Went to get my toes done since it's warming up and sandal weather! I chose the top pedi option because I wanted to get a little T&D after work. It was decent, I enjoyed my massage and the polish job is satisfactory. In my opinion it's a little pricey for what you get, but it was close by and convenient. I've tried going here over and over with the benefit of the doubt, but I'm never thrilled. Treatments are just inconsistent and sloppy. One foot gets scrubbed, the other doesn't. The scrub brush looks like it needs to be thrown out with brown rings around the bristles. Lotion was slathered on in abundance where I still had lots in between my toes after I left. Clear top coat was slapped on in such a rush it was on my skin around my toes. Then, before even getting up out of the chair, the top coat started to dry and making the polish separate and crack. I didn't bother asking to fix it because I'd already lost hope. Tends to also be a coin toss on whether I get an ingrown/infected toenail each time too. When we go in, the employees can be found laying down in the waxing room or in the chairs. read more

Absolutely awful. I hadn't been here in at least two years and unfortunately now remember why. They did such a terrible job with the gel polish, my nails were cut crooked AND the worst part, there was so much gel all over my actual toes! They would not correct it when I asked them to fix the HUGE uneven lumpy clumps of polish and to cover the nail, not the toe around it. She then pretended she didn't speak English and refused to actually FIX the nails that were a really bad mess. So frustrating. I'll start off with I go to my fair share of nail salons because I like the different styles everyone gives. When I came to happy spa I was greeted very quietly to where I didn't hear them, once I sat down my appointment time came. The lady who would be helping me finished her other client, then proceeds to call someone and argue with them for a few minutes, At this point it's about 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment. I sit down and show her what I would like to have done, super simple black with silver ombré on the tips. She said I would have to get a new set for that, so I agreed to do a new set. She then argued with me about not needing a new set and a full with a basic color would be fine this time, to come back next time and she would do it. I asked her if she is able to do the sponge technique and I was just shot down for even asking. She pulled my hand over and filed a nail down to show me "how she couldn't do it." Slapped black paint on the top and drug her tool across trying to blend the polish up. I eventually just told her a simple black polish on a fill would be fine. She rushed through filing off my old nails to the point she cut my cuticle, but said nothing about it. She put very little acrylic on top when she was done. She starts to paint them using really thick coats, puts my hand under the light, pulls it out and another thick coat. Nothing seemed off until I got home and hit my nail on the dresser. The paint completely popped off and it was still gooy and wet underneath. Slowly but sure the tips of my nails lost their "cap" and started to peel off. My pinky nail has lifted near the cuticle. I wanted to call and ask for a refund but they were generally unpleasant to be around. I do not plan on going back. So please save your time and money. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. The lady helping me left previous paint (green) on my nails. She painted over the old color. Which you could clearly see through, on multiple nails. When I mentioned it to her she did not understand what I was saying. Two other techs came over to inspect. The one which I think is the owner came over and she said "that's how your nail is". I told her "no, that is not how my nail is, she left old paint and didn't remove all before painting the new color". then said to her to put another coat over it. She did. But then didn't put another coat on the other fingers. So that nail is clearly darker and you can still see the old color. read more

