T & J's Dairy Barn is one of those places you drive by a hundred times and think to yourself "I've gotta stop and try that place some day." Well - that day finally arrived. A surprisingly diverse menu for such an unassuming building. Rockfish or flounder sandwiches, shrimp, ribs, hush puppies, seafood bisque, she crab soup, paninis, pizza, corn dogs, hamburgers, hot dogs, salads - and of course ICE CREAM! Decisions, decisions. Settled on a Chili Cheese Dog and a Chicago Dog -expecting a couple of mediocre, standard fare dogs - but to my surprise what should appear - but two footlong delicious dogs donned with mass quantities of happiness. Too much food! And too good not to finish. Girlfriend tried the cheesesteak and seasoned fries. Both awesome- though seemed the fries should have been cooked a little longer (a little mushy in the middle). Topped it off with a scoop of salted caramel ice cream - and the girlfriend went for pineapple coconut. So good it made our eyes roll to the back of our heads. Can't pass up the opportunity to take a selfie on the Cowch (a couch / bench shaped like a cow). Hard to beat the bargain of the Dairy Barn. And the friendly staff. We'll be back. Often.

Enjoying ice cream outside T & J's Dairy Barn!

Recently enjoyed several pizzas. Everyone always makes certain they go for the ice cream. A tradition for all the gang who visit us.

Yesterday we made a return visit to the Island House for a late lunch while enjoying a relaxing day…read moreon the Eastern Shore. This place is great! The staff and kitchen crew are CONSISTENTLY AMAZING! The food was (and always is) fresh and cooked perfectly, which is hard to find with seafood sometimes- but we have been here multiple times, and they never fail! There is a GREAT VIEW from any seat in the restaurant and the vibe is exactly what you would want in this hidden gem of a fishing town! The staff is SO friendly and accommodating also, we felt welcome and not rushed! We will be back and will be ringing the bell!

It's a long drive into the middle of nowhere to a very charming beachfront town but it was a dreary and rainy day. We easily parked in the large gravel lot and walked inside and were immediately sat at a table by the water with a lovely view. Our waitress was prompt and super friendly. We chose to get the crab hush puppies and were thrilled to see they were made fresh and hot to order and tasted phenomenal. We devoured them quickly. We decided to split the fish taco meal since it was lunch for us and it came with two large-sized tacos and cole slaw. It was a nice portion for an entree and was easily enough for both of us for a lighter lunch. Really delicious sweet tea so I took some to go. Small gift shop attached and tons of seating inside and expansive views of the water with a back wall of windows all around.

I…read morefondly remember our neighborhood burger spot (Crickets) and this is the new generation version. It is run by locals and full of local employees. It's were you go to see people you know and went to school with. Heck some of those kids working there may still be in school! The food is good, reasonably cheap and fast. If you want to "Buy Local", start here. When you come inside make a sharp turn and place your order. They have menus on the right hand side and take a look while you wait your turn. After you order, grab a spot inside or outside. Not a ton of space in or out, but enough and a lot of people just grab it to go which helps. After you order, wait your number and then pick up your prize. I have a huge soft spot for crabmeat and went with the crabcake sandwich. I bet their burgers are better. It wasn't bad, it was just good. Others in our party said the burgers were great. I'm such a consistent player that I never met a bad pecan pie nor a bad crab cake. I have a WIDE tolerance for my joy. I ordered a side of fries and they were ginormous. You only need one for every few people so be aware. Overall, super happy and look forward to my next visit.

She brought us a collection of their house made sauces for us to try without prompting, and we loved all of them! The server took our order, then took 33 minutes to bring our first round of drinks. Once they came she was pretty good on refills but after we'd waited for food for an hour she appeared to say that our food had been dropped in the back and so they had to redo it. this was after an hour ten minutes waiting. Another person came out to apologize and ask if there was anything they could do to help make the experience better. I had my four year old son with me who by this point was quite hungry. I asked for bread or anything fast. he said sure but nothing came. When the food did come it was bad. The cheese wasn't event melted and the burger was clearly undercooked. This restaurant has the advantage of geography; hatchery really the only other option. In any other competitive market they'd be out of business in a week. Steer clear and go to deltaville raw bar. Way better value and service.

The staff is consistently gracious and accommodating, which really sets them apart from other restaurants that seem to dread large parties. Even on a busy Friday night, we were seated in under thirty minutes. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and handled multiple tables with ease. He stayed on top of our orders and refills, and he took allergies seriously, checking with the kitchen to make sure certain dishes were safe. That level of care is always appreciated. As always, the food was excellent. I usually go for the crabcakes, but this time I tried the special, a crowned salmon, and it was so tasty. They truly do seafood well here, and the portions are always hearty. Every experience here is consistently great.
