal assailant, John Martin Whittaker, was shot dead in our back yard. State Farm home insurance policy that we've paid premium for nearly 50 years told us to wait and Taylored Restoration would do the work. In subzero weather temperatures, Taylored Restoration left us for a month with a boarded up unsecured house. Taylored Restoration emailed me a month later, March 11, 2015 to say they weren't going to do the work. I called and left a message for Taylored Restoration. I just wanted someone to come and give me a bid on a remodel job at my house. No one ever called me back. Not an auspicious start. They don't answer the phone at their business. I called two more times subsequently, but when I got the same off-site answering service, I didn't leave additional messages. If they can't even call me back, it doesn't bode well for the following interactions. read more

Be very careful with this business. They were not willing to fix the roof we live under when it leaked with minimal snow fall. The immediate response was to look for ways that it "wasn't our fault" and that has continued despite findings to the contrary. This will now end up involving legal processes or requiring my family to pay out of pocket. Very sad as this company was run well under the father but now has fallen into bad business practices. I would steer clear of this business. The other half of my zero lot line burned down and was a complete loss. The owner went with Taylored Restorations, this company had no concerns with inconveniencing me on the other half at all. They actually removed my satellite dish from my roof threw it away, constantly parked in my driveway blocking me from entering & leaving even after being told numerous times. They had the home framed and partially done, the furnace had been installed but they would not turn the heat up over the winter to above freezing. This caused the dividing wall between the two homes to be my exterior wall, my heating cost went through the roof, my downstairs bathroom pipes froze. When I contacted Taylored Restorations, Andrea told me her concern was the side that burnt down. When it came time to paint the exterior I asked them to quote my half, which was basically one wall on the side, and the front and back walls which was only a half a wall because I shared it with the other unit. They quoted me $3500, when I called to complain about the price and asked how much they were marking it up from the subcontractor the OWNER assured me they did not do that. I said I would paint my half myself thank you. The next spring when the painter (Sub contracted from tailored) showed up I asked him to give me a quote and he quoted me $1800. Tailored marked it up almost 100%. When these people completed (I use the term loosely) the other half, they did not clean up whatsoever, there was debris left everywhere. We tried to work with them and we're friendly with them originally offering their workers water, but the project manager, Andrea made it clear that she was only concerned with that half and could care less about any inconvenience to us, and it was apparent from all their actions that they couldn't care less. Taylored Restoration was hired by my condo assoc. after the upstairs unit left their toilet running all day and flooded four units. What a mess. The flooring in both bedrooms and the hallway had to be replaced as well as having the common wall dried. All the several employees were polite and professional. They kept me informed of their progress (as the project took awhile). They even helped pack up my belongs, move them to the garage as well as put it all back once the flooring was done. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. They are so unbelievably incompetent. I made the huge mistake of picking them to fix my house after a fire 6 years ago and I am still dealing with their crappy fails. A few examples - They left my house without a roof for months, while I had to deal with the rain and trying to keep the house covered on my own. They cut a water line and flooded my basement, then denied it had caused a problem. They don't understand log houses, so my front door won't close in the winter because they didn't know enough to include some float. They installed my bathtub faucet 2 inches out from the wall. So I have a pipe that sticks out from the wall with the faucet stuck on the end. They are the worst! They totally fucked up my roof and I was only able to nail them on it because I had kept the metal roofing. They actually argued with me until I showed them they had mis-measured it. They ordered my patio door 90 degrees wrong (who thinks a door that's 5 feet tall is real?). I could go on and on. They also fucked up my chimney which i had to have totally replaced, etc. They put me through hell. And it took them 18 months to do a job that should have taken about 6. Meanwhile I was homeless.