My first time going here and I had a great experience! I was just a walk-in on a Wednesday about 5pm. One other gal was in there getting a pedi and I asked for a gel manicure. I choose a color and a lady named Linda did my nails very carefully and professionally. She asked what nail shape I wanted, asked if I'd like any designs on them, trimmed my cuticles, and applied like 3 layers of gel polish. After the manicure Linda have my an arm massage and back of neck and shoulders massage which was an added bonus!! I will definitely go back I went in again and got a pedi and mani and was very pleased with the work. I am out of town from Elk Grove visiting family for Christmas, and I had a tiny window frame to get my nails filled and luckily they were open on Xmas eve. They didn't have a matching color to my base acrylic I already had on, so I requested to get a new set. The woman got frustrated that she was going to have to do a take off so she got up and walked away to the back. She was gone for well over 10 mins and the man who works there came over and told me it was going to be fine. He started scraping off my old acrylic then she comes back and took over. She was very rough making me flinch since she was grinding down so much into my nail bed. It was painful and burning. I repeated numerous times that I would love to have a short white ombré tip underneath the glitter ombré. The first nail she did was a full pink and I asked her when she was going to add the white. She told me this is what you want , this is what's in the pic. I had to pull the photo back up and show her that it says for this set you will need white tip (see in first pic). A deep sigh later, she grabs the white and started to do her thing. Ok awesome. Then she grabs this pink that is almost pastel and I said I'm sorry but that is too light for what I want. She said this is what's in the pic. OMG ma'am PLEASE listen to your customer and what she is telling you. This is a service that I am paying for you to perform. Is it too much to ask to ask for what I want, even an inspo? But this was not close to any type of inspo. This lady was older and clearly stubborn. At this point I was over arguing and I wanted out of there but I still had hope that it would turn out somewhat similar. Let her "finish" and the outcome made me want to cry. The shaping is way off, each nail is super lumpy, nails are thicker than a snicker, the glitter job alone is horrendous. I am not happy with the customer service. I ended up paying bc I was so exhausted from her lack of understanding of what I wanted and arguing with me let alone being there for over 2 1/2 hours, I wanted to be out of there. NEVER AGAIN. Rough as hell. They want to use the electric file that grinds your nails down to sand paper instead of taking the time to hand file the gel polish before wrapping each nail to soak. Even too lazy to wrap each nail individually like it should be done to avoid the harsh chemical on your skin. Technician just squirted all over my feet and slapped on a long piece of foil. Then she rushed to tear the foil off instead of a proper soak so the gel can be removed without tearing your nail apart. Then she took the cuticle nippers and proceeded to try and tear the gel off that way because she didn't let it soak! Ruined my nails and cut my skin all up. Hurt like hell. I said ouch and she went further! She even laughs and smiles after you scream. The lady is EVIL!! read more

If I could give it a zero I would.. me and my friend went in on her birthday for a set of acrylics. We showed the tech a picture of a French tip I asked for a light purple French tip and my friend asked for a red French tip. That's not what we got.. We got our nails fully coated in the color he gave me white even though I asked for the purple and I reminded him of the French tip and he confirmed that's what he would be doing. He did the same to my friend and gave her a full coat of red. Not to mention but he got up multiple times to go in his phone in the corner. It also took them so long we came in and waited 2 hours for them to start our nails and we where there for a total of 4. I called to get a soak off on an acrylic set and was told yes they do them for $10 and it takes 10-15 minutes. I went over there and when I sat down she immediately clipped off all the tips of my nails which was painful in itself and then started to rip them off and slide what looked like a letter opener underneath them to rip my nails off. I asked her if they do soak off because my nails were already thin and it was causing me pain and she said "you're fine" and I said again that it was painful and that was why I wanted them soaked off, and she tried very hard to talk me out of it. I had to really push to have them soaked, and when she soaked them once she used the electric file to get the acrylic a little thinner, soaked them again and proceeded to slide the letter opener under my nails again. If I wanted a painful experience and to rip them off I would've done it myself. read more

