Though I'm with Alfie on Gordon's Kitchen, I have got to disagree when it comes to Tasty. When me and the boyf moved in to our new flat, we found that alongside a thoughtful bottle of cava, our landlord had left us a feww takeaway menus. Which was nice because after my first proper move-house, I didn't fancy cooking for a few days. The first one we sampled was Tasty because, well, they're called Tasty and we're suggestible. Gotta say, we weren't impressed.
There's nothing *wrong* with Tasty, other than that the food was distinctly average. The meat all seemed cheap and my salt and pepper seasoning was far too spicy, even for me. It was as if they were using spice to mask the bad quality of the meat, which always pisses me off. Starters were similarly disappointing; the hot and sour soup here is the only one I've ever had that was bad. The spring rolls were cold by the time they arrived.
I'm sure that for people who are less fussy, this place is fine. I just happen to think that when there are so many takeout options out there, you really can't afford to waste your time and money ordering from a place like Tasty. Rather, give Gordon a call. read more
