I should start by saying that I have a high level of appreciation for this place not being a chain coffeehouse that is conveniently located. With that said, there is a very hometown feel when you walk into this place. The staff are very kind and seemingly gentle spirited. The ordering process is intimate and quick and then there are expansive seating options just around the corner. The drip coffee was amazing! Robust but not bitter. The breakfast burrito was also delicious, the sausage makes it crave-able. The cinnamon roll was decent, not my favorite cinnamon roll due to perhaps a citrus flavor experience I could have lived without. It may have been better had I asked for it to be warmed. (But I'm not a fan of having to warm a cinnamon roll in order for it to be good) read more

Always good service. Lattes is consistently good without being too sweet. The asiago bagels are the best, but the pastries are all yummy and freshly baked. Prices are reasonable, as I could have a latte and a good sized bagel with cream cheese for $10. Great place for studying, work, or just hanging out. Go here! Support local! read more

This is an interesting place. Clearly they have the location right! The place was packed at 11:00 with students and professionals alike. Everyone needed a cuppa and some internet. I didn't know what kind of coffee or adventure to expect when we walked in; the place is far bigger than we anticipated. The menu is very straightforward with some seasonal options and specials. The baristas are quick and will bring your coffee to you. They also sell beans to go. Great experience overall, very good coffee and seemed like a fun place to sit down and relax. read more

Tasty homemade raspberry scone! I got the maple bourbon latte warm. It's good. The big perk is how fast service was, the vibes the whole staff and building were serving. And there were so many options for seating to study. There were people meeting to chat as well. Coffee is average. Asked for a pup cup and they proceeded to give me a small cup of whip cream and then asks me to pay a whole two dollars. For whip cream?? I've never heard of such an expensive pup cup. Ridiculous prices and obviously compensating for the business they are not making. read more

Coming from California I'm used to seeing good coffee shops have hundreds of reviews so I'm really surprised Taste only had 15 reviews. I have had to travel out to Michigan for work 3 times now this year and this coffee shop is across the street from the job site. Each time the coffee and pretzels are so good and it makes being out here a bit more worth it. They are friendly people and offer good service. A lot of seating inside behind the ordering location so it's not super packed in. read more

Unique ambiance with lots of space and seating available, much more than I'd expect in a counter service coffee bar. I tried the breakfast burrito and almond pastry and it was a perfect sweet/savory pairing for breakfast. I also tried their Walnut Rum seasonal latte and the Comfort and Joy seasonal coffee that had orange, cinnamon, and cranberry notes. They also have merch and candles themed after some of their menu. I don't want to give this a bad review. But the worst cup of coffee ever. The oat milk must not be barista. Yuck! The service is as wonderful. The place has a soft elegance. Pretty. Taste is the best coffee shop around the entire Lansing area. It's located in such a peaceful and zen-like area, really the best kinda place to have a great cup of good quality coffee. I've enjoyed everything from a brewed coffee to the specialty fancy drinks, as well as the homemade bagels and breakfast burritos. Everything is fresh and tasty, but the best thing about Taste is the excellent service. They bring your food and beverages to your table, which is far better than being called out to come get it yourself. Taste is the best. From the moment they opened they have always been striving to be hospitable and welcoming to everyone who comes through. They take the time to learn and know the people who come in regularly and that makes a very homey personable coffee shop. They are still a growing new business and they are very open to advise and wisdom that outsiders have which has helped them serve and grow closer to their client base. They also make great coffee and baked goods. Carmel latte and bagel are my personal favorite and if i'm in a sweet cold mood then iced peach tea is very refreshing. :) Keep it up taste team! read more
