The initial clean up and mowing service was good. My issue was with their administrative service. The mowing service started at $36 (first time customer discount) ever other week, after three or so mows it went to $42 (the regular rate). When the Fall began they tried to charge me $60! When I called they said it was a mistake but that the price would go up to $52! Which I would not have agreed to! I told them that I hadn't received the mandatory email notice/agreement of the increase, (which they are suppose to do with your permission). Yet they still attempted to charge me. Also the customer is suppose to approve of the work before being billed or paying. Fortunately, I used a prepaid credit card to set up the service so they couldn't with draw the funds or bill me, without me putting the funds in first. They just proceeded with the service without my approval but they didn't get paid. I want to resolve this and I hope that they will agree to the $42 charge so I can close the account. read more

Absolutely terrible experience as a contractor working with TaskEasy. Their communication is unprofessional and borderline nonexistent. Good luck trying to get a real response from support when something goes wrong -- you'll either be ignored or bounced around with no resolution. They also charge hidden insurance fees, even if you already carry your own coverage. It's deceptive and unfair, and they make it nearly impossible to opt out. Worst of all, they consistently refuse to pay for completed work using bogus excuses. For example, they declined payment on a mowing job because the "before and after photos didn't show enough of a difference." Seriously? The grass was cut as requested, and there was nothing else included in the scope. This is just a shady way to get out of paying for services rendered. Avoid TaskEasy at all costs -- whether you're a homeowner or a contractor. There are better, more honest platforms out there that actually respect the work and time of the people they partner with. read more

Compete bait and switch. Scheduled to show up on a certain date, never showed up, no communication until the next day when they automatically rescheduled. Apparently, they showed up on the new date and left my property without even letting me know they were here. This review is of TaskEasy - not about any specific contractor who does work there. Last year I tried to schedule weekly cutting and it got cut once. After that, it got rescheduled multiple times, and when I called in to see what was going on, they just tossed it back into the contractor pool. Once it went back into the pool, it transferred around between multiple agents, none of which ever came out. I eventually worked out an arrangement with a specific business in my area. This year, I decided to try it again. I scheduled bi-weekly service at the end of last month. It was cut 4 days later, and then rescheduled twice, and then put back into the contractor pool. After it transferred 3 times with no service, I called them to see what was going on and they just unassigned it again. I went to a different site, requested a cut. It was done same day for half the price. I strongly recommend you avoid this site. There are plenty of others out there. read more

TaskEasy owes me $400. We'll get there soon. This company has some of the worst processes that screw over the contractor. They do no pay a trip charge for you traveling to a property that can not be worked on due to construction going on, or painting. They say because there is another house close you get to waste your time while I imagine they get paid a bit for the trip. It takes 10-15 minutes to get all the proper stuff done that we don't get paid for. With gas at $6/gallon in California, they should pay something for the time. Now back to my $400. I had a bid that was put in via the bid team after I told them I didn't want to do a certain job. The bid team, specifically Silvia, placed a bid for $400 that was approved by the client. I was willing to do the job for that so I proceeded to do so. I have an email confirmation, screen shot of the job with the payout, and the job being completed. I completed the job and the extra funds for the bid was not on my payout. I reached out and was told it was due to the funds being added from a bid that was submitted in April. The bid team dropped the ball and used previous photos not the ones I took. So based on their mess up I am not receiving my funds. They are not taking responsibility and legal obligation for my payout based on the written proof I have for my payout. read more

I used Task Easy for several of my company's rental homes and the results are subpar. The vendors Task Easy hires are typically lazy and do a shoddy job at best. When I rejected some jobs, Task Easy asked for photos of the issues. I provided photos twice. I then received a message stating they never received the photos and they approved the work in favor of the vendor. They get away with it, as I am not able to see the yards since they are spread over several states. My local property manager had to tell me the vendor was neglecting an entire side of the property and conveniently leaving out "after" photos of this area. I sent the photos four times. I also paid an additional fee for tree removal for young trees that blew over during a storm and the vendor removed the tree, but left the tree stakes. I argued this should have been part of the job, but they refused to ask the vendor to remove the stakes on his next visit and charged me $150 for removing the stakes. I was left with little choice but to move forward since I am not physically in the area and the HOA was breathing down my neck. My other homes are not much better and the fee for mowing small yards is too high. I am looking at another service for all my lawns. All in all, vendors are lazy and nickel and dime customers. The upcharges are ridiculous and again, the vendors do a crude job of those as well. Task Easy has horrible customer service that resolves nothing. Try a different service! read more

