I called to make my appointment, which I originally thought I'd have to do on the weekend since all other string stores are closed by the time I'm off work, and Molly was happy to give me some time on a Thursday night. I think I was there till a little after 8 and at no point did I feel rushed. When I arrived she had a select few violins ready for me to try for my level. In our initial phone call I hadn't given too much information about my skill but her selections for me were 100% what I needed. From reviews at other shops I thought I was going to be pressured into buying something expensive that I didn't need. That was absolutely not the case here. The selections she showed me were all in my price range and she answered any questions I had to make sure I chose the perfect instrument. I'll definitely be coming back.

I did EMT and Paramedic here. The instructors and admin staff are top notch and truly care about…read morethe success of the students. The owners are very involved with the classes and even serve as instructors from time to time. This involvement gave school leadership the ability to give a student the benefit of the doubt if a test score didn't reflect a student's mastery of a concept in practice, and provided additional instruction if needed. The administrative structure is light and nimble - compared to the top-heavy bureaucracy of a university of community college - and most issues were resolved with a single email or phone call. Or a visit the school president's office - who's door was always open, but was more likely found popping into classes to check for "issues, problems, complaints". Covid-19 locked the world down just before our midterm and, while others schools shutting down and delaying graduations, FRTG kept us on track. With all that said, I definitely recommend the school.

Ken is absolutely the best vocal coach I have ever worked with. The amount of progress I have seen…read moresince beginning lessons with him is exponentially better than any other experience I have had. My background...I am a full time musician/vocalist for a featured show at one of Orlando's major theme parks as well as for production companies in the area, performing a minimum of 5 days a week year-round. I have worked with various coaches throughout the years. I came across Ken via Brett Manning's site, and after being a student of both Singing Success and Mastering Mix, I had very high hopes and expectations. I have been blown away with the efficient pacing of lessons, the unique customizing to my learning style and performance needs, and, most importantly, the results. I have experienced much improved tone, more balance throughout my range, and recognition of the improvements from other performers and guests. I cannot recommend Ken Taylor enough, via the web or word of mouth. His prices are excellent (especially compared to other Orlando instructors) and his commitment to vocal training and education shows up in my results.

I do not recommend this preschool. The Friends Academy used to be a thriving, fantastic preschool,…read morewith its previous director. However, since taking over in early 2023, the preschool's quality has plummeted under the new director's leadership. The teachers seem to be trying, but they are constantly overwhelmed due to bad staffing decisions. The director lacks experience and customer service. Her communication was severely lacking, with ignored emails and messages, and a disregard for important issues such as developmentally appropriate lessons and practices for children. Teacher turnover is high, resulting in a very obvious decline in teacher quality and inconsistent care for the children. My then two-year old daughter had FIVE lead teachers between February-December 2023. In one instance, I advised the director that my daughter had a milk allergy and should not have been offered milk and she directly accused me of failing to notify the school. I directed her to review my daughter's files which did indeed contain the required form signed by her pediatrician regarding the allergy. Furthermore, hygiene standards are questionable, with instances of unclean practices directly observed by me as a parent. I personally witnessed the director's daughter, who was the lead teacher at the time, pass out lunches without washing her hands and began the lunch session without washing the hands of the children in the two-year-old classroom. I brought this to her attention and the director, and I was asked to "have some grace." In other instances where I presented my concerns to the director, she would often indirectly blame these concerns on the practices that were put in place by the last director as if she did not have the power to make improvements. There was just no accountability on her end. Additionally, the staff reliance on television for managing children is excessive. Children need to run around and play and use their imagination. They should not be offered overly stimulating movies or videos on teacher cell phones or tablets, or in the classrooms. I was often told that the children were offered short "learning videos" which were optional to watch. That was not the case. The children were often placed in front of the TV, and forced to sit in place. Despite concerns raised, accountability remained absent, making it clear that change is unlikely under the current leadership. I did my best to offer suggestions and resources, and I personally volunteered often. I met with the church pastor several times. He is a truly kind, genuine person; a great human being. Unfortunately, while we both wanted to see the same improvements, they simply did not happen. I withdrew my children in January of 2024. Since then, they have been THRIVING in a responsibly run preschool center. I am actually paying less in weekly tuition at another center that offers more veteran teachers, better teacher to student ratios, developmentally appropriate curriculums, and more extracurricular activities. I do not recommend this preschool and regret that I waited so long before removing my children. I hope this review spares another family from the issues that I experienced

