I had a super bad experience today with he security. When I came in the store I walked in-front of him with my daughter pushing the cart , went around the store to look for Christmas decorations that we can buy and added them to her shopping cart since we weren't going for a lot of stuff . Went to self check out and paid for all my items . Headed to the restroom after since my daughter wanted to use it. Came out and was walking to the exit . When the security pulls up and ask me for the recipe. I gave it to him and he started to raise his voice at me telling me I didn't purchase the shopping cart . I was so confused about what was going on and asked him wait what are you talking about ? And he said the shopping cart you didn't pay for it ? And I told him are accusing of stealing this shopping cart that I walked in with ? Of course it's not in the recipe because I paid for it a long time ago . I told him to go look at his camera. And I got my stuff and left . Put my stuff away called my brother to send me the picture of the recipe since he bought the cart and went up to the manager to talk to him. He said he was sorry that they were looking for someone else and that the security got confuse that he was just trying to do his job. If he was really doing his job you just don't go up to someone and accuse them of stealing . Because if you are actually doing your job you will have your prof of me stealing the shopping cart . It was so embarrassing what that security put me threw ! I even showed the manager the recipe from the purchase of this toy cart . And it was more embarrassing accusing me of stealing when my daughter was their . I always make sure everything I buy is paid for and for him to come at me that way is so embarrassing. I will never be shopping at target anymore . You guys lost a valuable costumer . You guys make sure that if you buy a target shopping toy cart that you don't walk with it at target or you going to get accuse of stealing it. I came her for an online order pick up. The outside of the establishment looked nice and unlike normal targets near me. There just so happened to be a random guy playing a mini harp? in front of the store so it made the experience walking from parking lot to the inside of the store quite pleasant. Reminded me of walking though an outdoor shopping plaza. When I entered, the pick up area was located to the right hand side together with the returns section. I was waiting in the online order pick up. Another associate was helping the lady in the returns line and after the transaction cleared, she asked where the online order pick up was. He directed her to the front of the line of the online pick up area. I was a bit bothered but not bothered enough to say anything. After assisting the lady who was directed to cut, the female sales associate apologized that the other associated directed her to cut in front of me. I appreciated her taking note of that and acknowledging their mistake. It meant a lot. The pick up process was easy: give your ID, she looks up your on on the tablet they have and they retrieve your order. My dress that was ordered even came in a shopping bag. I don't think I was charged for that but it was nice that they offered one. The store was clean, nicely kept and had items in stock. I would say the organization of things in certain areas were average while other stocked item areas excelled. Overall, it was a good experience and I would not mind coming back. *Bathroom was averagely maintained. Well ventilated but the floors could have been cleaner. Thought the hourly record check of the bathroom was initialed, they could have done a better job. read more

One of the better Targets in my opinion. Staff is here is very friendly, which you don't often see at other Target locations. Very clean and roomy as well. The cashiers don't look miserable here which is a huge plus. They also have self checkout stations. Plenty of parking outside and it's well lit. read more

About a week or two ago they were having someone from cooperate come over so they torn down every isle and redid it. Employees standing around, talking to each other laughing, giving me a stank face while I tried to look for back to school clothes for my kids, had every item on the floor while they organized the shelf's. I love this Target. It's my neighborhood store, and I use the drive up ordering all the time. I understand that there is sometimes a wait, but usually the staff is friendly, diligent and showing a good sense of urgency. That is until today. My husband and I stopped by at around 5:5o to get our order. I used the app like I'm supposed to to notify of my arrival and we parked in the marked spots and checked in. We saw a team member come out with a cart of bags and we watched as Jeremiah walked around aimlessly handing over orders one at a time at a glacial pace. He could care less that people were waiting, he moved around as if without a care in the world. After watching this for five minutes another team member came out with a cart full of bags and she immediately started going to cars and handing out her orders. We had our windows open because it's a nice day and wanted some air since we had already been sitting there a while. As soon as Jeremiah saw his team mate he stopped handing out his orders to follow her and chat with her. He was standing right next to our car (we were in space 1) telling her "this joke isn't funny anymore. I want to be done with this and go home" and just processed to lazily follow her around filling her orders while his orders still sat in the cart (ours was in that cart, it turned out). Once his team mate was done she was laughing at him since he was doing nothing and asked about his orders and he was clueless. He asked her if she had our order and she said no, she went thru his cart and said "it's right here! You have it!l" and he just laughed and said "oh well I'm tired and I just want to be done" I was about to get out of the car and head inside to talk to a leader when he came to our open window, asked for our code, then asked where we wanted the order (it's on the screen right below the code) and then said he couldn't open that door so could we move. My husband was so angry that he just took the bags thru the window so we could leave. To add insult to injury, we got a message on our app while we were waiting apologizing for the delay because of "high demand". Not high demand, just Jeremiah who had no sense of urgency and just wanted to go home. I've worked retail, I know what it's like. But I also know what customer service is, and he apparently does not. And also, maybe watch what you say around open windows where customers can here you. Tried to call the store to speak with a leader, but no one answers the phone. Definitely a good coaching opportunity for young Jeremiah. read more

