The 2 gentleman who worked on me were polite and efficient. They were clearly slammed but took the time to go back when they saw something they wanted to fix, and to search for a new polish when the one on the shelf was looking past its prime. Those things don't go unnoticed! It was a busy but friendly local atmosphere. I recommend calling, this is clearly a favorite around here.

I stumbled into the salon back in October of 2012 on the hunt for someone to do my wedding hair and…read moremakeup - lo and behold, Marda was amazing! I did call ahead to schedule an appointment with her, and in addition to my wedding hair/make up consultation, I also asked her for a trim. We then laid down plans to execute my hair and makeup. I was a very laid back bride and gave Marda very little to go on - "Sure, whatever you think will look good.. I kinda want a side updo curly thing with this birdcage veil and uhhh, I want to GLOW golden for my photos" was about the extent of what I communicated to her. I ran late to my appointment ('poor time management' was of course the culprit.. it was my wedding day and needless to say I was running around a lot!) and Marda had literally cleared a block of time for me and was very gracious about my schedule. She set to work on my hair, accommodated both my birdcage veil and my vintage barrette, plus worked around my photographer and my phone calls and my whitening strips, etc. etc. Basically, she rocked. She's also incredibly affordable, generous of her time and energy, and a warm person to spend time with. Marda made me feel confident & beautiful throughout the whole day. Jen is also fun (they were in the midst of battling with the phone company about a static-y line and I appreciate the banter), and all the regulars of the salon made me feel so at home (they were complimenting me left and right - talk about ego boost!!), which was great for my wedding considering that we only visit the area about 5-6 times per year and I definitely needed the encouragement and familiarity. I felt so incredibly blessed that day! In short - they make you feel like family, deliver an awesome result, and are VERY inexpensive. Thank you Marda!!

We were getting married in Arnold, CA, at the Black Bear Inn, we live 3 hours away in the Bay Area and as much as I love my Bay Area stylist, affording for her to travel those 3 hours, was not in the budget. So, I turned to Yelp and started reading. That is when I read a review by another bride that was recently married at the Black Bear Inn. She was singing the praises of Marda, I felt a kindred spirit with this bride, coupled with her lovely photos, I immediately called Marda. Marda was fantastic right from the get go. We scheduled a trial run for hair and makeup and all was set for the big day. On the wedding day, Marda arrived on schedule and set to work on my aunt, sister, mum and lastly, me. Everyone loved the time they spent in Marda's chair, as she effortlessly chatted away and made everyone look fabulous. Without a doubt, if you are in the area and have any hair or makeup needs, Marda is your stylist. Thank you Marda for making me feel beautiful on my wedding day!

Well, I for one fall into that category. I have been getting facials at A Class Act since I was in high school. For me, facials are a part of my life, like going to the dentist every six months, or getting a yearly physical exam. As a result, my skin is in really great condition. The facials at A Class Act are geared towards your particular skin type and concerns. Highly personalized is a huge thing with me. The salon sells (and uses) Yonka products from France. I love Yonka! The products are so luxurious, reasonably priced and deliver great results. What more could a gal wish for? I would definitely recommend A Class Act to anyone who is in the Arnold area and would like a facial. Tres bon!
