We're really glad we got to connect! If you are hesitant to include a therapist in your circle of people assisting you to raise your child, take a breath and get past it. I haven't been to Raise but Jess has treated someone I love. I have encountered many therapist and…read morethere are many out there who are clinically sufficient. What Jess brings to the table is something more, which was a genuine concern for my child. On one of our conversatios she said " I went on this run and I was thinking about"... she was thinking about my kid and how to help. She made me feel like we ( we because as parents, things that affect our kids affect us) were "seen." I think more often than not people get complacent in their careers, including the medical or mental health field, which I would chalk up to human nature. However, she never made me feel like my kid was number or just another patient. She was someone going through something and Jess was going to figure it out. We had to stop seeing Jess due to some circumstances out of my control. Which only lead us to a merry go round of therapists and it wasn't until then, that I was able to fully appreciate her, not only for her emotional investment in my child but also for her instincts, which were proven to be spot on. While on that mental health merry go round, I learned that not every therapist has the capability to convey a genuine sense of commitment and concern for their client/patient , however Jess did. Taking on someone else's emotional pain, trauma, anxieties and fears has to be one of the hardest jobs I could imagine, especially when it comes to children...so I can understand having and internal shut off valve and not fault anyone needing to enact that protective mechanism. But as a parent who's child hurts....I sure as shit want someone who sees my kid, as I see them. Once again I saw Jess early in her career. Not only do I magine that she has gotten better with time but I imagine now that she has her own practice, she chooses people who values their clients as much as she does. ...I did recently refer someone here and they had positive reviews about Jess, Teena and the facility.

I am very disappointed with my experience at Lighthouse, particularly with how my concerns…read moreregarding a psychiatric medication were handled. For over two weeks, I repeatedly tried to get a clear answer about whether I could receive a short bridge prescription to get me to an upcoming appointment with a new provider. When it became clear a refill might not be possible, I specifically asked for guidance on how to safely stop the medication. That guidance was never provided. Being left without direction regarding mental health treatment is unacceptable. I chose to leave this practice because I did not feel listened to by Dr. Westbrock. Diagnoses were mentioned without explanation, alternative causes were not meaningfully explored, and my concerns were largely dismissed. When I asked about further evaluation, I was told it would require several additional appointments and approximately $800 in fees, after already paying for the visit I was attending. The process felt more focused on billing than patient care. After securing a new provider, I contacted Lighthouse weeks in advance because I knew I would run out of medication before that appointment. I made it clear that I understood if a refill was not possible and that I was simply asking for guidance. Despite multiple attempts, my requested were ignored by Dr. Westbrock. Even after being told by the medical assistants this bridge refill should have been possible. Lighthouse medical assistants have reached out and apologized on behalf of the team. They stated the issue was with Dr. Westbrock and said that if I wanted a bridge now, three weeks later, they could forward me to the director. I appreciate the medical assistants who attempted to help every time I called. However, this situation should have been escalated to leadership much earlier, and at the end of the day Dr. Westbrock is employed by this office and his actions reflect the office. Overall, this experience left me feeling dismissed and unsupported at a critical moment in my care. The only reason I chose 2 stars instead of 1 was the medical assistants consistently trying their best. It is disappointing they are not listened to by their superiors. I am sharing this so others can make an informed decision when choosing providers.

Front desk never responds to calls upon multiple attempts and messages left. Extremely frustrating.read more

Each…read moreperson's expectations and experience is their own and I would never want to discourage someone from seeking health or finding a way to work through issues. I believe Jeff is an excellent resource for helping an individual through a tough time in their life or one specific event of trauma as he does teach ways to evaluate the way the mind is focusing. In addition, he is just so dedicated and honest. I genuinely liked him as a person. That being said I would not suggest him for someone who has extreme PTSD or serious depression as he seemed to dismiss proven scientific methods of treating PTSD such as EMDR. I didn't feel he asked enough questions about my mental state or spent anytime actually getting to know me. He expected me to open up and tell where I am. For any trauma victim you say the same things over on repeat and typically are pretty distrustful. I didn't find him to be an active listener just surveyed my body language. For me I knew within 10 mins of working with he wasn't going to be able to help me. But his enthusiasm, energy, and commitment to helping me was why I stayed and participated in the session. He is true to his word if you didn't have a successful session there is no payment but I felt so guilty for his dedication that I made the decision to pay for the session. In addition, I was literally tired of him trying to help me and just gave in so we could leave.

