If there's anything to know about me, I will find a Target and go there for absolutely no reason at all. This location has a ton of parking, Starbucks and food options, pharmacy and has been one of the cleaner stores I have been to in Utah. Even the bathrooms have been tidy. I have usually found most things I've needed and wanted here. If there were any outages, it was simply because they were sold out of an item. All stores have that issue when something is in high demand. Service has been polite - Target staff and Starbucks. Returning items here have been easy, no issue. Drive up is a blessing on my lunch and have not waited longer than 5 minutes to have them bring out my items. Since this store is in a shopping center plaza, there are several options to eat and shop here if you're out and about doing just that. Movie theater at the end of the plaza and less than 5 minutes from the 201 freeway. read more

Seems like a new Target. The store also was smaller than most Targets I shop at. But friendly and virtuous and very clean.

The reason I would go to Target (particularly this one) is location convenience. However, the employees aren't friendly and respectful. None have asked me if I needed help finding anything. The grocery area is pretty small. There are items that are on sale but you have to be good at comparing prices to other places or otherwise you're not saving much money. Lastly, Self checkout only accepts cards so if you only have cash you might have to wait in a long line because they're stingy with cashiers. read more

There is a Target in West Valley, indeed. It's not even the third-closest Target to me, but I'm almost certain that I visited here before almost anyone else. No, I wasn't camped outside before the grand opening--I actually hung out at this Target before it ever opened. It's a long story full of construction history, but long story short, I got to see this before it opened. Now that it's open (for several years now, really) it's still a nice store. They had plenty of real estate, so obviously it's much larger than that teeny SLC store. I like the location well enough, though as I mentioned it's just too far from me to be a regular haunt. Target, in general, does a lot of things well. Lately I've been digging on their school supply/home office stuff. The home office section has always been dicey in the way of supplies, but things like journals or paper are okay. They're definitely more well-suited to furnish your office than stock the drawers. But for nicer, non-industrial stuff it's been a fun stop as of late. read more

Stopped in for lettuce. There isn't any. Also they would only stock single servings of it...so no just give up and go somewhere else. Second different target location that is not stocked and doesn't seem to have any intention of getting stocked. I cannot tell you enough what a breath of fresh air this brand-spanking-new Target is. Have you ever been to the West Valley Walmart? I kid you not when I say I literally saw a woman have a nervous breakdown in the soda aisle - pacing up and down the aisle frantically as she grabbed her head and chanted, "There are too many people in this store. There are too many people in this store. There are too many people in this store." And that about sums up how I feel any time I've had to go there. Enter Target. *Breathe* From the moment you enter the huge, non-crowded parking lot that has a very easy flow of traffic and no congestion or worries of accident, you know this Target has a treat in store for you. This location is about a mile away, near the Winco, but it might as well be a private island. The several times I've been here, I feel as if I'm one of only 20 people in the store. The employees ask if I need help and wait at the registers to help me. They even politely approached a couple of rowdy teens and instead of reprimanding them or asking them to calm down, they simply asked if there was anything the teens needed help with...which was much more effective in getting them to calm their behavior. I've never heard one crying child here, although I'm sure as the store ramps in popularity, so will the screaming. This location also has a "fresh grocery" section that is about half the size of a Super Target, but still entirely efficient to find what you need in a hurry. The selection is actually much more extensive than I thought it would be. I was curious about a lot of things with this new store, so I inspected the dressing rooms and walked the perimeter - clean from top to bottom and very well organized with great prices. You get what you expect in a clean, friendly way - nothing over-the-top spectacular, but the giddiness that courses through my veins realizing I no longer have to go to Walmart to grab something during work breaks IS over-the-top spectacular. read more

I have not been lied to many times by any store manager. However at this location I was lied to multiple times with three employees talking just to me. A walk through of my first visit to this location. I walk in the door it is clean and well organized. I am greated by a cheerful woman who is on the far register while she dose not have anyone in line. "At this point im thinking sweet this place is looking great and has happy employees.) So i go get a few items and go to the lady who said hello to me I asked her if she could price match an item for me from one of the listed competitors (game stop) she informed me she couldn't but they could at customer service. I say ok thank you and walk over. First I ask if they can price match multiple items if they are different and she replies yes so I run over and grab a few more items i noticed were on sale and come back. She smiles and says who are you price matching? I reply with game stop... We don't price match them. Oh really it says you do online right here. (Hands her my phone) She then says oh I didn't know that. She then tells me I can't use my phone to display ads... I then say thats strange it says here you can can i see a written copy of the policy? She says I'll ask my coworker she walks over whispers to her then they both come back telling me they can't do it. So I asked to talk to a manger about it. The manger shows up just before she is ending her shift... She asks what the situation is and her employees give this explanation that I am being rude and won't listen to them. I explain my stide and she grabs the printed version of the policy. I point out all of the things I had said. She goes your right but it also says the manger can refuse matches... And you guessed it after just wanting to spoken truthfully about the policy she just refuses because I was rude to her employees... I never once raised my voice and was calmly asking questions (at customer service it is kind of their job). In ending thanks to the lady on the register you were sweet but I will never be going here again after being lied to over and over and treated like I was the worst customer of their lives. Picked up an insulated soda coozy from the clearance section at this target and went to check out. Normally $10 but was on clearance for $3. Not wildly discounted from the normal price mind you. There were multiple of these same coozy's discounted at this same price. The girl at check out refused to honor the clearance price because they were marked incorrectly. So silly how the girl acted like it was coming out of her paycheck if i got the incorrectly discounted price. Thought that if something was marked incorrectly that they would have honored that because that is not the customers fault but whatever. Still love target read more