This school was quick to expel my kid for 4 year old behaviors. Before I enrolled him here I was…read morevery transparent about my son's struggles (I had tried one school before this one that turned out to be a lot better than this one) and explained to them that we were working on getting him acclimated to a school environment since he has only been in school for about 6 months of his life, 4 prior to starting here. Most mornings when I dropped him off I stayed with him for about 30 minutes until the teacher turned on the clean up song before morning snack. I did this because I realized early on the teachers in his classroom were not going to work with him to get him use to the process of his new classroom (he would be expected to know what to do). Me staying had a positive impact on the outcome of his day. My son would need to get to a place where he felt comfortable and welcomed in order to be the best 4 year old he knows how to be. I guess this is a lot to ask of schools these days because they have "23 kids" in a classroom and don't have time to help kids individually. This is detrimental if you really think about it. There has to be an introductory process for kids that are not conformists and more anxious around new settings. He was only at this school for about 2 months. He never really got a fair chance. They were calling me about his behavior within the first week and that's when I knew I made a mistake and it wouldn't work. Calling me less than a week after a kid starts a new school meant in the long run they won't be bothered (hence the reason I started staying and working with him at the school) with his shortcomings. Oh look, I was right! I spoke to Ms Clark on Friday letting her know he was on a waiting list for a therapist to come work with him at the school and by Tuesday (he didn't go to school on Monday) I was called to pick him up for the reason that he was running around the classroom and not wanting to come inside from the playground. The lady at the front desk said my kid squeezed her hand (this is called agression) and he was expelled per the owners request apparently because they couldn't get him under control. I wonder how they got him to the front office to sit? This comes a day after he started his in home behavioral therapy that was designed to help him learn how to interact with others when situations arise in a positive way. I needed my son to learn the patience and communication that's expected of him from the preschool system. Seriously parents how do you do it? How do you get your kids to meet the preschool standards these days? I've tried everything! A lot of kids haven't learned it but they get by I guess. My son is a normal fun loving kid at home. I'm absolutely ok with him as a 4 year old but I do agree he needs help learning transitions and positive communication in a school setting but if I can't depend on a school to work with me on that then what? After noticing the adults running and working at preschools these days don't have patience with kids anymore and not wanting my son to be treated like an outcast I made every attempt that I could to address his behavior concerns at school. As I told the director, I was trying and they had to be blind not to see that. The school on the other hand made little attempt to assist my son with his transition and he learned nothing while there. Of all the mornings I stayed with him he was called ONCE to small center time with the teacher. I really hate to say this but it felt like she didn't want to be bothered with him and if I felt that way then my son was probably no different. My son is his best self when he feels loved. He's needy in that department. He likes hugs and needs to feel loved to do well. Never let people make you feel like you don't know your kids both positive and negative. I'm aware and I needed this school to be a school. ALL stages of development are important. My son has only been in this world for 4 years and i'm no longer burdening him with the crazy expectations placed on young kids (be good but I don't have time to teach you. Just know how & fast). I'm going to skip the preschool system and work with him in other ways as I was doing before I enrolled him here. Thank God he's a sponge and quick learner. He really loves to learn. He will get to where he needs to be with no help from this institution. As someone who has worked at an exceptional Montessori school in a different state I will NEVER understand preschools who give up on 4 year olds. I was made to feel like my kid was so abnormal when I know he's not because there were kids in his class just like him plus my years of working with kids I knew better. I knew some kids are just more difficult than others and that doesn't make them awful. I felt so bad I started to use terms like "maybe he's on the spectrum". Shame on me for that! This was definitely a rant but I paid a lot of wasted money for this opinion so there it is.
