This place is a small family owed business despite carrying the pizza town name and they use high quality ingredients compared to competing places in the area (lots of real chunks of ham on the Hawaiian instead of thin slices for example)- The owner is incredibly kind and caring. We had an issue with ordering online due to the 3rd party company that handles payment, after they were less than helpful the owner called on our behalf, and made our pizza anyways and would not accept our payment for the hassle it caused us. I stopped by Pizza Town for a 'quick fix' on my way home from work yesterday and I was quite surprised at the cost! It's PIZZA!! I remember going to Pizza Town a few years ago and it costing me about $5.00 for a LARGE slice and a bottle of Pepsi! Let's just say that it cost me the best part of $10.00 and the size of the slice was rather small. On the more positive note, the restaurant was really clean. You could tell they recently did renovations to upgrade to a modern look. It wasn't your average 'pizza joint'. I felt like I was in New York! They had a lot to choose from on their menu. They had the classic 'pizza shop' type grub, but also had a nice selection of choices on the healthy side such as wraps and salads. I'm glad to see these fast food chains coming aboard and keeping up with the healthy choice competition out there. I'd go back for another slice....as long as someone else was paying! read more

Food is decent and Pizzatown boasts a rather large selection compared to some of the other places in the area. Online ordering system is great and easy to use. I'm not giving their food a 2 star rating but rather their customer service. We were unhappy with our last order and we were offered 25% off our next one. I just ordered and upon my orders arrival that the amount was not discounted. It looks like they simply made two items I ordered larger. For some that might suffice but the larger items didn't end up being consumed and were wasted. I would have preferred the discount which was promised. If you're in the mood for a tasty, doughy pizza then this is the place to go! I have been searching for a new go-to pizza place for a while now, and I think this is it! They have a great Offers section on their website and a lot of their deals are cheaper then other pizza places I have checked out! We ended up getting two medium pizzas, a medium garlic fingers and pop with delivery for less then $30! The deal we choose had two toppings per pizza which didn't seem like a lot, but when we got them we found out they are very generous with their toppings! I find that sometimes when you get pizza delivered you don't always get that "fresh out of the oven" taste by the time you get it but this wasn't the case with Pizza Town! It came hot, fresh and very tasty! My only complaint was that I couldn't find the option for delivery on their website, but when we called to ask it turns out they do deliver. read more

Just got my order from pizza town and crust was NOT cooked and the chicken wings tasted different-last time I order from them!!!!

What I really love about pizzatown is their customer service. And did you know they have a 2 medium deal for 20 bucks? You do now! We decided to try this much-recommended establishment after many months of putting it off in favor of the usual tried and true joint, which also happens to be closer to our building. However. bussing by on our way home one day, we were lured in on the promise of two whole pizzas for 20 bucks. Not just the two-topping ones either, ANY pizzas. Upon viewing the menu, I found out that there was not one, not two, but SIX vegetarian options for pizzas. I was impressed. The pizza making guy helped us navigate the menu, offering to make any pizza a half and half. He even threw in a couple free dipping sauces, and a free jr. donair wrap for the other half of our party to try (which I am told was quite good). And now down to it: the pizzas. They were very tasty. Not quite as delicious as the usual joint, but still very good. The price was also very reasonable. If the usual joint treated customers as nicely as pizzatown does, I probably wouldn't switch... but alas I am a sucker for niceness. Pizzatown is officially my new favorite. read more

I'm pretty pleased with this place. When I need delivery pizza, this is one of my first stops. They have a "buck an inch" deal which can be a good deal, and they have rotating specials. Check the Offers section on their website before ordering to see what the specials are right now. I've gotten a vegetarian pizza (sun-dried tomatoes, grilled zucchini, and feta cheese) a few times and I'm pretty pleased with it. My carnivorous roommate seems to like the meaty pizzas. Basil and oregano are free toppings, so take advantage! They have online ordering now, too, though I still always call. Oh, and their dessert pizza was great, but I don't see it on the menu anymore. Could it be... discontinued? Say it ain't so. :( Dessert pizza or no, I'll probably order from here again. I'm from Pictou County, so I take my pizza serious as sh*t. And since Bubbles' Mansion closed, there isn't anywhere in HRM where you can get a bonafide PC pizza. Despairing, I began sniffing out the pizza joints in Halifax and settled on Pizza Town as a reasonable substitute, though it tastes nothing like County pie. They've got great crust, their classic pizza combinations (meat, veggie, etc.) have a great variety of toppings and with shops all over Halifax they're easy to find. They're a bit pricey and sometimes slow but in this case I think you're getting what you pay for. This particular location (Lakeside, NS) is open late, nice and clean, with respectable-looking delivery personnel. Also, mad props for their stellar customer service, unlike some other places I've been to (I'm looking at you, Alexandra's!). If you're in the neighbourhood, give it a go! read more

