I feel bad because I've been gate-keeping Dr. Kim as my chiropractor for such a long time, starting back during the pandemic. But I cannot say enough good things about this man!!! As someone who's gone to chiropractors for decades, I'm VERY old-school, in the sense of: - I don't want to spend an hour at my chiro because he wants to first spend 15 minutes of having a heating pad lay on me, and then another30 minutes with an exercise weight machine, followed up with another 15 minutes with a heating pad again, so I've wasted over an hour in their office and then literally only spend 3 minutes with their hands on my back. - I want to have an "Old-School" chiropractor whose ability you can tell based on how they feel your spine/back and adjust you with their hands and try not to rely on bells and whistles. I currently live in LA and went to Dr. Michael Cooper who retired and sold his chiro business to Dr. Mackenzie Kolt and let me tell you that I am VEERRYYYY picky about who I go to as a chiro, simply because of the bar that Dr. Cooper & Dr. Kolt have given me in LA. Dr. Kim meets that bar and then some more! PERSONALITY: - Dr. Kim is SUPER mild-manner and extremely polite. You can tell that he actually cares a lot about his patients and that he doesn't treat patients like cash cows, but that he genuinely wants to get to know more about you and your ailments and put you back in really great shape. He's very soft-spoken and you definitely feel really at ease with him. BILLING/COST: - To be honest, I found him through my insurance network. And even though my employer has changed insurance companies a few times, I've been lucky that Dr. Kim is within network, so I've only had to pay my copay, so I can't give any more information outside of that. But I will say that this is a "1-man job" where Dr. Kim is the doctor, the receptionist, the insurance contact person, etc., so that fact that he wears a million hats and yet STILL is genuinely one of the the nicest and the most patient and soft-spoken medical professionals I've come across...I'm repeatedly wowed by how great he is! TECHNIQUE: Again: - If you're looking for someone that will pamper you with cucumber water and flatter you with sweet nothings and lead you into an expensive, bougie medical spa, then don't come here. - Or if you're looking for someone to commit insurance fraud with, then DEFINITELY don't come here, because Dr. Kim doesn't deserve to be put up with your shenanigans. But if you want someone who has had decades of experience doing chiropractic care, and you're looking for someone who ONLY cares about your well-being and making you feel better, then come see Dr. Kim. During my first visit yeeaaarrrssss ago, the first thing he did was get to you know you more, through the forms on his website that you fill out to give you some idea of your background. Then when you come to his office, he'll talk with you to get to know you better. But tbh, my memory's a little hazy about that since it's been sooooo long since those first few days. But every time I go back to San Jose, I ALLLWWAAAYYYSSS make it a point to schedule with Dr. Kim multiple times and give him my service. He *does* use a larger-model Thumper hand-operated massage device very briefly, but that's to loosen you up for a few seconds before he relies on his hands and strength to adjust your spine. I have to be honest and chuckle that the first time I saw him, I though to myself, "Okay, this mild-mannered and soft-spoken Asian-American guy with average height is NOT going to be able to work on me, who's 5'11" and 230 pounds"...and yeah, Dr. Kim definitely surprised me with his technique and how amazing he is...hehe... Each time I walk away from Dr. Kim's office, my back definitely feels relieved and loosened and I'll keep coming back to Dr. Kim as long as I can!!! read more

Super nice and knowledgeable! I go almost once a week and feel so much better each time. I have really bad lower back and hip pain from doing sports. read more

Honestly, visiting him changed my life. Before this, I went to another place in Saratoga that cost a lot more. While I felt some temporary relief, the pain in my hips and lower back never fully went away. It eventually got so bad that I couldn't sit in a chair for more than 20 minutes, and I even started experiencing nerve pain in my knees. I couldn't handle it anymore, so I began looking for another provider. Thank goodness I found Dr. Kim. After just one visit, the pain in my knee was completely gone. I was so grateful. I've been seeing him since 2024, and the pain has never come back. I now visit him regularly for lower back and hip adjustments due to long hours of sitting and poor posture, and I always feel so much lighter and better after each appointment. He's incredibly kind and loves chatting with you throughout the session, which makes every visit comfortable and enjoyable. read more

