I called Meeks water treatment and asked them to come give me a solution. I explained I am from NY and have never had to deal with a well or this type of water and would be relying on their expert information. They discussed a system that would stop all the above and give us great water to drink. I agreed and we had the system installed. Had them set up on a regular visit for salt and service. So, the smell and black residue came back shortly after (just under a year) they came out looked it over and said THEY installed one of the pieces backwards and they needed to fix that AND I had to pay for labor. Yup, I did it, again, mistakes happen, ok, I dont think I should have had to pay, but. Ok, a little over a month, SAME THING. This time they tell me, again their mistake, I should have had a different unit installed not what I have and oh yes, they would give me a break on parts and labor, but I still had to pay. You guessed it, AGAIN we have the same thing, paid again for a service call to be told I need to get a plumber to come back wash my new water heater because when they had them set up in the wrong order it may have pushed sediment into the heater. Paid a plumber to come do just that, have video of NOTHING coming out of the heater and the plumber said, no way that is what is wrong. so here I sit, thousands out and still have a smell to the water and black sediment in the toilets. HELP, I am done calling Meek for them to keep charging me for THEIR mistakes. I wouldnt be SO against them if maybe they once said, Hey, this has been our problem, the service call is on us.

A few weeks later, there was a major water leak under the kitchen sink from a defective RO part. I received a call with a follow up email from an employee at NOVA stating it was their issue and they would pay for all repairs. They don't like the estimate that was provided to properly replace the damaged cabinet and stated that they would only pay to reskin the floor of the cabinet. This is putting a bandaid on a major damage to a brand new cabinet and not acceptable. Now I can't get anyone at NOVA to respond and the email I received was not even identifying who the sender was. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! This will end up in court at this rate!! Highly discourage NOVA Filtration as a service!!!

Separate from this, my wife was complaining about her hair not getting clean enough, and over time I noticed a white build up in the black tray underneath the dish strainer. I did two separate brand water hardness tests, and both times it did nt test as hard. It turns out, as Nova enlightened me, that it is more complicated than PH level. A water softener also removes mineral deposits . So we had Nova put that in as well, the wife no longer moans about her hair, and there are no longer white deposits on the dish tray. The water feels different and better. So regardless of the PH your water tests at I recommend that you have Nova install both of these devices. Their price is reasonable as well, I don't know why that fellow sticks signs in the grass in the roadside advertising units for twice what Nova charges, mine works great.
