She made me feel like we ( we because as parents, things that affect our kids affect us) were "seen." I think more often than not people get complacent in their careers, including the medical or mental health field, which I would chalk up to human nature. However, she never made me feel like my kid was number or just another patient. She was someone going through something and Jess was going to figure it out. We had to stop seeing Jess due to some circumstances out of my control. Which only lead us to a merry go round of therapists and it wasn't until then, that I was able to fully appreciate her, not only for her emotional investment in my child but also for her instincts, which were proven to be spot on. While on that mental health merry go round, I learned that not every therapist has the capability to convey a genuine sense of commitment and concern for their client/patient , however Jess did. Taking on someone else's emotional pain, trauma, anxieties and fears has to be one of the hardest jobs I could imagine, especially when it comes to children...so I can understand having and internal shut off valve and not fault anyone needing to enact that protective mechanism. But as a parent who's child hurts....I sure as shit want someone who sees my kid, as I see them. Once again I saw Jess early in her career. Not only do I magine that she has gotten better with time but I imagine now that she has her own practice, she chooses people who values their clients as much as she does. ...I did recently refer someone here and they had positive reviews about Jess, Teena and the facility.

I was referred to dr. Glick , for which I am very greatful for. Even though dr Glick doesn't specialize in my specific condition, he has spent a tremendous amount of attention and his time to understand my symptoms, and at the same time getting to know myself. This to me is a person of true compassion for his profession and his patients. In the long term I will continue to communicate and be treated by dr Glick when necessary. The lack of communication has been frustrating. The doctor does everything by paper file, there is barely a computer in the office. We've been asking for a doctors note for months now and every time we call, we never get the note and the front desk can't tell me when we can get it. We made a follow up appt while in the office and when my husband went to the appt, was told they don't have us in the books. I distinctly remember setting it when I was there the first time. The office has a long way to go to becoming current but it's clearly not a goal of theirs.

This doctor flat out lied to my face about how I had no issues and was good to go forward with my job immediately then a week later found out that I had to do yet more evaluations the very next day. If you have to do an evaluation I would recommend picking someone else entirely and if you don't have to do any evaluation I would recommend picking someone else entirely. She runs a very unethical very shady operation. And then of course there's the cost we are talking over $3,500 for an evaluation that should have cost $1,800 Max
