Incredibly unreliable, my last scheduled lawn service in early May has been rescheduled 5 times and then I get a note telling me they're finding a new contractor. Well I did that myself, they came the same day, did a quality job and charged 30% less. Similar to other reviews, I've been trying to get TaskEasy to cut my yard for two weeks. I've had three cancellations, with the most recent being at 10:00PM the night before the lawn was to be cut. I ordered mowing service on Sept 26. On October 15 TaskEasy sent me a 'dear john' letter stating that they cannot locate a contractor to perform service. This came after several re-schedules and a support ticket. I find it difficult to believe that Task Easy cannot locate a contractor in the Cincinnati metro that can mow my small residential property. My only speculation is that their poor handling of customer communication must also be reflected in their handling of their contractors. In which case, no contractors must be utilizing Task Easy at this point. Its such a shame as this company used to be outstanding. At this point it seems soliciting random contractors via Google may yield better service. read more

I had placed an order with task easy for lawn care services. I was hoping that I don't have to worry about contractor delays and follow up. My very first order was delayed and no one informed me. I had to call and find out that they had me rescheduled. If you are looking for a worry free lawn maintenance service in Georgia then I would not recommend them. Last year this company did great and my service in Kansas City, Missouri was done promptly every week. Something is happening with them this year, though. Service has been moved to different contractors, they have moved dates around and then it just abruptly stopped and the last two services I scheduled just didn't show up. Sigh...I wish I had read the reviews here instead of just the ones on their website. As others have stated, I thought I had found something great here. I requested service eight days ago, and have had nothing but frustration ever since. After waiting five days to hear from Task Easy (because their website says jobs will be completed in 3-4 days), I sent them an email to cancel my request (at this point, I figured they were going to try to charge me more for having overgrown grass, which they kind of caused by taking so long). Two hours later, I got an email asking for patience--that they were experiencing delays due to the busy spring season. This morning I attempted to call them, but they were experiencing a "heavier than normal" call volume (go figure!). My only options were to get a call-back or leave a voicemail. I opted for a call-back, but I missed it (almost 30 minutes later). I tried again--same result--missed that one too (over 40 minutes later!). I then sent an email, but have not received a response to that, either. I can't remember the last time I have been this frustrated!!! First scheduled date May 10, they showed up May 9th and did a decent job. 2nd task scheduled for May 24th, no show. Rescheduled for May 27th. I have been on the phone with them since. Rescheduled again, changed contractors 3 times because none showed. I've never talked to a company so much ever trying to get my lawn mowed. All I received was apologies and excuses! The last lady asked was my lawn overgrown! Of course your company was suppose to have someone mow my lawn over a week ago! Except I've had no.payments since the 14th. Showed my task easy account and my bank account shows no payments after the 14th. Total scam. Save yourself the hassle and money. Be very careful about this service. I, like many others, have felt the "pain" of this service's mediocre service. Basically, the service did NOT happen. Per their website, an email is sent stating the scheduled date of the lawn service which is fine. But, their website also showed a different second date (confusing, yes)? And then another email stating the second date is when this would happen....No JOY for the first or second day! So whether it is the contractor(s) or this website service error, there is no excuse! If you say you will provide the service then follow thru with it. Fortunately I was not charged for this which saves the aggravation of disputing charges. read more

This company is just a big scam. I signed up for the service recently and it was terrible. I had a service scheduled for Wednesday than I get a message that it was rescheduled because the contractor didn't service that area. Then I call and they say they are rescheduling with someone else for the next day. I wait and no one shows. When I call they say the same contractor that they had cancelled would be coming. No one ever showed. I call later in the day and they say "he's 2 miles from you he'll definitely be there today. Never showed. Then I look up the contractor online - he's from South Carolina - I live in the Northeast . DO NOT sign up with them, all that will happen is your time will get wasted and the lawn service will not happen. read more

