I have been using Taskeasy services for mowing/trimming for about 4 years for 3 rental properties. I used to love it! Initially, the task was easy. Point and click and my lawn service was complete. The website was easy to navigate and schedule. I received before and after pictures and email notifications prior to the service being performed. This 2019 season, the number of re-schedules increased significantly. There were times my lawn was re-scheduled as far as 7 weeks from the initial request. I had service scheduled June 4, 2019 and then every other week. After 15 re-assignments and postponements, they showed up September 4, 2019 for the next service. I received a $300 fine from the city because the lawn was not cared for all season. Taskeasy failed to take responsibility. Calls to Customer Service were unresponsive. I am bidding my lawn care services for 3 properties to a more reliable provider. read more

I have had absolutely the WORST experience with this company. I have not had my lawn mowed by them in over A MONTH. My Jobs always get rescheduled but this is the worst it's ever been. The last time my lawn was mowed was June 29th, 2022. It's now August! When they started rescheduling every single day I realized something was wrong so I started calling. I was told every single day, "Oh we don't know why, well it's scheduled for tomorrow so they'll be there". Spoiler they NEVER came the next day. I called every day for two weeks until I finally complained enough and told them to stop dismissing me and contact my mower to find out what is going on. Turns out my mowers equipment was BROKEN and he was still just rescheduling me every single day. I told them that my lawn is ridiculous and overgrown that I can't wait for him to get it fixed, and give me a new contractor. They get someone and then try to tell me that I WILL HAVE TO PAY AN OVER GROW FEE! I tell them that's insane because I did not neglect my lawn for a month and that I called every day to try to resolve it. The worker, Alex, hangs up on me. I finally get someone on the phone who tells me that the fee would be waived because obviously it's not my fault and task easy is the one breaking their agreement to mow my lawn. Know and behold my new contractor STILL has not shown up for the last 3 days and I am calling over and over to once again be told, "Oh we don't know why, well it's scheduled for tomorrow so they'll be there". PLEASE SOMEONE GET MY LAWN MOWED. I'm being threatened by HOA with fees and if I receive a bill it will be going to task easy. I refuse to pay for another company to come and charge me an overgrown fee when it's not my fault it's overgrown and I know if I go that route that task easy will NEVER reimburse me. I'm upset that I even will need to pay my normal price to have my lawn mowed at this point but I just want it done! PLEASE HELP I'm so stressed and frustrated! read more

This year, they missed mowing after mowing with no communication. Same as you see in many other reviews - I'd call after each missed mowing, they'd deliver some obsequious, scripted customer service language, and nothing would be solved. Time after time, they would assure me they understood my frustration, apologize profusely, and assure me they would rectify the situation (before directly and shamelessly asking me to give them a positive rating in the automated customer satisfaction survey at the end of each call), but my lawn continued to go without mowing. You're much better off finding a provider yourself, since all TaskEasy has to offer is neglected lawns, poor communication, and unnecessary frustration. read more

