When my first son was born I was able to schedule an appointment with her before giving birth just to meet her and touch base. When i gave birth on Kapiolani hospital she came to visit my son in the NICU and me as well even though I had to stay back in the mother & children's unit for my own medical reasons. Every phone call, message and question was answered. My second son was born 2 years later and she came to visit us every single day since he was born while we stayed in the hospital, some days she even came TWICE! My sons are my everything and I trust Dr.Saito with everything I have. She really and truly is the best Doctor. I would also like to shine light and the rest of the staff members here. The nurses are literally the most sweetest ladies you will ever meet, they know all of their patients on a first name basis, and they're very professional yet personable.

He's kind, patient, and flexible when it comes to our preferences for treatment. We never feel pressured to make certain healthcare decisions and always feel like he has the best interest of our children at heart. Our kids aren't afraid of the nurses and staff, and "shot" days are always a breeze. Everyone we've met has given exceptional care. The office is clean and sanitary. Hand sanitizer is sitting at the front desk, and there are sinks with soap in each room. Each exam room is decorated with a different Disney themed wallpaper. The Star Wars room is our kids' personal favorite, and they love to play "I spy" while we wait to see the doctor. The Disney stickers offered at the end of their appointments are a sweet cherry on top! Safety measures taken by the staff: masks, gloves, patients wait in the exam rooms (not in the waiting room), front door is left open. They even have masks and other kid friendly items for purchase up front. We have to make the drive from Mililani to Kahala for visits, but it is well worth the drive. We highly recommend this office and Dr. Buehler to anyone and everyone!

My baby's doctor is Mary Nino and she is such a sweetheart! I recommend her to anyone that needs a pediatric doctor who is willing to go above an beyond to meet your baby's needs. The office facility is located in town with plenty of parking. Once you get to the door, they require you to wear a mask and take everyone's temperature that's coming in. The office itself is decorated and beautiful and colorful animal paintings on every wall. The examination rooms are also decorated in art and the whole atmosphere feels so welcoming and child friendly. The ladies working the front desk are also very helpful, courteous and friendly. The nurses that see my baby are always so sweet. I love coming here and am thankful to have the opportunity of receiving care from them. Thank you Hawaii Pediatrics!

I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Dr. Loui and her team! Most important…read morenote: we're not even Dr. Loui's regular patients! We go to Dr. Lori Yamanaka but found out she's on vacation and Dr. Loui is covering for her. First of all, I'm loving this MyChart messaging feature (which may, or may not, have been implemented without covid). I wrote to Dr. Lori about my kid's swimmer's ear problem on Thursday morning, was informed by phone later that morning about her vacation, and Dr. Loui or Dr. Joy is covering for her. I had no preference (altho tbh I can't remember if she offered haha) and fortunately for us Dr Loui is awesome!! We communicated with Dr. Loui via MyChart the entire time. Super convenient, highly recommend using it instead of calling! Anyway I told Dr. Loui the kid is going off island for a week and she very graciously offered to see us the next day! Her office is super cute! I love love love the decor! They totally put in so much effort to lessen the "doctor's office" vibes. I think they might have been going for chic beach-themed nursery look, complete with sea stars, sea shells, and mermaids! Everyone was super kind, patient, and friendly! Everyone! Jenny took the kid's vitals and took notes. Then Dr. Loui came in and introduced herself, but her demeanor is so open and approachable, I felt like she's been taking care of us for ages! We talked about sports and her kids' experience with sports and school. After examination of both ears, I was expecting her to prescribe medication, give us instructions, and we'd be on our way. BUT NO! Another nurse/assistant (I didn't get her name) took him for a hearing test since we reported some difficulty hearing. Then, she returned to clean the kid's ears with a water drill thing! She's super gentle and very sweet and helped degunk the compacted wax in his right ear (which isn't the problematic one). The left ear was a no go though, coz it was too sore. Throughout the process she was very kind to him, never once making him uncomfortable or pressuring him. Then Dr. Loui came back to wrap up the consultation and prescription/instructions. The whole appointment was at least an hour long but I didn't feel like they were rushing to get us out of the clinic. Side note: I'm pretty sure that years ago, Dr. Loui was one of the pediatricians that my ob-gyn referred us to. I'm not certain now why we ended up not picking her, maybe I was hormonal and irritable and didn't like waiting in the waiting room! Plus maybe back then her office wasn't as nice as it is haha I can't remember! But I'm very happy knowing that my doctor referred us to two very kind, compassionate, friendly, and awesome pediatricians!! For new moms-to-be looking up Yelp, don't hesitate! Dr. Loui is awesome and well worth the wait!! Also, I don't think it's fair to give her one star for not accepting new patients who aren't new mothers. Doctors deserve to establish boundaries for their own and their staff's mental health, and also for their current patients'! No sense having many patients if they can't make an appointment coz she's always fully booked, does it?? #32/2021

They said they're currently accepting new patients, but case by case and the doctor picks. All they asked was "is your daughter healthy?" The person on the phone had an attitude from the beginning to the end of the call where I left my information and asked when I would hear back. Unfortunately since then my daughter has broken out in hives so I called them again. When I gave my info again they then said "oh yeah that request has been denied." It was disappointing to have bad customer service from the beginning and to wait and have to follow up with them. A courtesy heads up that they wouldn't have been accepting us would've been greatly appreciated.

(See my review for Dr. Derek Ching)…read more Dr. Ching has been our primary physician for our twin daughters since birth (they're 10 years old now). He's everything we wanted in a pediatrician - kind, patient, thorough, knowledgable, etc. The advantage of him being a part of Children's Doctors is the availability of seeing his partner (Dr. Gesteuyala?) when he isn't available - as was the case when our younger twin was ill and needed to be seen immediately. We found her to be awesome as well. The staff is friendly and courteous , too. The only negative would be the parking situation as it's very limited, so plan your visits during non peak hours if possible. We've actually been fortunate to find street parking on a few occasions when the lot was full. Bonus: Leonard's Bakery is down the street, so you can walk over for a hot malasada as a bribe/reward as needed.

She responds really promptly way past regular hours sometimes! She would also send announcements of when she's out of the office and which doctors will be covering for her. I appreciate this aspect of communication. There was a long-time nurse in her office who was always rather brusque but we got to know her and realized underneath the gruffness she's actually super kind. The nurses in the office now are new-ish and I hardly recognize them but they're nice. She's located in KMCWC. Highly recommend her!

We've been coming to her since our son was a baby and she's been fantastic! Being that we were first time parents, we had all kinds of questions and concerns. We would call the Physician's exchange and leave her a message, and she would call us back that day and help us. She is always so kind and concerned about our son. There was a time when our son had to go to the emergency room several times and she was there every step of the way. Also, when he is sick she would try to squeeze us in that day to take care of him. We have nothing but wonderful experiences with Dr. Lori and feel blessed to have her take care of our little boy. I honestly wished when I was young to have a doctor like Dr. Lori!
