All tasty tacos are truly tasty, but this freestanding restaurant earns "favorite" status because it is easy to get to off the interstate, is especially sparkly clean, and has more sunshine streaming through the windows then seems possible. it's a bit ridiculous to have a phone pick up line and then make them wait and go in line with the people ordering in so that I can sit there and wait longer while my food gets cold. the reason to phone in a order is so that you can pick it up when it's ready. I hear about this place and decide that maybe it will be a nice Mexican restaurant. So I walk into the restaurant and realize it is fast food! This disappoints me, thinking that it won't be authentic Mexican, (hint hint: it wasn't) so I go up to the line and see a guy with greasy hair and dirty hands taking my order. He was mumbling the whole time and was very rude. I order the original flour and the steak flour. About five minutes later I get another red flag. My food was already ready. This is bad because you know they have just been heating this up all day, and didn't prepare after I order. I get it and a puffy flour taco arrives at my seat. This make me lose my appetite! I was visiting from Chicago, and everyone was telling me I HAD to try Tasty Tacos...but I must say I'm disappointed. I had two chicken tacos on flour tortillas (they only came with lettuce and shredded cheese) and it was SO bland. The only good part was their homemade salsa that was on top of every table there. That was the only reason I finished my tacos (that and I was starving). In my opinion the flour tortilla was mushy, they should have added slat and pepper to their chicken, and their quesadilla is literally a flour tortilla microwaved with cheese. SO gross. read more

I ordered the orignal beef tacos. The shell is an interesting creation, much like an Indian taco shell. They stuffed that shell full of a pile of meat and veggies. It was delicious. I love Tasty Tacos. I literally grew up on these. Every time I go back home I have to go at least twice. When I was a kid they had a limited menu and used to only do the original and a bean taco but now they have so much more. My favorite is the classic original with a boat load of cheese and lettuce. I in addition to their amazing hot sauce I like to add a little sour cream on mine. They are so filling. You get stuffed to the brim with this awesome subtle flavor. Others may not agree but I like when the bread gets a little soggy from the beef sauce. I feel like it really absorbs the flavor of the meat. A lot of other family and friends love the enchiladas and taco salads. From looking at the menu they have a variety of sides including your standards such as rice and bean but now they include items like onion rings and cheese curds. Deep fried crispy flower shell's, fresh shredded lettuces, homemade everything, all the tasty meats. It was just alright. I wasn't a big fan of the deep fried taco shell aka chalupa shell. It wasn't overly greasy or sloppy, but I just found it all very flavorless. I also got some fried stuffed jalapenos, which were great, but straight from the freezer as expected. The interior is remeniscent of a "town house of pizze" type place. pretty run down with no real decor other than the front counter and some of those two in one benches + tables.