If you want your lawn care to never be done on time, this is the company for you! Originally scheduled for Monday every other week. First service was late by a day, then my day became Tuesday because my contractor was changed. The next service the contractor didn't come until Wednesday and complained the grass was too long so he wouldn't service, had to wait til Friday. Now my mow day is Friday. Most recently they didn't mow on Friday but waited all the way until Tuesday. My original day was Monday, and they messed up so many times (within less than 2 months) that my day is now Tuesday the NEXT week. Holy cow. Customer service is rude, contracted companies are not courteous, job quality is simply adequate at best, and the company is completely unapologetic about rude contractors and missed schedules. However, they are nothing if not prompt at processing payment. We had enough, even though we don't have much free time we just decided to go buy a mower and weed eater and do it ourselves. I worked for taskeasy as a contractor for 4 years. They constantly don't put bids through and expect you to just take care of a property for $20 and have the grass 3 feet high. I was an elite provider with them and paid them an additional 12% for exclusivity in a designated area, they gave properties to other contractors before myself which should of never happened. Originally was scheduled for a one time lawn cut on 9/24, then it was moved to 9/25, then 9/29! Called customer service after the delay from 9/25/2019, was assured by the customer service rep they would come on 9/29/2019. They even spoke with the contractor. The reason for the delay I was given was the contractor was changed after the initial scheduling, and the second contractor was only in my area on Sundays. Fair enough, I decided to give it one more chance. 9/29/2019 rolled around, nobody came. Lawn is now so long I would definitely be charged for the 6+ inch lawn fee. I called and emailed that night, they were closed. I called on 9/30/2019 when they opened, it had a 45 minute wait to speak to someone. I gave up and mowed the front myself. Called later in the day and spoke to someone, they again told me it was a "miscommunication" and someone "may be by today but (I) don't know because I didn't speak to the contractor but he is in your area." Asked for a discount because of the egregious delay and the fact that my yard is now half mowed, rep said that wasn't possible and that they charge for full yard - and that they would be charging $72, which is even more than what the app said it would be with the 6+ inch fee (62.79) I told them to cancel. Horrific experience. I am deleting this app and telling everyone I know not to use it. What a huge waste of my time! Last year was great, the contractor did a great job and the price was great as well. This year they increased the price by 18%. I was expecting better service, but was I wrong. When you call you get the pleasure of hearing crying babies, dogs, and construction work so you can't understand what they are saying. Then they couldn't find someone in the neighborhood to do the work. They say they will get back to you but of course you need to call back. I'm trying LawnStarter. This service was recommended by my landlord (Invitation Homes) and I wanted to try it because of the discount offered to IH tenants. However, this is probably one of the worse customer service I had in years. They have no phone number to call and they never reply my messages. Signed up this summer for basic lawn mowing. The only time they came was scheduled was the first time, after that it was constantly rescheduled. The app was never current, more times than not I had to call. When I did call they said all the right things but never followed up on any of what they promised. Dropped them after constant frustration. Don't bother.. cheaper options out there also. read more

I'm in northwest Indiana. They showed up one time and then I had weekly service scheduled. I called and emailed and called and emailed and called and was told time after time someone would be out before sundown. I really was looking forward to taking it easy this summer as my lawn mower died and I figured I would pay for a service. Well after my lawn got to the point were I could no longer wait on this awful service. I just went out and bought a new mower. DO NOT use this "service". I started taskeasy services for basic mowing of my lawn about 2 years ago. Throughout the 2 years, their on-line IT and dashboard were better than average. It was easy to navigate and schedule although the most recent work was not updated. Pictures were taken after the work was performed and reminders were sent prior to the service being performed. Their on-line and telephone customer service (to include email) were better than average. They responded quickly to inquiries. Over the past year, the # of re-schedules increased quite a bit. There were times my lawn was re-scheduled as far as 5 weeks from the initial request. This was due to having to locate new Contractors to fill the lawn mowing request. They didn't provide a reason as to why this happened. It may be based on your location in the US and the # of Contractors available to perform the service. They contacted me in mid-March, asking if I was interested in starting the service for the upcoming season. After scheduling for the first of April, then re-scheduling later in the week, and again for mid-April.. then again, not until the latter part of April, I cancelled the service with taskeasy completely. Possibly that's why you're not under any obligation or a contract. read more

Task Easy provides a very good service for a reasonable price saving me time for other things as it is not easy to find someone to do a job on a temporary basis. There is a problem, I believe they don't know if the job the customer has contracted for is done right. My experience with the 2nd job performed on my property was a very poor job. They showed up in the afternoon and the job was completed in less than 10 minutes leaving behind an improper cut lawn. There were areas where the lawn mower missed completely. I hope they can correct this as the service they provide by finding people to do a task on a short notice and on a temporary basis is not an easy one. read more

