I call on the phone and they already know who I am and what I like to order, salmon rice bowl with no sauce. The service is top-notch. I think we tried everything but the spicy chicken and beef brisket were the favs of the group. Lots of sides and rice. Nobody left hungry that's for sure lol!! Service was great as well. When the server brought us to our table, she seated us at the front near the entrance by the snack corner. We asked if we could move to a table in the back, but she told us those tables were for non-bbq guests. We were okay with that and stayed. However, shortly after, we saw other parties being seated in the back and eating KBBQ. That felt inconsistent and honestly disappointing. We ordered the yookhwe (beef tartare) bibimbap ($20.95), the Korean beef BBQ combo for two ($119.99), prime rib ($44.95), and makgeolli. Honestly, the portions were lot smaller than I expected for the price. Brisket only came with 6 thick pieces and galbi came with 9 to 12 pieces depending on how you cut them. The last straw was just seeing 10 small pieces of prime rib. As for the taste, it was decent but not the best. The banchan, doenjang jjigae, and steamed egg were good, but the beef was tough and hard to chew. The sauce on the marinated galbi actually hardened like candy after grilling and stuck to my teeth and the plate. We cooked most of our meat ourselves, which we didn't mind, but it seemed like our server was busy with other tables. Overall, I was disappointed and probably won't be back. If you've never had KBBQ, it might still be worth (?) a try considering for the authentic experience, but I don't think the service, portions or quality make it worth the price.

When we entered, I saw the cool artwork and the music playing was modern. They were playing good times reruns on the TV. I was surprised to see that. The worker was very nice and helpful. He welcomed us with a smile and thanked us for the support. We ordered the steak philly and fries and also a catfish dinner. I also picked a cake slice for dessert. The presentation was on point! Unfortunately the fries were just ok. They looked seasoned but wasn't. The Philly had too much mayo. The catfish was great. Can't beat that crunch on the fish. Fries were not quite as crispy. But ok. I like the chips/fries they are thick and good with malt vinegar. Lots of people taking out after work. It's a popular stop. Much better than last time I was here. Doesn't smell like a fried fish when you leave. Much cleaner too. Good fish. Chicken as I recall is good too. Light batter and crunch.
