Quality ingredients and nice location overall. This is the kind of place the area needs. However,…read morelike many places in the region, it is rough around the edges. The only two employees who appear to be on staff are two teenage girls who are friendly but lack the social understanding to be running a store by themselves. They leave the tv on a random, loud music station and did not know why they leave it ln that channel- it's just how someone did it one day and it never changes despite being an obvious improvement. I dunno know why you even need a tv here but if you have a bar and a tv it should play nothing but sports. If you want music, invest in a sound system. I don't want blaring tv speaker music while I'm trying to eat. Also, please invest in a mandolin and cutting gloves for the cooks and teach them how to properly assemble a cheesesteak. The tomatoes (which is an odd choice as a standard topping for a cheesesteak anyway) were two poorly cut wedge-slices layered on top of large, uncut pieces of lettuce. The cheese was great just needed a little more and the beef slices were impeccable - some of the best I've had in a cheesesteak. However, it takes ten seconds for a cook to shred some iceberg or romaine lettuce with a hatchet-style knife. It's much better that way. Mushrooms should be an option before either lettuce or tomatoes tho. Also, please replace that carpeting in the store - it just looks bad in a place where people eat. Solid, hard floors. This place is a giant upgrade from what used to be here just feels like it needs a little attention around small details.

There is plenty of parking near by and STB shares a lot with a few other businesses. I enjoyed walking around Kilmarnock before getting my meal. I seemed to surprise the gentleman in the truck when I got to the counter cause I spooked him a little. I bet it was really hot inside so I don't blame him for maybe zoning out. I ordered a hot dog and asked what toppings they had. Sounded pretty standard so I just got ketchup and mustard. I got a bottle of root beer to drink and took my seat in the shadiest spot I could find. It wasn't long before my order was ready and I went up to the truck to get it. I was handed a plain hot dog in a basket. Not a huge deal, I got ketchup from the dispenser but had to go back and ask for mustard. He apologized for forgetting to add the toppings. I really liked how the hot dog was scored on top. It was a big dog with a nice bun too. Altogether it was fine visit but nothing great.

The sauce that the lobster was tossed in was so watery that it completely soaked the roll and it became a flat piece of wet dough that you could not even pick up. It was disgusting. I had to go ask a fork just so I could eat the lobster without the roll. Anyone who has had lobster rolls before understand that the role is very important and it should not be flat mushy and wet. When I went to get the fork, I was asked why I needed a fork for the lobster roll and I told them that the role was ruined and wet and I couldn't even pick it up. I was then told that the next time I ordered a lobster roll I should get the one with the butter. I was then informed that I must not have been aware of what I was ordering and that's why it wasn't what I expected. I informed them that I was very aware of what I was ordering because I used to own a seafood restaurant and market and that what was served to me was unacceptable. I won't be getting lobster rolls there again, but I will go back for a burger.
