Recently I have gotten into milling around stores like this. Not sure what has come over me but I…read morekind of like it. I like looking through items and thinking what if I had this. I have also come to the realization that you don't always need to buy new when you are looking for unique. I really enjoyed this place because they have something for just about everybody in here. What one person may find tacky another will enjoy immensely. The downstairs is setup nicely. You can easily maneuver through the area and see everything they have on display. Don't think that this is all that they have in store, venture upstairs. Upstairs takes a little more time to go through. But it is still a great area to go through. I was drawn to this map of the city, of course I was too late as it was sold. Would make a great wall piece. There were also an abundance of globes that were dated, but kind of awesome. I also eyed in on a coat rack, but had to talk myself out of it as I really didn't need it. Don't mind the noise when you are upstairs as this sits underneath Arsenal Bowling. At least don't think that there was another floor to this and that they were moving furniture around, as my friend did. Really amusing and confusing to the employee when we were in here.

I have been there 3 times in the past 6 weeks and purchased something each time (a piece of…read moreoriginal art, an MCM umbrella stand and a mid century ceramic table lamp). I would purchase more if I had a need for more furniture because the selections is incredible and the prices are great. The staff is very friendly and it is great that they have a very nice and friendly dog. I will be going back every few weeks to check new items and love the fact that the website is updated with new pieces they get in. A great store that adds so much to the neighborhood.

Not wanting to drive to Ohio or Philadelphia to purchase one, I happened to call The Treasure Shack to see whether they had any in stock. I spoke with the gentleman who owns the Shack and he informed that he did, indeed, have a couple original Hoosiers in his store. He described them both to me in great detail and, based upon that conversation, I decided to drive out to Bridgeville and check them out. The moment I walked into this store, I knew I would be going home with more than a cupboard. The Shack is a well-curated little antique store that sells everything from mid-century furniture to (gorgeous) Imperial carnival glass to creepy little trinkets from the 1940s and 50s (i.e., wobbly clown toys). It's well organized, nicely decorated, and smells kinda like grandma's kitchen (in a good way). I ended up purchasing a Hoosier, as well as some glassware, after perusing the store and chatting with the owners for a couple minutes. (Side note: The owners are quite personable and very knowledgeable. They seemed more than happy to answer my random questions.) Even if you don't have something specific in mind, I recommend taking a couple minutes to browse the store if you're in the area. The selection is quite varied and the prices are more than reasonable. Needless to say, I definitely wasn't disappointed with my Treasure Shack experience, and the 25 minute drive to Bridgeville was worth every second.

When it comes to quality vs price, quality is always my choice. From the time I entered the store I…read moremet with and worked with Nathan who understood my needs for a new dining table and chairs and went over options. Everything they sell here is natural wood, no veneers, particle board, or whatever. Many of the items are imported from countries like Malaysia but they also have US made Amish wood furniture as well. There is no pressure to buy and you are always guaranteed the lowest possible price excluding sale and clearance merchandise. The highest prices are Amish made followed by a Canadian brand. I was interested at first in a drop leaf table and Nathan told me both the pros and cons of owning one of those. What's nice is that depending upon the manufacturer you choose you can mix and match coordinating chairs to your like as well as buy as many as you need as opposed to an entire set. They work within your budget and while everything is pricey you are getting what you pay for. I was told up front that from the time I make a selection it could take anywhere from 6-8 weeks to have it sent and then they arrange for you to either pick it up or pay a standard delivery and installation fee. If you are still not ready to take delivery when it arrives then they will hold the merchandise in store for a set amount of time when you can get it. What's nice about the delivery fee is that it is valid for one year from the time of your 1st purchase if you later decide you want to purchase more furniture. Nathan did state that although it is solid wood, it is subject to the same wear and tear you would expect from any wood over time. He gave me the measurements of the table sets I was considering so I could measure them in my kitchen. In addition you can choose whatever wood combination mix for the item you are buying. Whether you want oak, maple, or cherry, there are swatches for each product as well as upholstery choices if the model you select has room for a chair cushion. They do offer 12 month interest free financing with a credit card company should you choose to pay in installments. I like the fact that I could take pictures to see my potentials at home as well as "test" out the various chair options with the models I was considering. Tables and chairs now come in different sizes for those who like counter height vs traditional as well as high legged chairs and benches. I was very pleased with my visit and having gleaned enough information to make an informed decision I will return here shortly to purchase the dining set that best meets my needs. Room Concepts is family owned and operated and has only 2 locations. The other showroom is in Wexford, PA but you can get an idea of what they carry online. They offer a 1 year warranty on structural components. Furniture is an investment and when I purchase, it is something that I want to last for a long time.

I ended up here when I was searching online for a specific type of wire planter for a project and they looked to have it. They did, And so much more. This place is enormous. I think it would be difficult to not find the housewares item you are looking for here. From seasonal decor like Valentines throw pillows to storage bins, which I also bought for a few of my Christmas items, to an enormous selection of fake plants, furniture both big and small, and just about everything in between, they are really stocked with large, clearly organized sections for each type of home need. I thought the prices were very fair, and they will now be top of mind next time I'm looking for several types of home items at the same time. I can think of a number of occasions where I have made three or four stops running errands for a variety of items at different places when I could have likely found all here. They seem reasonably well staffed with people available to help, and when I was checking out service couldn't have been better, with the cashier making sure I got signed up for their free rewards program on the spot.

The proceeds from the sales are used to build and repair housing for low-income families in the Pittsburgh area. Most recently, I emailed ReStore to ask if they would accept my shelving unit, coat rack, light fixtures, space heater, flower pots, hose hangers, and other items. I was required to send photos of the items to show the style and condition. Two days later, an employee replied that they would accept my items, and he scheduled a pickup from my house for several days later.
