Their signature vegetarian dish is a hearty lentil stew delivered over mashed potatoes. I got my greens in by adding pickled collard greens and a seasonal ramp chutney. I was greeted with a resplendent mix of warm and savory flavors that was hard to stop eating. Their chai was a bit sweet and had an interesting spice blend. Availability is very limited, with both a small menu and some options running out towards the end of the day, bearing in mind that they close early. As a full restaurant, it wouldn't measure up. Maybe they'll get there some day. As it is, I would suggest coming early. There are some good restaurants in Abingdon, but you won't find food like this anywhere else.

We ordered more food than we could eat because living out-of-state, we knew it would be our last chance for a long while. Everything we ordered (another Daal Me Up, Saag with Grits, and Curry Me Down South) was AMAZING! The idea to marry Indian and Southern cuisines is genius and works so well. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Not only is this place top-notch for the area, it is excellent for any area!