Excellent chiropractic care! He is one of the best by far. I always recommend him to my friends, family and co-workers! I cannot say enough about him, the VERY BEST!! He listens, knows what he's doing and most of all takes care of his patients! read more

Dr. Kim is awesome! And since I haven't been seeing him as regularly as I used to due to the pandemic, I realized what a great chiro he was. Working long hours in front of a computer and also lifting weights led to a lot of shoulder and back issues. Many times, I arrived at Dr. Kim's office with my upper body completely stiff. One thing I truly appreciate is that he takes the time to evaluate you from head to toe, identifying the areas of tension, loosening up the knots, and getting your body warmed up before he makes the proper adjustments. Dr. Kim would often offer tips to prevent the pain from returning. It's obvious his goal was not just to offer immediate relief, but to help you feel good long time. I would certainly recommend Dr. Kim. read more

I saw Dr. Kim last year because I must've pulled something while grabbing my luggage down from the overhead bin, at work. The pain that shot down my neck and shoulder became unbearable. I called his office to see if he had any available walk-in appointments and he replied promptly, willingly able to see me the same day. He was so nice, understanding and caring. After asking me a few simple questions about my subsequent movements, it seemed like he knew exactly what was wrong and walked me through his application of treatment. Within a few seconds of him working his magic, I could instantly feel that my back had been realigned and whatever I had done to myself was undone. In addition to how great his treatments felt on my body, I was so grateful for the extreme and immediate relief he was able to provide. On my second visit, he was so kind as to stay later and squeeze me in even after close of business hours. His office is closed for a few days out of the week but if you can get around that, look no further for the best chiropractor in the Blossom Hill/Santa Teresa Area or (quite possibly) all of San Jose. read more

I have been going to Dr Kim for maybe 10 and 11 years. He is wonderful. He listen to the issue you are having and helps with the pain. He is very flexible and easy to get appointments. read more

Dr. Taylor Kim is the best Chiropractor I've found in my 46 years in the Bay Area. I was referred to him by my buddy who is in law enforcement. If he can help my buddy who has to wear a duty belt everyday, I figured Dr. Kim could help me. Boy was I right. Every appointment makes me feel refreshed and new. I love that he's local in my neighborhood. I have friends driving down to south San Jose just to see him too. Thank you Dr. Kim! read more

Dr. Kim Is a pleasure to deal with - also great at addressing issues with neck, back or any part of the body.

Taylor is great! Been going to him for a few years now. He is very gentle but always helps me get realigned and feeling better. Very fast reply time, too. Highly recommend! read more

My review was filtered by Yelp, but I wanted Dr. Kim to get the excellent rating so here it is again: Tomorrow will be my 29th visit...I think. I lost count after 20. Not only is Dr. Kim very knowledgeable and good at what he does, he is patient and personable. He has been flexible with my work schedule and was quite understanding when I've forgotten to show up for a few appointments. Oops! Sorry Dr. Kim! Dr. Kim doesn't give you the sales pitch or BS about subluxation, show you a fancy video, require you to get an x-ray, or charge you an initiation fee. He genuinely cares about your health, and is not pushy about the number of visits. My medical plan only covers 24 visits per year. Dr. Kim was able to request for additional visits with the insurance company. I upped my one treatment per week to two treatments. His treatments aren't the usual 5 minute adjustments you get from other chiropractors. He takes his time and actually kneeds the knots and troubled spots. Sometimes the visits feel more like a combo massage therapy/chiropratic adjustment. read more

