I'll be real... I like going to Book Stores, but I rarely actually buy anything at them these days. I feel bad. I go, I get ideas, and then I go to Amazon. Book Stores function best now in a captive environment. What environment is more captive than an Airport? If you are not up on downloading a book to your Kindle App, you need this place.
If you are not familiar with Tattered Cover, the chain is local to Denver and is an institution. It has a proud history and some really great locations. If you have not made a trip to the LoDo location do yourself a favor and make sure to check it out. When I arrived back in the mid-2000's, Tattered Cover was hot. It has since expanded and I was pleasantly surprised to see it at Denver International Airport - and in all three Terminals.
This Tattered Cover is in Terminal A right in the main area. While it is nothing like the stand-alone stores, they still have a few familiar elements like the Tattered Cover Recommends section. The store has a fairly small footprint but there is a wide-selection of airport reads. Overall, solidly above average in comparison to the typical airport bookstore. Plus, it gets point to the nostalgia-factor since I don't get to hang out at their actual stores these days. read more
