This place is... interesting. My two experiences with them are such polar opposites. The 1st time we ordered the lumberjack pizza it was amazing. We had read a few reviews online that mostly seemed positive. There was so much meat, and it was so delicious we couldn't wait to order it again. About a week later we ordered it again just because it was so good the first time. We ordered the same pizza but it was terrible. It felt like someone didn't have time to make it right so they rushed it. There was some terrible spice on the meat, and the sauce didn't taste good. My daughter just went in there and bought a slice of pizza . Went back in cause she found hair on it. The man was very rude and yelled at her. So I went to order supper tonight as a tired single special needs mom I was too tired to make supper tonight so I called the big wedge and they had a note on file that they can't deliver to my address because my poor little baby puppy, Jumped on the poor delivery driver and licked him what a shame it saddens me that people have to be this way instead of giving me time to put my poor baby in the house I wasn't even told that the driver was scared of dogs , perhaps he needs to untuck his man hood and become one . And she also said it was 25 min drive after driving here for 6 months , as she hangs up on me and tells me she's busy lol so here I am eating toast and don't think I'll be supporting the local community again . I am done with the abuse I seem to get from theses so called man or man child delivery drivers . My dog is a Labrador by the way and only 9 months old . I'll enjoy my toast in peace knowing I'll save some other human being from getting food from there I was treated so dam horribly for no reason all over my sweet puppy wanting to say hi . Big wedge is a perfect go to spot for fast what you'd expect from a little pizza joint, pizza! We generally stick to one kind but have tried a few--we love "the cheese wedge" --mozza and feta tomatoes red onion and olives which we always request to be green :) Pizza is decent! Crust is delicious! But the pizzas that are on the menu list can't be altered much--they don't allow many substitutions. Unless you purchase by items. Service is friendly, kind of rushed. I don't normally write a review on restaurants but felt my experiences were deserving. They have an excellent product for generic pizza. There is an obvious pride about their ingredients. Their menu needs needs to change and there has to be common sense.. This whole "normal" and "extra" items is ridiculous. I requested the pizza and garlic fingers deal.. pretty average for the maritimes. This "deal" specifically comes with 5 items. I asked for a Hawaiian Pizza which is traditionally Ham and Pinapple. However, Ham is an extra item and bacon is a normal item (probably costs more per pound too lol). I honestly just shook my head, hung up and vowed never to go there again. But I did! I learned how to use 4 ingredients to make my own pizza dough and wanted proper Toulany donair meat for my creation. They were the closest to my house so I went in and asked for a Medium Donair worth of meat (1/2 pound or so). After a long discussion on how to make it happen I paid 12 dollars for the meat in a shitty take away container. Common sense check, charge for a medium donair ($5.99), save the onions, tomatoes and pita. I understand that they are trying to earn a living but come on man.. read more

We had our daughters 4th birthday party at the Isleville St. Splash Pad yesterday from 12-2pm. With her party being right around lunch time, and it being a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles themed party, I knew we just had to have PIZZA!!! We're not from the immediate area so I had to do some shopping around... The majority of pizzerias in the area don't open till 4pm on Saturdays. So with not a whole lot of options for getting pizza at 1pm, it was really down to The Big Wedge and Dominos. They both quoted me within a dollar from each other, so that couldn't be the deciding factor..!! TBW didn't have many reviews, but the one it had was positive. If you've had Dominos franchise pizza once you've had it a million times...not bad, not great, just the same ol' same... We decided to support local business, hold our breath, and take a chance on The Big Wedge!!! It's on Duffus St., but right at the end of Isleville St., and walking distance from the rec Splash Pad! I think it was just meant to be!! It was hot, it was delicious, and IT WAS A HIT!!! ALL party goers were impressed with the pizza!! Little kids (aged 1yr-8yrs) that don't usually eat their pizza literally ate the whole regular sized slice! The parents went back for seconds, and some of the older kids did too! Four large pizzas (32 slices) more then fed 23 people (11 adults and 12 children). We owe one BIG (Wedge) Thank You to TBW - Lets face it food can make, or break a party..!! read more

Tonight I ordered from the big wedge I received it 45 mins and my medium pizza that cost me 17.50 was undercooked so I called the big wedge and told them and the response I received was oh I cooked it extra long and maybe it's undercooked because of the ham and pinapple they DID NOT offer to refund my money or replace my pizza with a cooked one ... I will never order from this establishment again due to the poor customer service I just received and the quality of the food . Very disappointed with this establishment and also the delivery person they have was extremely rude with me . Over all experience with the big wedge was horrible read more