Ok, task easy is a joke... in north texas we don't generally get enough rain to mow weekly..... so when a jib just got done last week and you want your contractors to trim and cut trees for a small yard mow price and haul away at contractors expense!!! Then management will say its a lie even when you can give the physical description of the employee and his vehicle. We have tried to use this company multiple times and have yet to get a response. We had yard guy come and go basically this is over 6 inches we are going to charge over $100 more and it wasn't even that long they were extremely rude and then didn't say anything just left and didn't do anything. Then reschedule after I mowed it for like a week later. I have now been rescheduled 4 times and they have no way of telling me when they will show. This is extremely unprofessional and I will make sure people know how this company works and will be reporting to the BBB. This is a shady shady company and they don't deserve to be in business. I've been a customer of this company since 2017. Service for the first several years was great! The service I've received in 2021 has been abysmal. The lawn care season started late. My contractor no showed multiple times with continual rescheduling that resulted in my service being far extended past my biweekly contract. The final straw was when after calling or emailing for every day for an entire week I could not get someone out to my yard when it had been a month since it had been mowed. I only received a "reason" once for someone not coming out and that was because there was a 38% chance of rain one day. "MISINFORMATION" GIVEN by CONTRACTOR/CONTRACTORS "ADVOCATE" to TASK EASY and myself THE CUSTOMER The telephone service is quite good. They clearly seem to understand what the customer needs. I explained that am trying to sell the property and I explained that I need the grass cut at my large yard every 2 weeks for the open houses and showings of the property. The first time the contractor came they did a beautiful job. Two weeks later (I was not in town at the time) they came again as scheduled. The pictures the contractor turned in to Task Easy were taken at Dusk/Dark and were too dark to really see and I only approved the job because I had faith that they did the same good job they had done before.. MY MISTAKE! It wasn't until 2 days later during an open house that my realtor sent me pictures of the atrocious yard, (gosh I wish I could insert pictures here) HOW EMBARRASING! 2/3 of the backyard was UNCUT and the other 1/3 of the yard that they did cut looked like they used a very low setting and the blade was not sharp so instead of cutting my grass the grass was torn! LOTS OF DIRT SHOWING!. (I have plenty of pictures). I immediately called Task Easy and they contacted the contractor who went late in that afternoon and "finished" the job. I was not in town but my neighbors said that even after they returned that the back 3rd of the yard was not yet cut! I again called Task Easy and they again called the contractor. The Contractor sent Hector at Task Easy a picture showing what she said was of the corrected job "finished" job. Hector forwarded that photo to me and I discovered that THE CONTRACTOR SENT A PICTURE FROM THE FIRST TIME THEY CUT THE GRASS two week earlier!!! I pointed this out to Hector and told him that we both were being lied to. He asked me to give them a second chance but I simply have no confidence in the capabilities and or ethics of the Contractor. Even though I sent complaint and several pictures to Help@Task Easy.com THE COMPANY STILL CHARGED ME for this atrocious job instead of firing this incapable and unethical Contractor. I gave them 0 star if I am allowed. Don't use it! There is no accountability when there is miscommunication between you and/or them and/or the contractor. The service is not reliable at all. They will charge your credit card without your approval, then you will be sent in circles trying to resolve the issue. Their customer service's attitude is once they got your money, you are never going to get it back even you did not approve the charge in the first place.Remember, they will charge your credit card without your approval! Southeastern WI, don't even bother. We tried to hire TaskEasy to contract our lawn mowing short term while I'm pregnant with twins and my husband is out with a back injury, so we can't do it ourselves. Task was scheduled and then rescheduled again before the company admitted that they had no contractor assigned to the job. They have no leverage with local contractors because this is just side work for them. They had 5 contractors in the area and no availability from any of them. TaskEasy would not take any steps to get the job done, including finding new contractors or expanding outside of my area. There is NO follow up or notifications from their customer service team. On top of that, they have no ability to solve your problems. They can't schedule with contractors, there is a separate, mythical "recruiting" group that tries to on board additional contractors, so they can't do that either. All they can do if you call to complain is listen and take notes that no one will review unless you call back again. I could not get a manager or supervisor on the phone for almost 2 weeks AFTER the job was supposed to have been completed. The response I got was "We're sorry, there are no available contractors in your area so you may have to cancel your service." Bunch of geniuses you have there... If I could give them zero stars I would. And maybe a couple middle fingers to top it off. read more

