The cabins were recently renovated and super cute! No restaurant or other amenities on site, which was totally fine, as the kitchen is super well stocked, and there is a BBQ on the deck. Very peaceful and quiet, people were friendly, nice walking nearby, field to play games in. We also enjoyed the scenic drive in and out, passing by so many cows and their young calves. We plan to return.

The customer service is on the lax side and not as attentive as your typical resort but it's a cute little getaway just a few hours out of Vancouver. The prices are decent, restaurant isn't anything to write home about but it's ok. I prefer cooking my own food anyways. It had a concrete pool to tan at if you do t want to swim in the lake. They have little boats with outbound motors for rent at $70 day including gas. No complaints. It's under new management so I think they may just be trying to work out the quirks so I'll give it another try. Be prepared to bring bug spray because the mosquitoes are really bad. The manager did say that this year was really bad for them. The place I was in was clean and decorated beautiful and rustic. It had a true cabin feel

Not new and not run down, everything is clean and more or less updated. The views from the rooms are what make it. Dinner was quality. Servers were friendly and helpful and the kitchen's output was good. Breakfast was missable and not complimentary. There is some sort of a gift shop. If it was an inexpensive motel, I'd love it. **The pool really screams "roadside motel" BTW.** At this price, what you get is nice, but I'm not overjoyed. The real estate dictates the price, I reckon.

I enjoyed the Gil's bowl area the most. Even in a year when we have the least amount of snow, the weather kept it well. It's much better than the coastal area resorts. The lines are also shorter. This is a great family resort, may not be for the elite thrill seeking crowd but has enough for everyone to do.

Treat yourself to one of the famous cinnamon buns. I just wished, we had more Sun during our visit. Watch out for the grumpy grouses.

Restaurant: We came here for dinner and while I forget exactly what the dish was called it was a spaghetti in a nice light sauce with chicken and garlic bread, along with some soup. We also came in the morning (they include a coupon for a "free continental breakfast" or 10% off any food). The free continental breakfast isn't really a whole breakfast... you can pick two items. Our coffee was fine, my muffin was pretty good, and my friends toast was apparently fine. But calling that a breakfast is pushing it... Regardless, the service was good and the pricing was reasonable. Also a 4/5.

If you don't want to walk, you can drive and park by the front office lot. Showerhouse: super clean, warm, spacious, flush toilets, hot showers, tap to fill up on water as the rustic cabins don't have running water. Rustic cabins: Full size fridge, oven, gas stove, electricity, wood stove (for heat). 7A doesn't have extra outlets so we had to unplug the oven to charge cell phones etc. Fully stocked with plates/bowls/cutlery/pots/pans/paper towels/dish soap. Bring your own bedding and food. Fishing is a love/hate relationship - its a bit of a tricky lake to get a hang of but the regulars love it and come back every year. Might want to have at least AWD coming in as its quite hilly and snowy but we did peep a civic parked at the front office lot. Richard/Debbie and the crew are very friendly and helpful.

Don't rush the drive up or down, enjoy the scenery and tranquility. Be careful as there are wildlife on the drive up/down from Sun Peaks. We saw deer a couple of times on the side of the road and a juvenile black bear (we almost hit one) darted out of the bushes on to the road at one point.