Last year, that all changed when they got a new contractor after Covid hit. Had him come out, tell me he'd be back tomorrow and then reschedule for 2 weeks out. I went months without my grass being cut unless I did it myself. Talked to them this year and they told me I have a new contractor. It appears to be going the same way again. Multiple reschedules on their side, emails received that the customer service couldn't explain why we were receiving them. The act like it's so easy to schedule something online, and then they do absolutely nothing to let you know what's going on. I placed a service order 2 weeks ago. A few days ago, I sent a message through their site asking what was going on. No response. Suddenly this morning, I get an email saying that my service was rescheduled from today to tomorrow. Totally worthless service. It's more of a headache to navigate through a task easy request rathen to find a few good contractors on your own. Every year I schedule fall cleanup, and every year it's a complete disaster. We have contractors that just don't show up, we have contractors that asked us to call and cancel so we can give them cash on the side, it is a mess. Even today, task easy cannot find or get ahold of our contractor. Essentially you just sit around and hope someone shows up. Trust me, find someone else... anyone else. These people are TERRIBLE. This has been the most frustrating experience I've had with a business. I had a big party that I was hosting at my house and wanted professional lawn care before the event. I arrange 3 weeks in advance so that I would have 2 lawn care services in that time. The scheduled and cancelled then re-scheduled until they missed the event. I called and spoke to them at least 8 times, and then 2 more times speaking with a manager who promised they would fix the problem (Juan Delio) on 2 separate occasions. Since I had so many personal assurances, I didn't get a different contractor to do the work. Sure enough, no one came, and the lawn was an absolute mess for the party. I ordered on July 17, the party was August 3rd, they came on August 5th. Over the course of the next few months the story was the same, numerous cancellations, multiple calls by me to Task Easy, they apologize and say they will send out someone right away, no one shows up, further cancellations, further frustration. Meanwhile, the lawn is a mess and it becomes harder and harder to maintain. Furthermore, that is a complete disrespect of my time. Each call to them to ask them to come takes 30 minutes of my time. This is a rental home, and so I don't live there, but I look like a terrible landlord when I promise my tenant that there will be yard work done and no one shows up, time after time after time. I started the every other week service on July 17, and by Nov 6th they had only showed up 3 times. They rescheduled more than 11 times. At the very least I believe I deserve a refund of the money spent. Although Task Easy is supposed to make lawn care easy and out of mind, its quite the opposite. I would ABSOLUTELY not recommend this company!!! After their assigned contractor fails to show up 3 weeks in a row when scheduled and I am assigned a new one- they come out and tell me that due to "overgrown grass and bushes needing a little more pruning" my price would increase from 87 dollars to 250!!!!!!! WTH!? Mind you- I have a pool and minimal backyard!!! It was THEIR contractors that failed to show up. It was their fault my grass was grown more than usual. (Not even six inches btw!) and then they have the nerve to charge me extra for THEIR failures. Terrible! And thanks for leaving my back gate wide open with small pets!!! I never got an apology. So wished I had saw all of this before using this service! Using the app, TaskEasy for your lawn service is a REALLY BAD idea. Our pet rabbit had clearly been ran over by Task Easy lawn care service. Fur scattered and mangled in the grass shavings, rabbit just laying there, with what appeared to be broken legs and now dead. I have no idea how long he laid there, suffering. They came while we were gone so no opportunity to put the bunny away... no regard to our schedule... no warning they were coming.... then, to just leave without contacting us is unacceptable. They just left him there so when we got home, including my 7 year old grandson, we all walked up on this horrible sight. I called Task Easy and the guy immediately told me how to file a claim. Wait, WHAT?!?! Does this happen a lot where there is a standard procedure? I