DON'T DO IT! This company is terrible at everything that's supposed to differentiate them. I scheduled WEEKLY lawn service. My first mowing happened on time, but then things went downhill. They were supposed to be here on Friday for the second week. Late in the day they hadn't showed, so I tried calling customer service - got in a hold queue that said they'd call back and hung up. They never did. Noticed on the app that they had rescheduled for Monday - no explanation, and the rest of the schedule remained as-is. So they planned to skip a week, then mow twice the following week, 4 days apart. Finally got through to their customer service and explained I could understand a day delay, but 3 days on a 7-day schedule wasn't acceptable. I was abut to cancel, and they said the contractor had let them down, too, and we agreed that they could find a different contractor if they could do the job this weekend. And I stipulated I didn't want the original contractor for this or any future service. Heard nothing on Saturday. Sunday morning I noticed it was rescheduled for Monday again. I called customer service and they said it was scheduled for Monday with the original contractor. When I told them that was unacceptable, the customer service rep wanted to argue with me and shout over me that the contractor WOULD be there MONDAY as scheduled. When I replied that I just wanted to cancel my account, he said I was a difficult customer and hung up on me. I had to call back again and cancel. They rescheduled with me (3) times, then when I called in to see what the hold up was , they told me they had rescheduled for a fourth time almost 2 more weeks away. I used Task Easy last summer for lawn mowing services. Everything was fine, not great but they did an ok job of it. When it came to to restart the service this spring, I never heard from them so I ordered a new service. It was picked up by a contractor that was supposed to show up on Friday. Not only did they not show up but they sent an email saying that they did and tried to charge me. I emailed TaskEasy and got no response so today I sat on hold for 20 minutes and was then told that they would refund the deposit but they had to look into the $10 trip charge the contractor decided to charge me as well even though they had sent Task Easy an email that said they cancelled the service. I asked the employee how they could posibly charge me for something that they admit never happened and I was told that they have to look into it. Instead of refunding it and apologizing for terrible customer service she actually told me that she knows they didn't show up or perform a service but they would try to refund it. I realize it was just $10 but there was nothing apparently, to stop them from charging me more for no reason at all. I will not reccommend or use this service again. read more

Taskeasy knows nothing about landscaping. Just a telemarketing staff trying to get a cut in within the landscape feild. There staff is not knowledgeable with what landscapers deal with on what they call "Over growth". They simply think by looking at a before picture they can determine how much work needs to be done. A before image will not show how much debris a Mesquite or pine tree will leave. Task easy staff believes debris is "Out of scope". Ask one of there staff agents (especially the team that takes care of the west area of the nation including Arizona) they have no experience with landscape what so ever. That is why there service is so lousy. Task easy is just a telemarketing staff trying to cut in with the landscape business. They don't have landscape employees. They pay independent contractors. The reason why some contractors fail to do some property's is because task easy takes it upon them self's to bid property's with out physically going to the site to bid it correctly. Contractors have to rebid the property's and wait for approval is why they put off the date they are supposed to do the landscape service. Bottom line it's better just to cut out the middle man and get in touch with the landscaper who acctully does the work. read more

If I could give them a zero, I would. It started out great. The same contractor serviced my property timely and on a regular basis. Then at the end of 2018 I started having issues with service delays and rescheduling with different contractors each time. I would have to contact task easy each time to get someone as multiple weeks would pass. This continued through 2019 mowing season, except worse. I thought I would give them one more shot in 2020. Serviced in April and the yard was horrible. Then the postponing started with no reschedule date. Took a while to contact task easy (I get it with everything going on). Then after a week I got someone through email and they eventually got me scheduled again. Then it was postponed on the day to be cut. Then no reschedule date. Contacted task easy with no response. It's been a month since my yard was last cut and the grass is crazy. Cancelled my task easy account and got it cut. Task easy seemed to stop caring about their service 2 years ago. At no time with all these troubles did a manager reach out to assist. Don't get task easy. read more

