I've heard a lot of hype about this place over the years, but since we don't live that close to it we never had a chance. Well, finally we were in the area and got excited to order. Meh. The all-dressed pizza was fine, it looks nice, it tastes fine, I don't understand the excitement and hype. It was an average Nova Scotia pizza joint pizza. The Donair eggrolls were a travesty. Maybe a teaspoon of meat in each one, and not even the good Donair meat. The cheap stuff that probably came in a pack. Very unlikely to order again. read more

Granted we called on Boxing Day which is probably a busy day for them (they seemed to have a phone ringing in the background as well) but the service was terrible. We called to ask if they had any specials and the guy who answered the phone continually just kept snapping "what size pizza do you want?!" Instead of answering our question. When we couldn't get an answers to our question we politely said "ok, never mind, thank you" and instead of a response, just heard a click on the other end. We may try ordering from them again anther time, but then again, there are plenty of other pizza places in the area with great customer service, so who knows! read more

I recently moved back home to Nova Scotia after living in Montreal for years. Needless to say pizza in Montreal was exceptional. Everyone made their own dough and sauce and everyone had a brick oven. After moving home I found it difficult to find a pizza shop worthy of being my "go to". I like a place that can deliver consistent service and product without resorting to frozen crusts and such. When I discovered Tasty Pizza I knew my search was over. It might not be cooked in a brick oven but the pizza is just as the name claims. It's just the right balance of toppings, cheese and crust. I can honestly say that Tasty Pizza certainly lives up to the name. read more

I wish I could give no stars!!!! Horrible customer service, we have been customers and so has my father in law for YEARS. This evening when placing an order on the phone, the gentleman got overly snarky when I asked for my pizza to be half one kind and half another "are you serious? You really want me to half half a pizza for you" I proceeded with the order despite him being rude only to call after an hour and ask where it is and have them hang up on me. Called back again and someone else answered- super aggressively told us we were liars and it hadn't been over an hour (when I have screenshots of the time) cursed and hung up the phone. So I ordered a donair pocket from Tasty Pizza last night and the second bite had hair baked in it and in the rest of the pocket. When I called to tell them they said it's to late and Dave isn't in. Took the donair pocket in today and Dave said "no that's just cheese" I pulled the hair out of the cheese and then Dave took the box that the donair pocket was in, told me he has no time for me and threw the food on the floor.... I got my dollars and left.... Dave had terrible customer service when it comes to complaints.... read more

The owners of this business ATTACKED me while I was there. I had gone into this restaurant just before they were set to open but, their door was unlocked so I was able to walk in and they had no food at all available. This was at 1:30 pm on a Monday afternoon. So, while I waited for them to get the food out of the fridge, I went to use the washroom whereupon, I used the paper towel dispenser. This paper-towel dispenser has a lever that needs to be pulled down to get the paper out of the dispenser so I pulled on it. Well, apparently the man who owns Tasty Pizza doesn't like the sound of that paper towel dispenser lever being pulled down more than one time because all of a sudden, while I was in the washroom with the door closed, he started to thump his fists into the wall of the bathroom from the other side. So, he was in the kitchen when he started to thump his fists into the wall. On the other side of the kitchen wall was the bathroom wall where I was. Well, of course his sudden thumping onto the wall startled me. So, I went out of the bathroom to talk to him...just TALKING and that's it. Well, he started YELLING at me. Then he pointed his finger at me to say that he didn't like what he heard in the bathroom. I was SO bewildered. So, then his wife comes up to me and she runs into the bathroom and she proceeds to tell me that I am "not allowed" to use the paper towels. So, she wasn't YELLING at me but, she was pulling a power trip by telling me what I am "not allowed to do". So then, I responded by telling her "it's a public washroom". She immediately insisted to me that "it's not a public washroom". I didn't bother to respond to that because I was too busy being bewildered by everything that both her and her husband were doing to me. Was she playing mind games? Why would she say that it's not a public washroom? I had to LEAVE the building without ordering anything at all to just THINK about what she had just said to me and then it occurred to me that she was doing what is called 'holding her ground' about it. She wanted to 'win the power struggle' that her husband had started with me so, she held her ground about anything that she could possibly hold her ground about. Including LYING HER BUTT OFF ABOUT IT. She was willing to LIE about anything at all and thereby play her mind games with me in order to 'win the fight'. What did they START this fight with me for anyways? I wasn't even fighting with them. They ATTACKED me with their need to insist with hell-bent fever, that they were right about everything and somehow I was wrong about everything...including a paper towel dispenser....These are crazy people. Don't go there alone. read more
