I bought the Frito boat totchos, which is more or less tater tots with Fritos and chili and cheese mixed in. They use a cheese sauce, instead of shredded cheese. But that's what makes it like nachos. The tots are not necessarily crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside; they're more just soft. But you get the crunch from the Fritos, and the chili was not bad. It was all beef, no beans. I feel like this is almost too much information for a simple dish like this, but it sure did hit the spot, and there was enough to share. My only complaint was the price. It was pretty pricey for what you get.

Having traveled and lived in both Thailand and Laos in my younger days, was very interested to see what they'd have to offer. The menu was simple, with one appetizer and four entrees. But simple is fine by me if what you're serving up is stellar. Thai and Laotian food is not that different to be honest, just as the languages also have many similarities. If you hadn't told me they were fusing Laotian with Thai, I wouldn't have known, as you'll find all the dishes served in both countries. However, I would still say the menu was heavy on the Thai influence, although that's what people are more familiar with, so it's such a tricky situation, especially for a new food truck. But, some sticky rice or green papaya salad with barbecued meats or pork larb would definitely up their Laos game in my opinion. Regardless, we did try the Pad Thai which was delicious and a huge portion for $9.70 (with egg). They had lots of spicy toppings and kindly offered peanuts on the side in case of allergies. The owners, a husband (chef) and wife team, left a good impression and were friendly. Overall, good enough that I'd go back to Thai Box Zing if it were convenient, but I don't think I would hunt this truck down.

I liked that option so we could sit in the bottle shop and enjoy our beers until we were ready to eat. I ordered the shrimp po'boy and an order of tots with the Bomb A$$ sauce, my boyfriend ordered the cheeseburger and tots. The tots were the best we've ever had!! They are super crispy and the seasoning that they use is beyond reproach. It's so good! The po'boy was very flavorful and delicious!! The shrimp were perfectly cooked and the sub roll was very fresh. It's a must order. My boyfriend loved his burger, giving it a 4.5 out of 5 stars. We are definitely looking forward to our next visit!

The crust was not stellar. It was not thin (I prefer thick) but it was kind of limp, not crisp, so it was virtually impossible to pick up a single slice with my hands. I ended up cutting pieces to make them more manageable or used a fork under an entire slice to help support it while I ate. It didn't stop me from eating all the crust, up to the edges, which is my usual modus operandi. The plasticware was kind of on the shabby side. There were a few (less than a dozen) loose forks and spoons (not wrapped) in a station where you get such stuff. Curiously, there were no knives but I thought I would ask if I needed one. It turns out that I did want a knife, I asked the staff, they rooted around a bit, but couldn't find any at first. I keep a small supply of plasticware, napkins, etc in my car so I got a knife from there. In the meantime, the staff did turn up a couple of individually-wrapped plastic knives. I used mine instead and put the knives with the other plasticware for others to use. I ate half of the pizza at the restaurant and I got a takeaway box for the other half of the pizza for dinner. I will probably return to try other things.
