I bought a guitar from a Guitar Center in California that was pictured with a tremolo bar, but it didn't ship with one. The original store said they'd send it, but it never showed up. What truly impressed me was how this location handled it. Holden and Steve were absolutely outstanding. Even though the issue wasn't their fault in the slightest, they were incredibly kind, professional, and genuinely apologetic. They didn't brush me off or make excuses--instead, they went all out, searching high and low through the store to find a tremolo bar that would fit my Jazzmaster. When they ultimately couldn't find a compatible one, they made it right by giving me a $30 store credit to cover the cost. That kind of ownership, effort, and customer care is rare these days. Holden and Steve represent customer service at its absolute best. Because of them, this location has earned my loyalty, and I'll be coming back here for all my future music needs. Bass players rave that this is the place you must check out--and now, I fully understand why. Before making the trip, I reached out to Beaver, the owner, via email. He was quick to respond, and incredibly detailed and thoughtful in his replies. He made sure all my questions were answered and gave me expert advice, which made me feel 100% confident in my purchase before I even set foot in the store. Unfortunately, due to some last-minute circumstances, I couldn't make it to the store to pick up the gear myself. Therefore, my wife, who knows nothing about bass gear, had to step in. She said the in-store experience was exceptional. The staff of Mike, JD, and a fellow named Grasshopper were super knowledgeable and passionate. They went out of their way to make her feel comfortable. In addition, they set up and tested everything, ensuring it was in perfect working order, and even helped her load the heavy amp and cabinet into her car. As for the Ampeg, it sounds phenomenal--rich, powerful, and exactly the tone I was after. If you're beginner, intermediate, or professional bass player, you need to visit Bass Central. I called to make my appointment, which I originally thought I'd have to do on the weekend since all other string stores are closed by the time I'm off work, and Molly was happy to give me some time on a Thursday night. I think I was there till a little after 8 and at no point did I feel rushed. When I arrived she had a select few violins ready for me to try for my level. In our initial phone call I hadn't given too much information about my skill but her selections for me were 100% what I needed. From reviews at other shops I thought I was going to be pressured into buying something expensive that I didn't need. That was absolutely not the case here. The selections she showed me were all in my price range and she answered any questions I had to make sure I chose the perfect instrument. I'll definitely be coming back.

Gary is the only one that works on saxophones, so his list can get pretty long, especially during the summer months when school is out. However, he always does his best to fit you in and work with your schedule. The work he does is fantastic! He's put some new pads on with the kangaroo skin he works with and recently did an overhaul of the right hand and I've noticed such a huge difference in my ease of playing the low notes. I kept thinking it was me the whole time until he fixed it up and now I'm playing great! No need for an appointment, you can just show up with your instrument. If you are on a deadline though, I would call to see how his list is looking and why your projected turnaround time is.
