I booked Taylor & Son's through UHaul while booking a truck. Spoke with Adrian Taylor in advance of the move and got things pretty much settled. I was a little frazzled bc day of they arrived an hour early (I was told that reservation time included a two hour window). Honestly all of the crazy was on my end - long wait picking up the truck and not getting the size truck I originally reserved. There were three young men, I believe Chad, and two others. They were AWESOME. They were careful with my things and dealt with a strange situation with grace, professionalism and a little humor. They communicated beautifully and honestly had I known how good they were going to be I would have booked them for the load in on the other end. We hired Taylor And Son's through U-Haul to pack and load our 3-bed house into a truck today - I opted to drive the truck myself, and we have another company unloading. They were prompt, friendly, speedy, and professional. The team of four handled both our heavy and our delicate goods with care. I encouraged them to take the breaks they needed, which were reasonable - one or two 10-min breaks over three hours of intense manual labor on a 90°+ day is very okay with me - and they didn't dawdle or waste time. read more

Do not recommend, they messed up my night tables and matress plus overcharged me!!!Look for someone else!!!

I used Taylor and Sons in May of 2023 to move mostly dressers , wood furniture etc. Minimal boxes . They arrived on time. I ordered 2 movers for 3 hours. They brought 3 movers. Most of the time moving things they argued amongst themselves as to how to pack the truck. They also slid things across my floors and even broke 2 legs off of quite old (antique) furniture. They didnt even care about that just told me how to fix it ! Then when I took the uhaul truck to the storage facility, they were about 35 min late arriving - they had stopped to get lunch! Didnt even care they made me wait. They packed my unit terrible, no thought on how to maximize space which left me with little room to add more items later on. And then to top it off, they charged me for an extra HOUR. If they had eliminated the lunch break and the argue time, they wouldve gotten it done in the time I had booked them for. We hired this company over 2 years ago and it was the exact same ordeal of damages, carelessness and slacking off as these other reviews indicate. One of the guys stumbled around, and a couple of them reeked of alcohol. And get this - once they had already started moving boxes out, they told me the ramp that came with the truck was broken!! And they were sorry but there was nothing they could do about it at that point!! Also, they hardly loaded any of my furniture because they said the time I paid for was up and there was no more room on the truck anyway!!! I ended up having to leave behind my entire bedroom set, an expensive futon, my entire dining set with buffet, and a large recliner!!! Even though, I, too, tried to get in touch with management, etc. during and after the work was done, I just kept getting the run around about the person I needed to speak with was not in and they would just forward my complaints/messages but I never heard anything back. We hired a moving crew, not a wrecking crew!!! We hired Taylor & Son's Moving on Friday, 6/25. Both my husband & I called the contact person for the company regarding the dissatisfaction with the service. Below is list of issues we encountered, damages we sustained to our property, etc.: * The movers did not show up on time so we had to call & find out where they were numerous times. They finally arrived 30-40 minutes late. * As soon as they started to move our items, they began to damage things - walls, etc. Attached you will see a series of pictures showing the damages. We spoke to one of the movers and asked him to be more careful. We then called & spoke to our contact person from the company asking if he could reinforce the same with the movers. Neither conversation changed the situation and more damages ensued. Additionally, parts of our master bed, workout equipment are missing so they are no longer able to be used. * One of the movers was definitely out of it most of the time he was there and seemed to be on his phone a lot and not helping. We paid for 3 movers, not for someone to not work while on site and for us to move ourselves. * We allowed the movers to borrow 8 blankets to help protect our items going in & out of the truck. These blankets were not returned and are in the possession of the movers. They cost approximately $300. We hired a moving crew, not a wrecking crew!!! So, not only do we have damages to our items, damages to walls, doors, but we do not have our blankets. And on top of all of that, we had to pay for extra time for the movers just to get the job completed. To say we are frustrated, dissatisfied, and upset with Taylor & Son's Moving is putting it mildly. We hired a moving crew, not a wrecking crew!!! We believe our experience warrants an explanation, review of costs paid, and return of our moving blankets. We expect a response and action taken as soon as possible. We did not expect to babysit the moving crew. We all know moving usually entails new owners. Your crew damaged our property and interior of the house. These damages caused issues when the buyers did their walkthrough at settlement. We hired a moving crew, not a wrecking crew!!! When we called to finalize the bill, the person on the phone said they would compensate us 30 minutes of paid time. 6 hrs X 3 guys plus us two owners at 6 hrs total for 900 sq ft is ridiculous. Minus 30 minutes is a real insult to a sellers and movers process. 30 minutes does not cover the damages created by your moving crew. To us, it's all about communication - it's a two-way street. Customer to business owner. We should not have had to constantly communicate from our side during and after our move. Moving is stressful enough. We hired a moving crew, not a wrecking crew!!! Not to mention again that the moving crew was late. We had to inquire where they were. And we had to make phone calls to report the carelessness and disregard to our property. We hired a moving crew, not a wrecking crew!!! We can go back & for all day. Bottom line - Taylor & Son's has not rectified this situation in any means. We have bills from our general contractor and the bills showing where we lost money at settlement. We have documented proof with pictures. FYI - there was a security system in the house which included 4 outdoor cameras and two inside. Your crew knew this because they saw me uninstall them.
