The nurse who discharged me was awesome too though I didn't catch her name. She even helped me get into my car. They all went above and beyond. Excellent staff. My doctor explained everything I needed to know and answered my questions. Even the anesthesiologist and her assistant were wonderful.

And now I wouldn't recommend this place to ANYONE! If you are a patient that makes no noise and just lays there then yes! They have no patience's for anything else! And yes that's what was told to me that because their father has yelling outbursts they don't have the patience's to work with him or deal with the outbursts! They had him sitting in the dark! Hoping he would just go away! Their bedside manners are down right pathetic! Never no one around when you need assistance! It was like a ghost town 99% of the time! If you don't get better in the time frame they want you to then you are pushed out to somewhere else! I am beyond angry right now! And disappointed that place that used to be best in the world! Is now a disgrace! If you don't have the patience and empathy to care for your patients then you do not belong in this field of work!

My experience with this facility has been a nightmare of medical negligence and administrative silence. Despite my repeated, urgent attempts to coordinate a safe transition for a close relative, the staff--specifically Social Workers Marjan S., Shenay A. and Unit Manager Erin T. - completely ignored formal emails, faxes, and phone calls regarding an unsafe discharge plan. We had a fully funded, clinical transfer ready for this relative at a specialized facility. Instead of assisting with this safe transition, Northwest Hospital chose to discharge a vulnerable individual with no resources, no medication, and no support system on December 31st. They effectively discharged a human being into homelessness in the middle of winter, despite being warned of the life-threatening consequences. The "Patient Experience" team is a ghost department; they do not respond to escalations. This hospital prioritizes "clearing beds" over human safety and clinical ethics. If you care about the survival of your loved one, do not let them be treated here. Their lack of communication and disregard for post-discharge safety is a disgrace to the medical profession.

I spent 5 useless days basically on my own. Given a new medication just for the 5 day stay that was clearly meant to make us docile with no concern for side effects or continued care. There we're barely any windows and they didn't take us outside and only to the indoor gym once to walk laps around the basketball court. So, a bunch of mentally unwell kids locked in a dark and dingy small hospital with one small room to hang out in. The staff was extremely cold, rude, and visibly annoyed by all of us. We we're mostly on our own with nothing to do. I received more help and support and kind words from other teens than I did from the staff. I entered with severe health anxiety with a huge fear of dying and was placed with a disturbed roommate who claimed she was in for attempting to kill her family members and promptly threatened to kill me. I eventually won her trust, but was always on edge as anything set her off and she treated me like I owed her something. probably the worst kind of roommate for a teen with death anxiety. I left by telling the doctor what he wanted to hear and was again threatened if I didn't send the roommate money she'd find me and kill me when she got out. Any health concerns brought to staff were met with eye rolls and annoyance. Zero support or care involved. I truly can't believe this place is still functioning and vulnerable people are being sent here.
