Lac Le Jeune was hit hard a few years ago by the Mountain pine Beetle which forced them to remove some of the tree's in the area leaving some camp spots without shade which is tough in the day time when the sun is super hot. But it's also something that can't be helped. The campground has RV dump and fill so you can fill up and then dump your waste for $5. My family tented for the week which was nice. Each campsite has a fire ring and a picnic table. Our spot was quite dusty but again it's nature and that can't always be helped. The campground has "out house" style washrooms however they are flush toilets. There are "Double" sites available for larger families or friends who enjoy camping as a group. The campground is right on the lake so if you're lucky and can book early enough you can get a campsite by the lake. The lake itself is great. It's a grass style beach with a "sandy" slope. But it's not really big enough to build sandcastles. The lake isn't full of rocks like most lakes can be which was nice. There is also a changing area with washroom or changing booths you can use to change. There are an abundance of picnic tables near the beach, making it very easy to picnic. The camp ground is located close to Kamloops and Logan Lake so you don't have to drive far if you need supplies or want to return to civilization for a few hours. The negatives? On some advertisements they claim to have wifi, which isn't true. The women washroom near our campsite was clogged and uncleaned for 2 days despite Park crew being made aware of the situation. Some advertisements also say they have showers. I was there for a week and did not find the showers. Would I go back? Yes however I would book earlier than I did this time.

The fishing can be really good. The location is pretty special. Its a very popular spot. ( I am not a fisherman ) . But, I do think they do a good job, of looking after the resort and also, providing a great experience. It can be VERY windy and cold, so bundle up ! Happy fishing . The road in is gravel. Very little cell service available, and no internet when I was there. No TV either. Wood stoves . Beds ???? not so soft.

The look out point has a bench where you can sit and take in the spectacular view of the lake. So beautiful. Unfortunately the dry weather and previous fires have left its mark. You can still see burnt trees. On the trail there are Saskatoon berries too. Spider webs and other wildlife. We were lucky not to encounter any rattlesnake along the way. My friend has seen the snakes here before. It's also a good thing there is a signboard at the parking lot cautioning people about rattlesnake season.

From the moment we arrived we where welcomed with open arms....Molly one of the ranch dogs was the first to greet us as we drove down the driveway. I have to honestly say Martin and Bernie and the girls blew us away and exceeded our expectations!!! We wanted a vacation to remember and to do some riding and wow...ride we did. We rode aprox. 6 hours a day on some of the most breathtaking trails in the area. We are both riders and have both done trail rides but nothing like this. This just took our breath away. The views from the mountain tops and the beautiful lakes made for the most amazing experience and some great photos. The horses are so well cared for. Bernie take pride in her herd and you can see it just by spending some time her and with the horses. She loves to share her knowledge of horses with you and I have to say I not only had a great vacation I also learned a lot. As for relaxation I can't think of a better place to unwind and relax after a day in the saddle. Martin made the freshest most amazing homemade meals. Coming back from a morning ride to homemade chicken soup with salad to homemade burgers, guacamole and the best blueberry pancakes ever with fresh squeezed orange juice!!! We were so spoiled!!! The atmosphere was very laid back and the owners and volunteers actually sat down at the table and enjoyed meals with us. Honestly by the end of our 6 night stay it was hard to leave as you really start to feel like family as you spend so much time with them. We made some great friendships with other guests and with the volunteers and we are already talking about our next trip back to visit.