SLOPPY AND ATTITUDE! My mom, my little sister, and I got pedicures here today and my sister got her nails painted. My mom's toes came out beautifully and she got a nice flower design on her toes that the lady offered to do, after offering to do a free design for my sister. She did not warn my mom that the design for her would cost an extra $5. Which isn't that big of a deal. But, when she did my toes she left them clumpy, especially the big toe. When I showed her and politely asked her if she could fix just the worst one, she let out a big sigh and acted like it was a big deal and started speaking in her native language with a whole bunch of attitude. I very rarely write negative reviews, but I feel that my experience here today warrants it. To be fair, I have gotten my nails done (full acrylic set with gel) here a couple times before and it was fine. Not the best, but not terrible either. Today I opted for pink and white instead. The first red flag is that the woman tried to talk me into painting on the white tip instead of doing the white acrylic. Not a chance. Next she asked me if I like thick or thin white tips and I told her it didn't matter as long as the arch was high since I don't like them to look even slightly straight across. She seemed confused but continued anyway. I'm not sure if she wasn't paying attention when she began using the drummel filer or what was going on, but she proceeded to FILE A HOLE IN MY FINGERNAIL. It was extremely painful and every time I tried to pull my hand back to check on it (especially when she put the drying stuff on the nail before the acrylic and it stung like a B****), she just pulled it back saying we had to go. I was shocked to say the least. When she started to shape the white I asked if she could fix the couple she had done already to make the arch higher and all she said in response was "No more". At this point I was so upset and in such pain that I just wanted to get the appointment over with and go home, but I continued having to ask her to fix problem after problem with my nails. She left about a centimeter on either side of my pinky nail with no acrylic and just bare fingernail and it took me asking three times and saying "no don't just file my fingernail narrower" for her to fix it right. And even after that there are still chunks of acrylic under my pinky that she decided not to file off. Then when she was finally about to put clear coat on, I had to ask her twice to file the acrylic with a finer file because you could still see the giant scratch marks from the rough file. They are still far from perfect (or even decent in my book) and my finger is throbbing where I have a hole in my nail. Because of this and how much I had to walk her through doing my nails, I decided that a tip wasn't appropriate (which I have never done). The girl that rung me up had the audacity to say "no tip?!" When I signed my receipt... really?! How unprofessional. Never going back. Ps: I never saw or heard an autoclave while I was there and all the pedicure tools were sitting in fast food serving baskets on the floor. If you decide to go here, please make sure they at least use clean tools for you. read more

I have been a customer here for years. Not every time has been perfect but there was no reason for me not to come back until yesterday. Per usual, the salon bit off more than they could chew...they sit you down in a chair and leave you halfway done so you can't leave just so they can start other customers as well. This was just the tip of the iceberg. The woman doing my nails I had never seen working there before but to give a hint it was her birthday yesterday...unsure of her name. She asked if I wanted my toenails cut, I said yes but I liked them square. "Okay okay, I do," she said. Once she's done filing, I have rounded toenails. Once again, I tell her I want them square and this time motion with my hand a straight line. Finally this got to the point where she handed me the file to do them myself and when I went to file down my own toenail she snatched it back from me saying "NO NO"....I finally gave up because apparently her english was no good. I lost the shape and my toenails are a lot shorter than my liking but whatever. Still not even the biggest problem. Nail techs are NOT licensed to treat ingrown toenails. This lady starts to cut out my ingrown toenail on my left foot. I say "OW" and pull my foot back. She slaps the top of my foot to try to take the initial pain of her pulling my ingrown toenail back. Cool. That's over. THEN THE LADY DOES MY OTHER FOOT TOO. Mind you, I've dealt with ingrown toenails my entire life and they don't get bad enough to bother me. I woke up this morning with throbbing pains in both of my big toes. They're probably going to get infected especially since they didn't sanitize my station before telling me to sit down at #5. There was someone else's toe tissues still on my tray. My massage chair sounded like it was about to blow up/break down. Halfway through my lady left me to start someone else's pedicure. I waited 10 minutes before I finally said "Excuse me, does someone plan on finishing my pedicure?"...Tony's wife eventually got around to finishing my pedicure. She does a good job for the most part although I didn't appreciate her lying to me and telling me that the other lady didn't know how to do gel. The only reason I came was because my friend sent me a snapchat of that exact same lady doing her gel pedicure about an hour before. Happy nails has officially lost my service. read more

I have given them way too many chances. Sometimes its worth it because of the massage but even those have been subpar the last couple times. Its nice because its walk-in but plan on being there 2+ hours and depending on who you get will be the quality of the work. My pedicure looked as though a 5 year old did it. I posted pics of light pink toes/nails. I would have done it myself but its hard reaching that far pregnant. My gel mani looks like there is a week growth and uneven.
