The ordering system here is a little chaotic from an American standpoint. You place an order at the register, but at first it seemed hard to tell where that line began. Once we got that all sorted out, we grabbed a table and waited for our food. I got strumpets and my husband had the English Breakfast. I loved my meal and had a few nibbles off my husband's plate and everything was legit good! The sausage is made in house and the food was excellent quality. In fact I'm thinking that the ham hock possibly works better than streak bacon which I hate myself for saying, but it's less salty and gives it a more rustic homey feel. Which I really enjoyed. I love my coffee and I can say their flat white was spot on for me. The staff seem great here as well, very welcoming and friendly, offering to give suggestions or anwser any questions about the food. There aren't a huge number of places even in the city centre where I can guarantee a good breakfast and a great coffee in the same spot. I'm glad to have found another to add to my list.