I've been to my share of chiropractors and I would say that Dr. Kim is one of the best. Aside from being very knowledgeable he also listens to what ails you and tailors (no pun intended) the treatment to alleviate that (he's not like other chiropractors I've seen before who go through the same adjustments for everyone). He's also not the pushy type of chiropractor who wants you to visit him 3 times a week whether or not you really need it. On top of all this he is very friendly and personable and shows genuine concern for his patients. His office is kind of tucked away in a quiet location. I actually like this though because there's less traffic and I'm not wasting my time sitting idly in a waiting room with a bunch of other people before getting to see him. Speaking of time... Dr. Kim has even been kind enough to stay late (as late as 6 or 7 pm) in order to accomodate me and my wife's busy schedules. read more

Catching up on some reviews... I was a patient with Dr. Kim for about two years, 2009-2011, and went to see him every 2-4 weeks. The only reason why I stopped was because I moved 50 miles away, but if I was still near MV I would definitely still be a regular patient. read more

Dr. Kim has been a lifesaver for my migraines and chronic neck pain. He is gentle and efficient and most importantly honest! I have had so much relief from headaches and migraines since starting with him. He also wears a mask and happily answered that he is vaccinated when I asked. I feel safe going to his office during the pandemic and am really grateful! read more

If 6 stars were available, I would give him 7! Here is my experience with Dr. Kim... I stupidly decided to rest a box of wine on my head so I could reach in my pocket to get my car keys. Like an accordion, my upper spine immediately went bang, bang, bang. Luckily, I didn't drop the wine, but I was now stuck in a Dr. Evil pose where I couldn't sit, stand, lay, turn, or even breath in a manner that didn't hurt. I suffered through that for one day and decided I needed to find a chiropractor. This office was recommended by a friend so I called that Friday morning and asked if there was any way they could fit me in before the weekend. They said he would stay late and see me at the end of the day - 5:30pm. I showed up and Dr. Kim met me promptly. He asked what happened and after a couple minutes of testing my range of motion, he started making a couple minor adjustments, warned me about a major one, and BAM! One pop and all of the pressure was gone. It was like the antithesis of the wine box. I think he charged me $80 all said and done. read more

This is the second time I've seen Dr. Kim and this service was even better than the first. I've been suffering with lower back pain since high school, and my work style has me sitting long hours which leads to pain in my neck and shoulders. Getting an assessment and adjustment from Dr. Kim alleviated my discomfort and we discussed strategies and tools to help me manage my own care at home. He never sold me anything I didn't need, he patiently answered my questions, and he has the gentlest and kindest manner. Thanks Dr. Kim, see you next month! read more

My husband and I love Dr. Kim. Our backs and necks always feel amazing afterwards. He's really easy to speak to and also informative. Would highly recommend. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Kim's since the start of the year and he has definitely been helping me regain the health of my back due to poor posture. Whenever I ask him a question about my adjustments, he always has the answer with visuals or good explanations to help me understand. He also gives feedback on what I should expect or positive things when I physically exercise, while keeping that in mind for my next visit. He always works around my work schedule and is always accepting of my sometimes quirky personality. I recommend Dr. Kim because he's eventually going to save the world's back problems, one non-ergonomic computer workstation hunched-over human at a time. read more

I have seen many chiropractor before Dr. Kim and most of them helped me feel good temporary. Sometimes my L5 was out again in only 1 hour! I had my first appointment with Dr. Kim 2 weeks a go and ever since I felt that my spine condition was getting better and better! Day after day I was feeling even better than the day before. Couple days a go I had my second adjustment. Things are really improving! First time in many years! Less pain, better posture easier breathing. I even feel I am taller! Besides the health improvement, I really enjoy Dr. Kim way of connecting with his patients: he is very calm and understanding, very knowledgeable and you leave feeling like a new person! One more detail...I am very busy, running my own wellness center and I have to drive 40 minutes to get to his office. Every time I feel it is so worth it! Thank you very much Dr. Kim. Keep up the good work :). read more

