Second time back for a team building event, this time for the Pizza Class. We made 3 pizzas, although pizza is a generous term in my opinion. There was barely any cheese, so they really were flatbreads. Aside from that though, the class was fun and easy to follow. The pizzas itself tasted fine--- as I said, the cheese was definitely missed. I'd recommend the Handmade Pasta Class over this one for a more unique experience.

So much fun! We went for a Adult BYOB class and it was everything. We paid around $130 for two people. With that you got class instruction, preparing your own food, and then get to enjoy your creation! They do have you with another couple, which means you have to work closely with strangers. If you are shy I would recommend buying out the entire table. I would love to try some other of their classes!

I had so much fun! I attended the BYOB Mexican fiesta cooking class. I love learning new things! I learned a new way of cutting an avocado to make it super easy to take the pit out and also, how to make tortillas. Everything was delicious. I would go back! This is fun for friends or date night!

Went to a Cooking with Beer class for a friends birthday. I had never done anything like this before. It was so fun! There are different themed nights, so look at their calendar and choose something you want! The food was all good so you really cannot go wrong. So, we made a 4 course meal and learned how to use the different ingredients, I was taught how to use a knife, crack an egg, segment an orange. It was all so fun!!! And the best part is, everything (tools) they use is affordable. (because of course I wanted all of the tools) If you've ever thought about a cooking class, do it!

My girlfriend reached out about a double date night at Taste Buds before the holidays. After reviewing their class list we settled on their Taste of Italy class. The menu included chicken Parmesan, wild mushroom risotto (what we were mostly interested in) and cannolis. She mentioned that she saw them offer a discount around the holidays and sure enough, right before Thanksgiving they posted a 3 for the price of 4 offer. We jumped on it! The class was BYOB so we brought a few bottles of wine that we sipped on the entire class. They were quick to get us oriented as we arrived and we settled in too wait on instruction. We started by making our cannoli filling. They take you to a demonstration area where they talk through what you will do. You then return to your station (about 4 people per station) and do what they just instructed. Everything is measured out ahead of time and you just put it all together. They also taught a few tips and tricks along the way like how to cut onions without crying, how to quickly peel garlic, and tricks to eyeball measurements while using your microplane. We then made our chicken Parmesan as well as the risotto while we visited at our table. After everything was done we ate our meal which was very good! We truly enjoyed ourselves along with learning some new dishes and skills. I would recommend the adult BYOB classes for a date night. SO much fun!

A friend and I attended a class to make eggplant parmesan, risotto, and cannolis. I love eggplant and these were so easy to make. The mushroom risotto was really good too! I had never made any of these items so it was nice to be walked through the steps. I am not really a dessert person but the cannolis were so good! Wonton wrappers made the perfect size and I liked the crispness. We piped in a mixture of ricotta, cream cheese, chocolate chips, and orange jest that really put them over the top. We had such a great time preparing everything and getting to know the other people! The food was delicious and we were given recipes to easily recreate everything at home.

Fun family event! Fantastic staff guides you and your little ones through a fun cooking/baking experience. Super family friendly!

I didn't realize we would be cooking with strangers that hogged the actual cooking. There wasn't any real learning either. Save your money.

I saw a woman pour a little bit of vinegar into a little paper cup and sip it straight, so in true monkey-see-monkey-do fashion I did the same. My first taste was the White Peach Balsamic. Forget everything you know about balsamic vinegar, stuff this good is on a different plane of existence altogether. Wow! So syrupy and brightly flavored I now understood the glaring lack of bread cubes. Who needs them? The White Peach was like jam. I was instantly thinking of pouring it over ice cream, or ... ? It turned my world upside down. My budget permitted a purchase of just one bottle this trip, but you can rest assured I will be coming back to add to my collection. If you're curious, I chose the Lime Jalepeno Balsamic as my first bottle. All I add is a little oil, salt & pepper and I have a salad dressing that knocks my socks off!

When Donna Kelce listed it as amongst her favorite spots in KC I just knew it was going to be a slam dunk and yet it STILL took me this long to make my way over. All that being said, I have a standing lunch date with a friend on my calendar and after looking at her text that simply said "Hemma Hemma?" I was so excited to give it a try. I was just coming from a meeting near the Plaza so it was a quick jaunt for me, and I was honestly surprised to find that Hemma Hemma is located in Waldo, right on Wornall. Turns out I've driven past it countless times and never even realized it. For a weekday lunch at noon I was a bit worried about parking but I was able to get a really close spot right on Wornall so don't let that deter you one bit. When you walk in it's honestly kind of perfect brunch/lunch vibes. It's sort of like a marriage of a cozy cafe and a chic home kitchen. You feel welcome and relaxed. It's an order at the counter kind of place and I had their pickle fried chicken salad (forgive me for not remembering the official name!). It was divine. I will say it was very crowded when I was in there but there were plenty of seats, mostly because they've used the space well and there is ample room for single diners to sit at a large communal table in the back, which really frees up tables for folks that are there to chat with someone. Aside from all of that the food is great, the folks working are so nice, and I can't wait to return.
