I went in a couple of weeks ago, right before 5. They were vacuuming getting ready to leave when they close at 6. The week before I came before 5 and they were closed. Anyway, I asked to have gel removed and they said okay and offered to redo my gel manicure. It was done so fast and sloppily. I felt bad because they wanted to leave early and they carpool so I tipped my girl $20. I get to the car and look and it was a mess. I had hair in 3 nails, french tip lines all weird, gel on my actual skin, etc. Today 2/21 I come to do my toes and its 4:50 p.m. Again the salon is dark and they're gone. If they don't want to be open until 6 why don't they change the hours? I keep driving the 20 mins here and they're gone.

I did call ahead to schedule an appointment with her, and in addition to my wedding hair/make up consultation, I also asked her for a trim. We then laid down plans to execute my hair and makeup. I was a very laid back bride and gave Marda very little to go on - "Sure, whatever you think will look good.. I kinda want a side updo curly thing with this birdcage veil and uhhh, I want to GLOW golden for my photos" was about the extent of what I communicated to her. I ran late to my appointment ('poor time management' was of course the culprit.. it was my wedding day and needless to say I was running around a lot!) and Marda had literally cleared a block of time for me and was very gracious about my schedule. She set to work on my hair, accommodated both my birdcage veil and my vintage barrette, plus worked around my photographer and my phone calls and my whitening strips, etc. etc. Basically, she rocked. She's also incredibly affordable, generous of her time and energy, and a warm person to spend time with. Marda made me feel confident & beautiful throughout the whole day. Jen is also fun (they were in the midst of battling with the phone company about a static-y line and I appreciate the banter), and all the regulars of the salon made me feel so at home (they were complimenting me left and right - talk about ego boost!!), which was great for my wedding considering that we only visit the area about 5-6 times per year and I definitely needed the encouragement and familiarity.