This was the response. It very much reflects all they care about is money by stating they don't compete on price and by me asking that question somehow shows them that we are not a good fit. Sad & disappointing when you genuinely need help with something that affects mental health and if you are already skeptical on if Hypnotist try to just sell you on things, responses like this emphasize those feelings. But "it's all good". I will keep looking & have hope I will cure my anxiety (:

Dr. Fox was suggested to me by my primary care physician because he said that I might have add. I…read morehad always considered I had add but just pushed though with coffee to help me focus. But, drinking a pot of coffee is not always the answer and at the age of 39 I took the advice of my doctor of 10 years. His waiting room is small and has many magazines on the human mind. With the stack of issues there you could with enough time figure out and identify your own disorder thus bypassing the need for your co-pay. I did not have to wait long so I didn't have a chance to dive into the arena of self-diagnosis. His office staff is very polite with a good sense of humor, as it should be. They do no shake hands in this office, as one of the staff had an organ transplant, and thus wishes not to be sick. While this office rule surprised me if it was my heart I would do the same. Dr. Fox has been in practice for 20 plus years and it shows. You walk into his office and there is the common couch and chair, he sits by the window. All three times I met with him he did not use any electrical light but chose to use the natural light from outside. The setting is very relaxing and due to the location of the office and building there is very little noise from the other offices. It backs to a huge pond and is well also very relaxing to see this. He asked me why I had come to see him and answered him with truth. He asked about my early life and family and progressed to current work, life and family. Never once did he seem bored or distracted by the stream of information he was asking for. He is very soft spoken with no air of you're the patient and I'm the doctor. We are just talking and it felt like a conversation. He has a good sense of humor and smiles in agreement with answers or remarks. The next visit was a 3 1/2 hour test which will or won't be paid for by your insurance the office staff will do the checking for you. This test is taken in the waiting room and takes a long time. It's to see if you have add, hyperactivity or other disorders. My suggestion is bring a snack and a drink if you ask the staff they will give you want out of the cooler. After I was done with my test it was given to the staff and I paid my co-pay and I left. Two weeks later I received my call and they had the results. I came in reviewed the test sheet agree and they gave me a copy of the results. It was just as I had believed, I had ADD without AADHD and I was a well adjusted person. I was then asked to check to see if they spelled everything correct and the city I was born in was spelled wrong by American standards but spelled correct in Gaelic, I pointed this out and he thought it was amusing. We then discussed the test results and at the end I said, I do not believe there is a reason to see you again. For people whom need more than 3 sessions to find a solution or their issues consider this, you are paying for the attention of your doctor. You are paying for a trained audience to give you feedback for your personal issues. You get out of it what you put into it. If I should need to talk to another professional I will return to the care of Dr. Fox I felt he does have the best concerns for his patients.

He addresses any concerns and questions you have and is honest!!! Finally people can experience service with a great doctor. There are less and less everyday so it's good to know there are doctors like dr fox still out there. You can just tell right away he loves what he does and loves to help people. That's what I've noticed. Nowadays it's hard to find people you can trust and open up to. It's even better that he has a sense of humor and is super funny. All the people that see Dr fox that I've personally talked to have really opened up to him and love him too. Whats great about dr fox's is that even if you don't have insurance he sees his clients at a reasonable discounted price which is great definitely a thumbs up so you're basically getting what you paid for and 10x more. He always spends more time with you if you need it. You're never paying for the full amount without insurance. He's awesome. I refer anyone who's dealing with any anxiety, depression, PTSD or bipolar to see him. He writes incredible court evaluations dealing with custody or court issues. Glad I met a doctor who cares about you and wants to help. Great heart. Thank you Dr. Fox! I appreciate you -Love Nathalia

I can't give opinions on new providers as I did choose to move to Verity Health to continue with Kim rather than starting over with someone new. Thank you. Kim Baker is phenomenal, and I'm constantly impressed by her on multiple levels. From the pharmaceutical side, she has a truly tremendous knowledge of medications for not only psychological issues but also in general, meaning whilst she wouldn't personally advise on things like birth control, insulin or pain medication, she is able to have a really well informed discussion about those things should the patient wish to discuss them. (For example I'm a type 1 diabetic, if I feel like venting or griping about it in general, or about the insurance company trying to make me change my insulin she's an active, helpful and empathetic conversation partner able to offer more than just a caring ear, which would be enough, but personally I really value knowing she can fully understand what we're discussing even if outside of her field.) On top of that, she's just a really remarkable person. I see her for medication not for counseling, but we have wonderful discussions about all sorts, and should I find myself needing to talk about deeply emotional issues, I'd be 100% comfortable doing so with her. She's warm, genuine, relaxed and "casual", making things comfortable but still professional. At this point I genuinely consider her a good friend as much as anything else- she's that type of person. I couldn't possibly recommend her any more emphatically- there's no area she's not suitable for, and I'm confident she'd excel regardless of your individual needs.