I love target, I really do but I won't be shopping at my local target in Whittier again. After using the self check out, I was approached and asked by a team member if I paid for my son's Lego set that he was holding. I told them that I had in fact paid for it and showed them my receipt. I asked why she wanted to check it and was told another team member asked her to. I don't appreciate being accused of stealing, especially in front of my young child, especially when I could provide my proof of purchase. This is just gross. It's 9:31pm I come in because I figured someone probably just forgot to hit complete on the order it should be ready.nope. I was told it was not ready wouldn't be ready until tomorrow that I can cancel the order and buy it that it would show up as a double charge for few days. I was at this target with my friends the other night and I bought a yogurt and decided to go through self checkout, as I was leaving an employee rudely asked to check my zipped up bag which I did not open once until self checkout to put my receipt in. I opened it with no hesitation and all she saw was my makeup bag and my perfume along with the receipt and just walked away, I asked her "Did you think I was stealing?" and she said "Well you guys passed by the bottles and you're friend over there is waiting for you, why is he waiting on you guys?". Mind you we did not stop by anywhere let alone had enough time to open my bag and fit a bottle inside, the friend that was waiting outside wanted to leave because he had no interest in buying anything. Went specifically to purchase small bag of lego marvel mini figures for my 8 year old son, when I got to the register the cashier told me they could not be sold. Why put an item out for customers if you can't sell it? My wife asked to speak to a manager so some guy named Aaron who said his title is front of store came to talk to us. My wife asked why couldn't we purchase them and he said "we just cant." She asked if there was anything they could do and he says to her " I don't how else to put we can't sell them." The attempt to leave this mecca of consumerism without exceeding the amount of $100 dollars is a declaration of restraint and self-control. I like to just meander through the aisles in an exploratory mindset. Attempting to discover new and exciting items as if they are treasures of far off lands. Need hairspray? They got 30 varieties. Need condoms? They have a box of 24. Need a t-shirt? Only $10.99. Need to kill a few hours? It's a mini-vacation. I sometimes just bullshit myself into thinking I MUST return. "Oh crap. Nothing against the Target but the employees in the Target's Starbucks. There I am early in the morning to get my hands on one of the newly released Stanley x Starbucks cups, 3rd in line. A longer line begins to form behind me and we were very eager to get these. Once they let us inside, the first person in line asks if they have the cups and the employee taking orders says no, they didn't get any. A few minutes go by and another girl asks if they have the cups and is begging for one to which the worker at the counter slyly tries to ring one up for her as if we, who had been waiting in line, wouldn't see this. Then when we ask why she lied and is giving this girl a cup, she just stands there with nothing to say, deer in headlights. This Target is located in Whittier close to World Market and Panera Brea with a JC Penny in it. This place has a lot of parking and the lot is pretty big. While inside Target it is like any other one except maybe a little bit larger. They have pretty good deals for DVD's/ Blu Rays and music also if you still buy CD's, which I do. If you download the Cartwheel Target app you can see whats on sale that week and to be able to shop accordingly. I wouldn't say this is the best but it is pretty alright I feel like most of the time the lines to buy your stuff is pretty ok. read more

It's one of my favorites because I've found things in stock here that have been out of stock in other Target stores. Has a good sized Starbucks with seating.