I just canceled the service for the second time. The first time was last year because of constant rescheduling. They contacted me a couple of weeks ago and asked me to return as a customer. I decided to give them another try. Today after being rescheduled 5 times I called to find out if a contractor would show up today. After a 40 minute phone call I was told that yes a contractor would definitely be out today. Literally 10 minutes later I receive an email saying that the contractor would be by to give an estimate on the cost due to the grass having grown for an additional two weeks due to the rescheduling. At this point, I would have just approved the extra cost to get the HOA off my back. But I was told by the Taskeasy rep that I now have to wait for them to receive the new quote and the. Be rescheduled. I only wish I could give less than one star. However I guess I bear part of the blame for trying to be a returning customer. Fool me once. read more

As a vendor, we completed over 12000 tasks, yes 12000! in the beginning, they were great to work for, you could effectively plan your week around jobs coming thru the pipeline, then they lost a lot of good people in headquarters, people we had built relationships with...they warned us to cut bait and move on, the direction they were headed was the reason they had left. After so many quality people left, the home office was left with kiss ass kronies, they even promoted Matt to Vp/director- HUGE MISTAKE, has no clue how to turn suggestions into policy changes, they are losing their biggest client because of him...(HUGE CLIENT- LARGEST SINGLE FAMILY HOME/RENTAL OWNER IN AMERICA). They started jacking around with their prices, and pay schedules, none for the good of their contractors. What they don't understand is that you don't bite the hand that feeds you, they constantly make internal policy changes that make it impossible to be profitable. Absolutely a fraud. July 9th I submitted an order. In it I selected the entirety of the front, middle, back yard of my home. Roughly 5K feet to mow/blow. It was overgrown, I expected to pay an additional price and an additional price was given to me when the contractors arrived. I ok'd and they said they would begin. Most of the people who showed up to my house left, leaving 1 man and a single lawn mower. They mowed the front, and roughly 15% of the middle yard, touched none of the back. The man they left here spent the next hour smoking cigarettes' in my front yard and playing on his phone. I assumed that the overgrowth was too much and they needed more tools, no big deal. However, TaskEasy reached out to me to tell me the contractor had somehow finished the mow? I contested the completion considering over 1/2 the lawn wasn't mowed and nothing was blown. Debris was strewn all over the property, gates left open. I took photos and responded to TaskEasy with my dissatisfaction. They said they would contact the contractor to follow up to my satisfaction. At this point I was still thinking things were ok, perhaps a bad contractor. However, no one ever returned to my property, and without fail I receive "We're following up with your contractor" emails every other day. I email TaskEasy regarding this issue to see what is going on. I ask what they are going to do to make things right, they offer me 20% off on a service that never happens. My service after emailing them with proof of their poor work was continuously mysteriously canceled and rescheduled every week until the beginning of August '22 when I canceled my service with them. Very unreliable and terrible customer service. If I could give it no stars I would. I have also submitted this complaint to the BBB. Hopefully this place get's shut down like it deserves. read more

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!! Have not had my yard cut in 5 weeks because the service provider did not provide the service, but told task easy they did. When I declined payment, taskeasy asked my to send pics, which I did, but got no response. When I called the 800 number, I was told they couldn't pull up my account due to technical difficulties, but nobody EVER called me back. The service provider shared b4 and after pics, but the after pics were clearly not even my yard. I let all of this slide assuming they would manage this correction for the next scheduled lawn service, but the EXACT same thing just happened again this week, including false "after" pics from the service provider. When I called task easy, they were no help at all. I asked them to cancel my service all together, and GET THIS... the agent on the phone told me he nor any other person employed by task easy, including the CEO, could cancel my service--because I had declined the charge for a service that WAS NOT performed. DO NOT get mixed up with this company or give them your credit card. You will end up in a horrible cycle of poor management of your account, no lawn service, and with no ability to cancel your account, without a certified letter and an attorney. read more

