We got the Pabellón Arepa with Black Beans, Shredded Beef or Shredded Chicken, Plantain Strips, Cheese and Avocado. They knocked it outta the park. The bun was crispy, airy perfection and the flavors and texture of everything inside it was spot on. The 2 sauces that came with it took it over the top. 5/5 would recommend. Even the seating underneath the little covered patio was nice and comfortable. Will definitely be coming back. Oh, and we also tried the Venezuelan Chicha, a traditional drink made from rice with milk that is served with lots of ice and bathed in condensed milk and ground cinnamon. It's different, there's actual rice in the drink, but it didn't phase us. The taste was on point. Well done Chamo's.

The pups were a pleasant surprise. Basically- bit into a well made hush puppy and encountered an unexpected, delicious 'surprise'... It just WORKS!! Was hesitant to try gumbo so far from Louisiana but when one of the owners told me his parents are from Baton Rouge, I knew it deserved a try. It was AMAZING! They have plenty of vegetarian items. I got the pad see ew. It was very good, but either they didn't think to ask me about the spice level (or there isn't an option)--I'm not sure. I was so hungry after hiking that I forgot to ask them to make it spicy. No matter, it was good nonetheless. I do wish they had tofu as a protein option, but I know we are in Branson... one of the most meaty and non-healthy places on earth. My wife got the pineapple fried rice with chicken and loved it. Overall, Tom's and the area in general are absolutely stellar. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for something other than greasy, fried or meaty foods. The owner was very friendly. I will definitely come back when I'm in the area for a quick bite to eat.