haven't been able to sleep, my grandson cried himself to sleep and my daughter is heartbroken. Listen, accidents can happen but to just him there to suffer and for us to walk up on it is unbearable and unbelievable. No regard for us or our pet. Completely Inhumane! So, after a few emails and a couple of phone calls... about a week later, we were offered a new bunny by Mat Cazer, Operations Manager from the TaskEasy headquarters. So, let me understand... our pet bunny that we have had for over a year is replaceable by another $30. bunny?!?! I DON'T THINK SO! I can't believe the CEO and co-owner is okay with such a completely insulting offer. I now realize the importance of dealing with the local service personally; where you actually know who you are hiring and you can schedule with the local service personal as far as the day and time of the service and be there so incidents like this won't happen. In response to Task Easy post below... First of all, I would have LOVED to have had the opportunity to put the bunny up while the flying mower was here but unfortunately I was not home... they just show up when they want with no regard to our schedule and no warning of their arrival... SO, WE WERE NOT HERE TO TAKE CARE OF THAT. In fact, that was an issue from day one. I requested a certain day so I could be home to meet the service person, personally and so to put away the animals so the new sounds wouldn't put unnecessary stress on them. Secondly, the two dogs the lawn service is throwing the blame on, have been siblings for over a year... even sleep together. NEVER ONCE, HAVE ANY OF THEM EVER MIS-TREATED THE OTHER. So, NO... I DO NOT BELIEVE THEM AND YES, I am calling him/them a liar. And lastly... I really don't care what you at Task Easy believes. You say you have pets... I would think you know your pets, just like we know ours. I am just warning others of the disconnect while using a 3rd party with no accountability. With all of the negative reviews on Facebook and Yelp, clearly this company is in trouble and I suspect won't be around much longer. I called them to mow my already-overgrown lawn. They scheduled a time and then failed to show up. They then rescheduled for six says later and again failed to show up, all while I was out of town and having a friend house-sit. My friend took the day off from going into the office so he could be present for the lawn service. When I called them after the second time they said they "can't find a contractor anywhere near Oakland." Wow. That would have been nice to know before I scheduled and re-scheduled. TASK EASY LAWN SERVICE I hate to be a BAD NEWS bearer but I feel compelled to help others not make the same mistakes I made with this company. My 1st mistake was after firing TASK EASY months ago for taking my money with a job that was left incomplete I eventually had to rehire them because the next company I employed later decided it was too much travel miles for them to continue to cut my yard. After a 6 week delay left from that company.....my yard was understandably overgrown. I took my lick and paid TASK EASY double the rate to service my yard that was 6 weeks overdue. My 2nd Episode, TASK EASY serviced the yard August 3rd. They were scheduled to return on the 17th (bi-weekly cuts). From Aug 17th thru Sept 2nd I received 17 daily emails from TASK EASY saying the service was being rescheduled to the follow day.(Over & Over Again) After several lengthly telephone calls asking for an explanation for this unacceptable behavior, I was eventually informed by a VERY RUDE SUPERVISOR NAMED CHRISTIAN.....that the service providing contractor requested $200.00 in addition to the $97.00 for my regular service. The grass was only 3 weeks of overgrowth in comparison to the 6 weeks from earlier. They were asking for TRIPLE the pay...$297.00 Though very angry I remained professional and questioned why was it MY FAULT that the service provider RESCHEDULED 17 times. He kept postponing the cut and now he wants me to pay 3x's the rate to get it cut. Supervisor Christian arrogantly asked; "So what do you want me to do". I replied "Service my yard as I hired you to do". He very arrogantly replied he was not going to pay for the extra $200.00 that the sub-contractor wanted, so if I was not going to pay it, he would just end my service saying I refused to pay for overgrowth. We rent and the dandelions have overtaken the yard and I am sure all our neighbors with the nice clean cut lawns are not happy with the trashy look of our current yard.