I contacted this company a contractor broke my window. I've been given the run around by Britney Burton at Leavitt Group in SLC, Utah. Stating the contractor denies breaking my window, acourse he denied it. What do you expect. She told me my claim was closed?! When you call the number to speak, with her no one answers??? She stated, that it was lunch time. So, this legitimate insurance company everyone goes to lunch at the same time. Really?! Then she told me that, she can give me a free mow? How about you fix my window!!! Not everyone is a LIAR!!! Poor Customer Service!!!! If this company breaks anything on your property, they won't fix it! Before I give this review. I want to make it clear my comments are not directed at the independent contractors used by taskeasy to provide lawn and services. Taskeasy lost my future business because of questionable business and billing practices. In my case I contacted them online in October to temporarily discontinue my lawn service as of 1 November until 25 March. None the less they continued the service anyway charging my account. When I contacted a rep for taskeasy. He claimed that suspending services can only be done by phone call and the requirement is wriiten in their agreement disclousre. When I asked for a copy of the disclourse agreement. They claimed they would email it to me. That never happened of course. 10 days later no email, no agreement. What I regret more is I didn't get the contact info of the person that was cutting my lawn. I would hire him direct and pay him more just so I would have to use a middle company with shady business practices. So if you use taskeasy and get a good lawn service person drop ties with taskeasy and hire them directly. read more

Lots of bad reviews and deservedly so. I am not a customer but a contractor that did work for them. This is hands down the most unorganized. Biggest group of morons and idiots I've ever talked to in one place. One person says one thing then the next guy says the exact opposite. Jobs just disappear on the day your headed to do them. Their app shows this job but not one the desktop shows you. They assign jobs to contractors that say last serviced 50 plus days ago. So by then we show up and it's either yo overgrown to cut at the price they offer or the customer got smart and found someone else to do it. Very easy to get started as the name implies. But they make it difficult to discontinue service - seems to be on purpose. The only way I could see to discontinue service was either by sending an email or by calling. I sent an email four days before the next service was scheduled and tried to call the day before just to confirm, because they sent email as if the service was on. When you indicate you want to discontinue, they put you into some cue. It will be several minutes before you get through, but we can give you a call back - they say. Well they never called back. When I refused to pay for the service, they said they did not receive the email and they tried to call me back. I didn't get a call back and there is no indication of it on my phone. read more

There is nothing EASY about TASK EASY! I requested a lawn service on June 27, 2019 and the company sends an email "Thank you for your Lawn Mowing order! We are currently assigning a contractor to your property. We'll email you 24 hours before they arrive as a reminder". On June 30th I followed up because there still wasn't a contractor assigned and zero notification. Then on July 1st Task Easy canceled (TaskEasy has discontinued this Task with the following comment: No Contractors in Area - We were unable to find a contractor in the customer's area). You think i would've learned my lesson but being in customer service I decided to reorder the service. On July 6th I again made a request with the company for a lawn service. Good news it was scheduled for July 10th bad news its July 10th and they rescheduled. It did rain and fully understand but to reschedule to a future date of July 16th (6 days from when it was originally scheduled) is UNACCEPTABLE. When I called customer service they couldn't provide me with an answer as to why it would be 6 days. The on duty supervisor was "TO BUSY" and wasn't available to speak with me on the phone. BAD BUSINESS! To make matters worse I came home from a trip to find my lawn mowed. After speaking with someone whom claimed they would contact me back via phone or email. I never received any communication alerting me that the service was scheduled for July 14th. Only an email that the task had been completed and of course charging my account.