Save yourself a lot of pain and do not hire through TaskEasy. I had been using their service for about a year (mediocre service, sometimes late to mow the lawn, multiple problems with their website, slow to reschedule when the contractor missed a mowing)... and then all of the sudden they were 2+ weeks late to service my lawn (in the middle of summer where there was lots of growth). When I called, multiple times, every time they told me i needed to update my payment info, so I did. They still didnt service my property after 3x of calling and updating my card. Eventually a contractor came out to service my yard and then demanded an extra $40 on the spot because my lawn was overgrown. I told them it was overgrown because THEY didnt mow it on time per our schedule, but they didnt take responsibility and demanded more $. I fired them on the spot. I hired TaskEasy for a bi-weekly premium yard service in May 2017. The contractor failed to show up- while I waited for them to assign the task to a new contractor the grass became overgrown. TaskEasy refused to comp the overgrowth charge so the contractor they assigned refused to mow the lawn because he wasn't going to get paid unless I approved the extra charge. My usual lawn guy had health issues, so we turned to this rotating circle of bumbling issues. Asked them to come out and cut our lawn on a Friday, ok, they couldn't get there until Monday. Tues, after no show and no call we called again, ok Wed. (They charged our credit card, but couldn't find our address or phone number in their system) Thurs, again after a no show no call we called and were told they'd be there Friday. Yup, it's Friday, once again, no call and no show. Oh, they did call later in the afternoon, and tell us that because our lawn was now 'overgrown' it would cost twice the $$ to cut, since it was more work at this point. Incredibly unreliable. In theory, its a great idea. However in general contractors are notorious for not coming when they say they are going to come up. They will reshuffle you for a more high paying job. That's just the nature of the business. That being said, Task Easy is a victim of this as well. Until they hold their partnered contractors accountable for showing up on the day they are scheduled, and not rescheduling simple tasks 3-4 times it is not a service you can rely on. At this point, it has been 10 days since my leaf removal spring cleaning task has been originally scheduled. They have rescheduled it 3 times and on the last day it scheduled for (yesterday) the contractor just didn't even show up and task easy had no idea why- they kept insisting that the contractor has until 8:00 PM to complete the task and wouldn't talk about a refund until the next day- Really? a contractor is going to show up at 8:00 PM to rake leaves? The Taskeasy app allows for easy scheduling and sign up of their service; however, the contractor showed up three days after the date originally scheduled and no notification was made to me. After three emails and three telephone calls to customer service they gave me the excuse that weather has pushed back the schedule. Well it had rained on Sunday. Service was originally scheduled for Monday, pushed to Tuesday. The app showed they were supposed to arrive initially on Monday, then changed to Tuesday. On Wednesday evening when I called they still hadn't shown up. The contractor arrived just before dark on Wednesday evening; no professional contractor to say the least. No markings on the truck and no bagger on the mower. After the rain and three day delay in service the grass was too tall for not getting bagged and they left the clippings in the yard. they also weed whack around the edges and left those clippings everywhere. There were demarcation lines between where they used a push mower and used the riding mower. The only reason TaskEasy gets one star is because the ease of scheduling on the app. Otherwise, their customer service and their contractors are horrendous. read more