Mmmm...how great would it be if there were actually a whole town devoted to pizza? Would all the buildings be made of pizza, with mozzarella canopies and crust archways, pepperoni roof shingles and black olive window frames? I think I would have to move there. But alas, as such things are not meant to be (although that's probably a good thing...), I will get to the point: Pizzatown. Good quality pizza, consistent, with a variety of menu options, including, as others have mentioned, gluten free crusts and lower calorie pizza pies. Staff at this location are always very friendly as well. The one (and only) thing on their menu that I haven't had a good experience with is their nachos, which the tend to burn (also, they seem a bit stingy with the toppings). However, you can't really go wrong with the pizza, so if you stick with that you should be a-ok. Ooo, tomato sauce rivers would work really well in a town made of pizza too! Best garlic fingers in the city hands down. My son loves garlic fingers, so because of this we have tried a lot of them. Here you will get the right synergy between cheese and garlic. The dough is not to chewy or crispy, it's just right. You can taste the stone oven difference! Their pizza is a perfect pair to their garlic fingers. Starting with the first store opened in 1990, they have expanded to seven stores in the Halifax area, including this one on Joe Howe Dr. For specialty pizzas, I'm pretty sure that no-one else in the city can match their creativity and fresh ingredients. We've never been unhappy with a Pizzatown pizza (how often can you say that for comparable pizza joints?!). We've tried so many of the specialty pizzas that it can be hard to remember exactly what we liked about each one. The chicken parmesan and the Tuscany are special favourites at this house. Pizzatown also offers both calorie-wise and gluten free pizzas, setting them apart from most pizza joints in the city. I ordered three large pizzas from here today for a work function and am very impressed. We ordered from the Robie St location (which is closer to our office) once before and everyone raved about the pizza. I planned to order from there again, but ran into a bit of a speed bump. No one answered the phone. Ever. So I checked the website to see if any other locations were close by, and voila - Joe Howe! I knew the tides were turning when the phone was answered after only one ring. I asked what time they opened and if all the other locations have the same hours. They'd been open since 10am, and yes all locations open at that time. I mentioned my frustration with calling the other location, but that I was happy to have another option close by to order from. The gentleman I spoke with apologized on behalf of the other location and explained that the two locations in question are run by different people. I placed my order without a hitch. I headed over later to pick up the pies, and A) it came to way less than I expected due to specials I wasn't even aware of - always nice!, B) the owner again apologized about my experience with the Robie location, gave me a card with his store's direct phone number and basically asked for our future business. And you know what? He's got it. As for the pizza? Their signature sauce is so flavourful - I love it. The ingredients are fresh and tasty, and the crust is just right. It's the only pizza no one complains about when we order for work functions. The Greek pizza (vegetarian) is amazing. I ordered a pep, ground beef and mushroom pizza, and it was gone in like 2 seconds - so so good. I didn't try the PT Classic, but I heard good things. Went to get a Greek salad with chicken. Tasted great but it was a little on the small side but no big deal there because the box was nice and heavy so I knew it was compacted in it. The only reason why I gave it three stars is because I was expecting grilled chicken in it not cut up crispy chicken strip. Trying to watch my carbs in take it kinda threw me for a loop. Honestly the worst experience I've ever had ordering a pizza. Pizza's normally great, atleast at other pizzatown locations. Food was late, overcooked and they forgot the one topping, bacon on the garlic fingers. Called for a replacement after some arguing with the cook they agreed to come pick up the pizza and garlic fingers and replace them. 2 hours go by, nothing. Call back get the same guy on the phone. Sorry we were busy and told that best we can do is give you 15 percent off next order and replacement garlic fingers.. Not only is this not what they agreed to do, they didn't even bother to call us to let us know this.To top it off the guy was super condescending and kept repeating its ok buddy you will get your "free food". This is by far the worst experience i've had with pizza delivery in my life. I called to order a pizza and the man said the pizza will be here shortly. The service was poor with a bad attitude on the phone call. When the pizza arrived, the delivery man explained and told me that he was "NOT the delivery man". This man did NOT have any change on him when i asked him to give me a $5 bill. He ran over to his car to grab his wallet which had NO money in it. The man asked my friends if they had their own change/tip to give him. i told him all i had was a $20 bill and he stood there and froze. i finally decided to give him the $20 bill with a huge tip and all the man decided to say was "okay, goodbye". i am a teenager who made the bigger decision to the man who is not in quotes "the delivery man". i am mad and frustrated because while my friends and i were eating our pizza, we found nasty hairs in our pizza. my friends and i are not impressed and will not be ordering from Pzza Co with no I any longer. okay, goodbye. read more