Unbelievably RUDE employees at this West Valley Target!!! Don't touch anything at this store unless you intend to purchase it. Heaven forbid you pick up an item to look at it... "First you buy it, then you can return it if you don't want it", is what was yelled at me. Who doesn't love Target? The people here are beautiful and beauty may be a different definition for each of you but beauty to me, simply put is not walking into a store with your pajamas on...( cough* WALMART.) Target groceries are more expensive but I'll gladly pay the price to avoid the creepers I come across at Walmart. I can appreciate the cleanliness here and everything is always in order and if there is anything out of stock, they order it for you for free and knock off 10 percent. Sweet! I bought a couple end table lamps and they look so nice and add such a clean and simple touch to my living room. I have yet to buy any more furniture here other than lamps but the quality has yet to upset me. Don't wear red and tan khakis here or you'll get weird looks and people will assume you work here. I walked up to someone who looked like they were reorganizing towels and after asking him where the outdoor furniture was he awkwardly looked at me and quietly said -" I don't work here..." Lol. After being totally jaded by shopping at the WalMart down the road that's literally 1 minute from my house, Target is like a literal breath of fresh air. I don't know if you've smelled the air in WalMart recently... Anyway, you've all been to a Target. They're clean, spacious, less pushy people trying to get around you. Sure they're a little more expensive, but that's because they're selling better products! I think I may have to drive the additional 4 minutes and just come here instead. Good thing there is target here. Clean and tidy. Workers are great but except for this one worker that announces she is on break and she refuses to assist me. I think they should change their shirt or something when on break and walking around the store with name tags on. She even said sorry that she couldnt help me on her break time and it would be a waste of her time to assist someone when she is off the clock... and that i should ask someone else. Weird. The Pharmacy employees at this location treat us like royalty. The store staff is also always eager to help and every single one of them say hello no matter what they're doing. The customer service staff have always accepted my returns with a smile. There's always an open handicap parking space for us when we pull in. The only three things that I would fault this location for, is that there is often not enough check out lanes open, and the handicap carts are the worst out of Winco, Walmart, and target. They attach these ridiculous bumpers on the corners, that extend so far, it's almost impossible not to hit something when you're trying to turn into an aisle, etc. Lastly, all of the employees must really dislike getting stuck with dressing-room duty, because they all always seem a little overtaxed, and it reflects in their ability to be friendly and helpful sometimes. Aside from these things, you could almost call this a model location for the Target franchise, and especially the extraordinary pharmacy people. It's no surprise this Target is always so quiet in comparison to it's nearby rival. That kinda makes it nice, the store is always clean, and fitting room staff is helpful. I was looking for a certain dress where on target.com it stated I could find it in my size at the West Valley City location. After looking and looking, the young lady offered to call other stores and no luck there either. I really appreciated how she went above and beyond to help me track down this item. My favorite target by far, its newer which is nice but they always have what I am needing at a reasonable price, I love the grocery section, it is well stocked with again, good prices. Fresh foods too for quick lunches or snacks in a bind. Never been to keen on the staff, they always seem to duck down and aisle and avoid customers at all costs. But if you know what you're there for and dont need assistance you should have a really good experience. The starbucks isnt good in there though. read more

Love this Target. Before they built this store, I had to drive 20 minutes to get to a Target. Now I have this one, and it's clean and nice and carries great stuff. The employees are pretty great too. I walked into Target and quickly printed a wedding registry so I could locate the perfect gift. I liked how the print out had the aisle number of the items listed, making locating what I wanted quick and easy. That being said, I was not greeted by one employee on the sales floor. I encountered at least 6 of them. It seems like they avoid you if possible, even after making direct eye contact. Customer service is what makes a good store a great store. This is my favorite target by far! Always nice to visit and find some great deals. I just moved out and didn't know where to find some of the stuff I needed for my kitchen, so I asked an associate (I don't remember her name, sorry) where to find the ice cube trays and she looked them up and had me on my way. It was really nice. I also bought some salt and pepper shakers and my cashier, Patrick, was very kind to wrap them up in paper for me. Was given coupons by the West Valley Target for problems we had with 2 separate purchases. We paid for items that never made it in the bag twice. We had to drive back to Target (11 miles) to get either the items(s) we paid for or our money back on two separate occasions. We have two coupons called "With our apologies". The coupon states the $3.00 off is a token of their appreciation for our patience. Please accept this coupon valid for any purchase at any Target store. We decided to give Target another try. Imagine our surprise that Target would not accept their own "sorry for the inconvenience" coupons. The coupons state "no expiration date". The explanation was that corporate no longer gave out the coupons. That apparently means they don't accept the coupons either-even though the wording on the coupon states otherwise. Guess they weren't all that sorry for the inconvenience. That's about as good as their apology-none. Guess we will no longer shop at any Target. They do not care about their customers. read more
