It's a little bit of a confusing layout because this place contains four bars under one roof, when you first go in your in what they call the 'Ski Lodge' which is the upstairs bar, when you go downstairs you have 'Shooters', 'Around the World in 80 Beers' and Bierkeller. Bierkeller is a massive room with long, wooden tables representing the German beer house, they sell steins which are really reasonably priced. I would tell you about the deals but I am really confused by them! There are posters all over telling you what deals are on but there are so many it just confuses you (well it confuses me anyway!)! We ordered food using my friends taste card which meant we paid £15 for four meals! Bargain, the food is pretty average but I got a Bratwurst which was really good. Don't have high expectations for the food but it you want some filling grub really cheap it is a good place to go. 'Shooters' has a cool bar area where you can play FIFA on giant screens, just make a deposit at the bar and they will give you the controllers. There are also pool tables and it is a great place to watch the football. 'Around the World in 80 Beers' do what they call suitcases of beers, you can either get a full suitcase (£70) or a half suitcase (£35) which hold a selection of beers from around the world, it is a really great way to try new beers. This place is cheap and cheerful and the staff are really friendly, if you want a nice night out sampling the independents then this certainly isn't the place to go, but for a chilled night with your mates, playing FIFA and drinking cheap booze this is place will be a good starting point.

Slightly hidden away, to the left hand side of where Lime bar is situated, we popped in for a drink post-dinner and pre-comedy. It has a very relaxed atmosphere - all light wood, pastel coloured chairs and simplistic menus. Food offerings include sharing/artisan boards, 'bar tapas,' and some very interesting sandwiches. If we'd known about this place, we definitely would have eaten here! Pricing is fair, with most of the sandwiches only being at the £4.50 mark, and served up from a small deli counter at the bar. On the drinks side of things, you can choose from a variety of tea and coffee, but there's also a nice selection of alcohol. Being named Craftbrew, you'd obviously expect plenty of interesting beer available; Hawkshead pale ale, Sam Adams, Hawkshead gold, Punk IPA et al to name but a few. Don't be fooled by the small listing on the back of the menu; because they change their selections quite often, they only list their 'favourites'. My workmates and I all opted for their Club Sandwich (chicken breast, crispy bacon, ham, cheddar, pesto mayo, tomato and lettuce on toasted bread). In need of something sweet, I chose a Frozen Hot Chocolate (£3) which was a bizarre choice I know for a wintry day but it was very fine indeed. I took it back to my office to eat and it was well packaged and still piping hot. I'll go here a lot whilst working in the city!

The store is clean, tidy and looks fairly nice, there is bar-style seating in the window, which I like as you can watch the world around you in a busy corner of Manchester. As mentioned, the staff always seem super friendly and happy to help, they seem genuinely happy to be there, which is a huge positive. Its a 2 floor restaurant with seating both upstairs and down, huge glass store front so you can sit inside and watch the people going to and from the station and just relax. I got there just after 8am and there wasn't as many people in as there would have been for the original store in the centre of the city, which is good because it meant I could easily get a seat and served. The decor was awesome and some of my pictures show it, however I didn't go upstairs and always feel dodgy when taking pictures of the arrangement as I was across from the serving area. It looked nice done up all festive too and we quickly got seen to. Luckily it has the same menu as the other establishments and the lovely server told us that everything was available which is awesome. Being a creature of habit, I went for my old faithful, the grande bouche which is the brioche french toast with bacon, and a vanilla latte. I figured, in order to review them both, I need to try the same dish and see which one I preferred. Unfortunately I could differentiate my favourite as they are both EPIC. This is their latest branch and second in Manchester city centre, on Piccadilly Approach - it is a fairly small store but serves a convenient location if one is getting a train from Piccadilly Station. If you've ordered with Moose in Manchester on Deliveroo - chances are the order has come from this branch. The store inside is pretty small compared to their other branch but it still does have some nice comfortable seating and tables (there were children standing on the cushioned seats which goes down the store however which I didn't like - but the staff can't control customers children!) When I entered, I waited to be sat down and was served by a man - he seemed to struggle understanding English and even admitted that - I asked him for an allergen guide (it says on the menu you can request one and they do have it online too but I wanted to get one in-store to test the staff knowledge to see if I actually felt confident eating here), however, he looked at me puzzled and originally thought I was unable to read the menu - so despite asking to sit down twice and asking him questions, he appeared to block me from sitting down. I eventually had to ask another member of staff who seemed a lot more confident than the other staff member here - who seemed confused that gluten-free options weren't labelled on the menu when vegan was. This was a slow and frustrating process. I ended up going for the Mighty Moose after finding out it could be made with gluten-free bread, the lady server also offered to make me an iced tea but she did say she wasn't aware of how it would turn out as it is basically making a hot tea over ice and they don't normally do it. I decided to go for an Iced Earl Grey with Vanilla syrup, this was quite reasonably priced at £2 with an extra £0.30 for syrup, however, the drink was just drinkable and it really was tea over ice - the drink didn't even taste of vanilla, it was just bitter water if anything. My food quality overall was okay but I did seem to have a problem with every aspect of my dish - considering it was with a potato hash, I expected the bacon to be those nice, thin crispy rashers of bacon however the bacon wasn't like that - it had no crispiness to it, it seemed slightly undercooked and was rather chewy. My fried eggs did look the part but I found them to be slightly too runny for my liking. The potato hash in most cases did taste quite good with nice potatoes however a good part of it was overseasoned and far too peppery - meaning I had to leave part of it which was a shame. I was quite surprised however with the gluten-free toast as it was basically on the brink of being burnt - considering how hard it is to toast gluten-free bread as it tastes longer I was shocked how they got it like this (it also is a shame they don't have gluten free bread clearly listed on the menu so customers can be easily aware of it) - the bread, however, was cold, it felt like they'd invented a zapper which toasts bread rather than getting it hot. The overall feel of the place wasn't great - and I certainly would want to avoid the outdoor seating area, with it being on such a busy street leading up to the station you have loads of people running past with cigarettes, suitcases and the Free Bus parking just outside - meaning if you want a more typical American diner experience you might be best heading to their other branch in the city on York Street. Everything came to £10.10 which for a city centre location and fresh food - wasn't too bad. Would I come here again? Probably not - only as a last resort is getting a train, facing issues from minor to much bigger on my food and the male server seeming inexperienced and untrained (he did seem friendly however he just really struggled). 2* for this being one of the better places to get food before heading on a train from Piccadilly station, especially considering terrible experiences at Carluccio's inside the station and Bella Itallia, a five minute or so walk away in Piccadilly Gardens in the past.
