My experience would be unbelievable if it didn't happen. Seven years ago we bought new kitchen cabinets from Andy Foster. After one or two years of use, we experienced some lack of quality and I began calling the cabinet maker for some advice but never received an answer to my messages. I continued to call the cabinet supplier over the next several years with no satisfaction. Foster Kitchens designed and supplied the cabinets but didn't manufacture them, but Andy agreed that the quality should have been better. Since we dealt with Andy Foster, he made the problem go away, at his expense. We had three wood craftsmen working in our kitchen these past few days, one of which was Andy Foster, correcting someone else's poor workmanship. No matter whether a company is an IBM or a locally owned business, things don't always go 100% right. How those businesses correct the problems, is what makes the difference. One of the worst experiences I've had with any vendor in my 25 years in Ithaca. Went in and spent a…read morehalf hour getting advice from Susan on choice of wall tiles for partial kitchen remodel and was advised on selecting particular tile. Susan also advised me to first wait for them to order a sample tile before I placed my order and advised me that the sample should be in in a few weeks. Two months later, when I had heard nothing back, called in. After finally getting past their terrible voicemail system that constantly told me it had not yet been set up so no messages could be left, I finally spoke with salesperson who told me Susan would get back to me in a few days. Two weeks later, still no call back, left both a voicemail message and sent email to Susan's attention. Now one month after that, still no call back, no reply to the email... nothing. What a huge waste of my time and a needless delay of two months for no reason whatsoever. Fortunately, I wrote down the tile manufacturer's name and was able to finally contact the manufacturer directly to proceed with my order.

The entire process was very easy and Cindi kept me updated constantly about the timing of the shipping and installation..they even stored it there until I was ready. I serve as one of the alumna volunteers supervising the project. Upscale did a fantastic job - from design, through demolition and to final completion of the project! The design focused on the finishes and fixtures that were within our budget, and we were promptly notified us the few times a particular item was no longer available and were provided with a good substitute. The demolition was down to the studs and the entire room was rebuilt from there. As promised, the work zone was kept clean, with trash removed nightly. The project came in on time and the finished job was perfect! I spent a great deal of my legal career as a commercial real estate lawyer and have been involved with a number of construction projects for clients, as well as my own. This was the most perfectly finished construction project I can recall. The work was done precisely (including loads of tile work). There were NO punch list items at all. I cannot recommend Upscale more enthusiastically.

Disappointed in the whole visit. Driving to nearby store and passed sign pointing to "Showroom"…read more Got out and walked around trying to find the entrance. Turns out sign was pointed in WRONG LOCATION across street and away from actual location. Not a good 1st impression. Called to find entrance and told sign must have been "turned around". No one paying attention to details? Inside woman I spoke to on phone was short, rude and didn't seem interested in setting up a "free estimate" or "free design". I was told have to take my own measurements, pick samples and give a"basic" idea of what I wanted first. After they would give me a " estimate" of probable Cost. If that was "acceptable" they'd setup up an in home estimate, design date. I got more enthusiastic service at Lowe's!
