This Target has awful service. We bought an ironing board but had to return it in the same hour we bought it! It was a terrible item. As my husband returned it and asked for a different brand or whatever else they have, they were too lazy to check their inventory on their computer! "I think that's the only kind we've got". We checked on their website and there are four other brands! They didnt even offer to check "at the back". Awful service! Don't bother going here if you're getting appliances/furniture. read more

It's Thursday January 5, 2017. I have been trying to call the store since 7pm, No answer?!?!?! I get in my car, drive 20 mins only to find out the phone hasn't worked in 4 days. This is the WORST target I have ever been to. I am not just saying within Philadelphia...im talking within the U.S. The cleanliness of the department store is actually solid. The food section and the aisles are kept fairly clean...even though they lack products. HOWEVER, lets talk about the employees. Some of the employees are decent but others...wow. What is the hiring procedure at Target?? "Recite your first and last name...ok your hired." I went in to purchase a box fan because of intense heat in my apartment and instead of aiding me in the direction of one...this loud mouth employee told me "Where are you going?!" "Hurry up because we are about to close!" "You do not have time to search!" It took everything in me not to respond with choice words but I did not want to stoop to that childish level. I am not sure if she had an appt to get her eyebrows done(which needed much attention) or what but that was uncalled for. I will never go there again. The only one I will be going to from now on is the one in Abington. Much better service and the selections are plentiful as well. Get employees that actually want to do their job. read more

While the store itself is fine (see other reviews) Beware the Pharmacy! My husband's employer recently changed insurance so I had to transfer my prescriptions from Walgreens to Target. When I went to pick them up I was told by the pharmacist that due to personal policy they would not fill, return or transfer ANY scheduled medication and essentially were holding them hostage and leaving me without my doctor prescribed medications for over two weeks! I was finally able to get new ones and send them into the mail order who's turn around is usually another 11 days. So I'm keeping my finger's crossed that they make it back! read more

Not too terrible, but nothing special. The lines are usually long, but it's never too crowded. Good selection of stock too.

Had terrible experience with dumb girl who answered the phone. Called to inquire about the PS4 the circular was advertising and she came back to tell me they don't have any PS1's, I said I asked about a PS4 and she actually told me with an attitude "that's not what she said and put me back on hold". While on hold I said to someone else she has poor customer service as she should've said my fault, I'll go check on that. As soon as I said that, this rude chick who shouldn't be answering phones in a retail store said to me " I didn't say my fault cuz it wasn't my fault and no we don't have PS4's." Well she got cussed out and hung up on. Dummy, what major retailer still sells PS1, none that I know of so why on earth would I call Target to inquire about one. She just heard what she wanted to hear. Tip: Don't call store first to inquire about a purchase, you might get an ignoramus on the other line! read more

Since last summer I have been harassed, repeatedly, by a young black man at this Philadelphia Target store. Sadly, even after repeated complaints about him, the management had done absolutely nothing in order to stop him; he continues to show up at that store almost every evening, looking for trouble. He usually brings along a few friends, and together they conduct what they call a "Senior Scavengers' Hunt," during which they stalk senior female shoppers. Although he is a teenager, he looks much older. He is tall, muscular, and mean looking. The first time I met him, he was accompanied by three white teenagers. That morning I was standing at the back of the store, minding my own business. He approach me and asked me to dance with him. I felt uncomfortable and backed away from him. He followed me. By now he stood mere inches from me. His friends, who seemed to be around 14-16 years old, were giggling. I, however, didn't find it to be funny. I asked him to back off, and threatened to call the police. He and his friends began laughing and joking about the "hunt." When I took out my cell phone, they ran away. I then walked toward a couple of associates, who stood nearby, but weren't aware of what was going on, and reported these teens' conduct. The two women said that they knew about the leader of the pack, and that he was not allowed in the store. According to them, he was reported to have stalked senior females at that store in the past. One of the associates immediately called the store security. As the teens ran toward the store's exit, the security guys caught up with them and stopped them. I approached them and gave them a piece of my mind. The young black teenager, the leader, tried to prevent the security guy from talking to me by hovering over him with his massive upper body, bullying him. The three other kids looked frightened. After the security guys gave the teenagers a stern warning, they left the store. The store manager scanned my items at the front desk, and then whisked me and my packages away. I felt dehumanized and insulted. Even though I promised to myself never to set foot at that place again, I stopped by while running errands in the neighborhood a few months later. That same young man, along with a male friend, were there, hunting for prey. As soon as they noticed me they began chasing me. The faster I walked, the faster they followed me. I then ran toward an associate, and asked her for help. I told her that these guys had stalked me in the past, and that they scared me. As soon as they saw her, they walked away, laughing. They didn't even try to leave the store. I left the store in disgust without buying a thing. Two weeks ago I badly needed a few household items, so I stopped by the Target store, again. I took my time shopping, when I saw this same guy standing behind a low clothes stand, accompanied by two young black females. As soon as they saw me they began harassing and taunting me, and laughing at me. I walked away from them as fast as I could, paid for my merchandise, and left the store. Luckily, I am in a very good physical shape, so I was able to get away from them. I shudder to think of what could have happened if an 80 year old woman, who is a bit slow, a bit arthritic, maybe confused and a little hard of hearing, would have been stalked by this 300 pound bully and his cronies. An old person could have easily died of a heart attack for less than that. As much as I love Target, I will never set foot at that store again. read more

I am SO annoyed with target online right now, so I don't mean to aim my hostility at this location per se. I recently ordered $700 in gift cards that I was assured would arrive in time for my holiday party. I called the (800) number to be sure that the cards would arrive in time and double checked that the order could be canceled if the cards did not arrive in time. After getting assurances regarding my concerns from the phone personel, I proceeded with placing my order. Once the order was processed, the shipping date confirmed my fear, the cards were not going to arrive in time for my holiday party. I phoned target's (800), and cancelled my order. I then went to the store and purchased the cards in person. A few days later, I received an email telling me that my cards purchased originally (the ones I had ordered and canceled) had just shipped out. I was furious. Not only had I already called to cancel the order, I have now spent COUNTLESS hours on the phone and in the store trying to get them to take the damn cards off my account!!!!! THEY screwed this entire order up and have annoyed me to no end making me chase my tail to correct their own internal error! My major regret was making this purchase on my target credit card. Had I done it on a non-target affiliated card, I could have simply disputed the charge. Now, I'm stuck dealing with the Target Credit Card Company AS WELL AS TARGET STORE (two separate issues) to get this clusterf#ck cleared up! read more
