Located in the Westfield Sydney Shopping Centre, Taste Baguette serves up hot and cold sandwiches along with cafe classics at moderate prices. It is inspired by Vietnamese French cuisine, and the one sandwich we tried was OK.
Taste Baguette was founded in 2006, and now has 17 locations across Australia. Its specialty are sandwiches made with the very light french baguette that anybody who has eaten a bahn-mi can appreciate. We had some time to kill and wanted a place to sit and wait, so decided to order a Portuguese chicken sandwich (AU$14.5) on the lunch menu to share. I think the description probably outdid the actual sandwich. It was a piece of really moist chicken breast with a hint of peri-peri sauce, with a bit of lettuce, and not enough house made chili sauce, all on a very fresh baguette. Free self-serve still water is provided for easy access. read more