If I could award a -10 I would do so. I called Taskeasy on 8/12/2019 requesting an estimate for the basic service because I did have a somewhat positive experience a few years ago so they still had my closed account on file and my credit card information. On 8/23/2019, although I hadn't agreed to start service, I noticed a $55.00 charge on my credit card statement. I immediately call and was told I had approved the service. I reminded them that I hadn't and had I approved, they were charging me for a service call they had yet to schedule and perform. After about 20 to 30 minutes on the phone I told them to cancel the service immediately even though I had not approved it and had yet to receive any form of service. They told me they originally informed me by email me they were charging my credit card and beginning service, THEY HADN'T. They also told me they would immediately email confirmation of my cancellation request on 8/24/2019, THEY DIDN'T so I opened a dispute with my credit card company and called Taskeasy again to inform them I had yet to receive the cancellation confirmation email. After about 10 minutes on the phone and giving them my email address again they agreed to immediately email the cancellation verification. I STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED THE CANCELLATION VERIFICATION. I waited about a week and took off just for it. I had several small sapplings and wanted to be there the first time the came. Well... I stayed home all day. In fact... About 10 am, I called just to see if they have any clue for a time period. Nope. But they will be there before dark they say... No... Never showed up so emailed them back n said cancel and forget it. Well... I come home for lunch two days later and my grass is cut. I call them upset cuz those sapplings are mowed down too. The woman says... Oh no... Well we dont have a record of finishing yours so cant even be us. Hmmm... Ok... A guy had come that morning for a bid... Maybe he thought he was actually doing it not just bidding... Nope... Well.. About a week later I am looking at my checking account and there is a charge from task easy... 65.21... And then I get an email from them. My service date has been changed! What? No , no.... Why isn't 0 Stars an option??? Don't order service from Taskeasy, the third party that was contracted to cut my grass did an okay job, nothing great. They kinda show up on time, sometimes days late. But when I emailed to cancel service I received an email back asking me to call them but in no way indicated that they won't cancel service until I do. 3 and half weeks later I receive an email saying that they will be there tomorrow, I replied not to come that I cancelled service. They still showed up, I called and rejected the payment. The following week I receive an email saying that they are charging me anyway because they cut the grass. The grass was already cut by my new service and wasn't needed. The pictures that prove they cut it, look almost identical and actually shows that the grass didn't need to be cut at all. This service is not to be trusted, I'm going to have to cancel my card to prevent them from continuing to charge me for cancelled unneeded services. I hired them a few months ago, at first.. it was ok.. not the best service and they missed certain area. I just let it go without complaining. They suddenly switch contractor and the new guy was very flakey.. they rescheduled or delay my mowing every single time they suppose to come. Then.. they just decided not to come at all. Taskeasy assigned me a new contractor after my complaints.. the new contractor delay/ reschedule twice and then said they completed the job (when my lawn hasn't been mowed for over 1 month). Contractor suppose to take picture as proof, some how he said his mobile app not functional.. When I called Taskeasy to dispute the mowing service, they said, contractor said they mowed and I would have to send them picture in order for them to even talk to the contractor. I had to go home and take pictures and send them those pictures.. Taskeasy said contractor also has pictures they took to show proof that they did the work.. but somehow they won't send those pictures to me.. now I might have to dispute with my credit card company for the fees and have to find some other lawn service company to deal with my 1 month over grown lawn. This has to be one of the worst services out here. The contractors never show up when scheduled. Task Easy takes absolutely no responsibility for the unreliable contractors they offer. First mow was fine. Second mow was rescheduled for as the contractor said they got behind because of rain. Never came on the re-scheduled day. Re-scheduled again. Guess what? No one showed up. Set up a third time. No one came until I insisted that Task Easy call the contractor and make sure I was on his schedule and that he would come on the third scheduled date. Finally, some showed. Here we are again, two weeks later and you know it. No contractor showed up to mow my lawn. As a customer, you have absolutely no recourse for the lack of action. Please choose any other company. This will not end well for you, take heed and don't make the same mistake I did and trust that this company can actually provide the services requested. Let me start by saying that I'm disappointed I have to give 1 star. If you would've asked me last summer, it would've but 5 stars but clearly Task Easy has had a shift in management or something because this year has been nothing but a total nightmare. As the other reviewers stated, Task Easy contractors repeatedly scheduled jobs and then failed to show up and Task Easy seems to not be bothered by it in the slightest. I would then recieve an email the day of, rescheduling my task to the next day or letting me know my task has been reassigned to another contractor. It's frustrating and irritating when you send a company 6+ emails and call twice and leave voicemails (all in a 4 day period) to try to resolve an issue and no one even bothers to return your call or email. It's insulting when you instead recieve an advertisement email asking you to switch to weekly service instead of bi-weekly because "it can save you money". Unsubscribe. Please, I can't even get a contractor to come out twice per month let alone 4 times. It's unacceptable when a contractor keeps sending you notifications that they are coming to perform tasks (then later, ironically, reschedule said tasks) that you've asked Task Easy to permanently cancel because you find their lack of customer service and communication skills unsettling at best. It's infuriating when you have to send an email letting Task Easy know that you've tried on 6 documented occasions to contact them regarding cancelling your service and have not recieved any response. Therefore, you're faced with no other option than to file a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau within 24 hours if you have not been contacted by a representative. It's even more insulting to instead of recieve a response from a human, you just recieve a generic notice that your tasks have been cancelled and the reason is listed as":no longer needs service". No, Task Easy..I definitely still need the service. I just need better service, reliable service from a different company that seems to care about the people who try to help keep them in business. read more

"When someone tells you who they are, believe them." I have tried to use TaskEasy several times over the past four years. Each time, my encounters with them have concluded with wasting my time to get refunds from them. I ordered my most recent tasks on May 9 and May 10. I wanted the lawn to be mowed and I wanted a spring cleanup. The lawn was mowed on May 14, and it was a terrible job. When I asked to have it redone, I was told it would cost more. I agreed to pay more, but no one ever returned. No one ever showed up for the spring cleanup... Ever. I called and emailed multiple times. Nothing! When I called to cancel these services and get a refund (because, of course, my credit card was charged when I ordered the services), I had to call three different times until I actually got the refunds. The last call I made on June 2 resulted in an offer to still have someone come out and do the service. The operator asked if I would give her another chance to reschedule this service, which had been postponed multiple times and was still showing up on my dashboard as scheduled for May 30 (yes, it was already June 2). I informed her that at the time of our phone call, another contractor, who I had gotten through the home advisor app, was already completing the job. I called him on Friday and he did the job on Saturday. This was the same job that I had ordered on TaskEasy weeks ago. 24 hour service versus no service after multiple phone calls and unanswered emails?? Go with Home Advisor, people!! read more