There are so many chiropractors, I've been treated by some after certain age, oh well, you know why, part of aging..., most of them are OK but Dr. Kim is great. I first visited Dr. Kim two years ago; he was nice, polite, and most important, very knowledgeable in his field. And just recently, I hurt my back and had some discomfort of my neck. I didn't have second thought, made the appointment with him, and felt much better right after the visit. This time, I still think he is great at his profession. Highly recommended. read more

Just some good advise to improve the quality of life. I have a bulging disk in C-2 and a fracture on C-7! Wow, has Dr. Kim helped me cope without anymore epidurals from Kaiser. Trigger point, massage therapy and chiropractic will help the pain. I highly recommend Dr. Kim! Rae H. read more

I have major spine issues. I have a spinal fusion in my neck and also have spinal stenosis degenerative disc disease and bulging disks. I get regular injections in my back and my neck. I have tried chiropractors in the past and did not have much success. I also had felt that some of them only did as little as possible to get your back in their office. I have to say this is not the case with Dr Kim.I went into this thinking it would only help a little bit. He was able to make it, after one visit, that I can now turn my head to the left. This is something I have not been able to do in over 7 years. I could not be more happy with his work!!! read more

I went based on stellar yelp reviews. 5 stars for treatment 1 star for cost and honesty I was pleased he spent about 35 minutes on me looking at my posture, massaging (setting a vibrator on my back), and then cracking. I asked him how much it would cost and he said if I paid then it was $50 so I figured it would be the same on my insurance. Since I have a health account on my insurance I route everything through there. He ends up charging my insurance for 4 different procedures totaling $220: $85.00 - 99202, Office or other outpatient visit for the evaluation and management of a new patient. $60.00 - 98941, Chiropractic manipulative treatment. $45.00 - 97140, Manual therapy techniques. $30.00 - 97012, Application of a modality to one or more areas. How in the world does one chiropractic appointment have 4 different charge codes for $220? So apparently it costs $85 just to walk in the door and be "evaluated" and that includes no therapy. The "manipulation," whatever that part is, costs another $60, then of course there's manual therapy he did, and at last as we all know they have that last final icing on the cake of application of a modality. WTF is this?? I'm pretty sure charge #1 is the only charge that should have been charged. And people wonder what is wrong with health care in America... this is ludicrous! I can get a solid 1 hr massage for $60 and and crack my back on a foam roller. The insurance of course has negotiated rates because (for some odd reason) they automatically assume the Dr is a compete rip-off. So the bill out of my health care account ended up being $98. If you don't mind his cash costs, pay cash!! Maybe you're insurance is better than mine and you don't see the charges in which case you don't care how much he rapes your insurance forcing the country to require socialistic healthcare. As far as chiropractors go, he seems to spend good time on the patient and is worth it if the costs come out right. read more

My family has been using Dr. Kim's services for about 3 years now (Dr. Kim took over Dr. Hey's practice several years ago). We are ecstatic that he has continued to maintain the high standards we have become accustomed to. We only see him as needed and he is not the type that tries to get you on a repeating schedule. I've seen different chiropractors on and off again for many years and Dr. Kim is one of the best ones I've had. He handles insurance and is professional, caring and attuned to each of us on an individual basis. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! read more

This was not my first time seeing a chiropractor. I was a regular in Hawaii, but since I've relocated I needed one pronto. I was delighted when I met Dr. Kim. I do NOT hesitate to recommend Dr. Kim. I have only seen 3 other Chiropractors before Dr. Kim and one I have never recommended and never will. The Chiropractor I was seeing before retired and Dr. Kim was his replacement. Lucky me that I didn't have to go anywhere else - Dr. Kim is minutes from my home and not that much further from where I work - and the biggest blessing is that Dr. Kim is the best Dr. I am so blessed. Yes, I highly recommend Dr. Taylor Kim. All the positive reviews on this site prove it. If you need a Chiropractor, do NOT hesitate to call Dr. Kim. Ann R. read more
