Nice Target store. We have been thinking about getting some new lamps for the living room and decided to see what they had in stock. Their prices for lamps are not bad and the selection is also very good for a discount department store. I find their quality a bit better than other discount stores like Walmart, but maybe not as good as getting something at a HomeGoods that has been marked down. Still a nice place to shop for home accessories and decor. read more

I wanted to like this Target. Great location, clean, but lately many items have not been restocked. It's 11/10 and the majority of the Christmas decorations are still in boxes in the back. I've bought all my new decorations at other stores thanks to their delay but there are several items showing up as in stock and they're in the store (employee told me) but they just haven't gotten them out yet. This is most of the Targets in the area. What are you waiting for? No one's going to need to by the time you get round to putting it out. If help is an issue just leave the boxes out. The customers can help themselves and then your management doesn't need to give customers excuse after excuse about why none of the Christmas items are available. Let me start by saying I usually like this target. It's usually well stocked and clean. However, tonight I went to target and decided to purchase some plant-based dips to eat with my vegetables as a snack. Dip was on sale. So I purchased two. I got home with the dip, proceeded to have a little bit as a snack with some celery sticks and as I look down at the package noticed that it said used by December 11, 2021. I went to the fridge got the other package of dip - also expired. That one said used by December 31. Today is January 2. This is after going to the Dartmouth store a few days earlier and not purchasing any of the dip because every single package I picked up was already expired. Make sure you check the expiration dates on all food you purchase at target. This happened to me with non-perishable items as well in the past. read more

They provide a curbside service or store pick up which is a great help right? I went in today to pick my order which consisted of crib sheets for a baby gift. Hmmmm what I picked up was a bag stuffed with cribs sheets that looked like they were dragged on the floor! Really!!!! Whoever put this order together needs a little help. So back to the store I go to return this item and go pick out crib sheets myself. So where is the convenience in this????? Target is Target for the most part. I would rather come here and pay a little more than to subject myself to Wally World. They usually have exactly what I am looking for, whether it be something from electronics, video games, pet supplies, pet food, cleaning goods, stationary, greeting cards or health & beauty supplies... chances are they will have it! My son and I were looking for highly collectible Funko items which were Target exclusive Funkos. The electronics team member Travis lued to us about their release date. He purposely wanted to keep these desirable Funko merchandise off the floor until he could either purchase them himself or contact a friend who is probably a reseller. There has been a lot of talk in the Funko community that since the last Swansea MA Target store manager retired the new manager turns a blind eye to these backdoor schemes. Was told by supervisor Jenny the matter would be looked into, employee Travis made her look like a fool. NOTHING was done! Funko collectors beware, Swansea Target is the worst! When I heard that this Target was opening up I was ecstatic..yes I said ecstatic! Being that I live in Bristol the closest one to me was Seekonk. And honestly I hate Seekonk. All the congestion on Route 6 just aggravates the you know what out of me. And while the Target in Seekonk is okay, it's not one of the better ones. And I am not a fan of Walmart so the Seekonk Target was where I was going..until this past summer! First off, like a lot of newer Targets this location has a Starbucks..not a deal breaker for most, but for me this was just an added bonus! The store has a very modern look and when you walk in, you definitely feel positive energy of wanting to be there and shop. It's always clean and the staff no matter if it's the cashiers and floor clerks they are always friendly and helpful. It has an entire grocery section including a freezer and produce section. This is a great location in Swansea and it's in the same plaza with the newly opened Marshalls, Famous Footwear, Five Guys and I think a mattress store. The parking lot is definitely big enough for the consumers it attracts. Call me a tad nutty, but I love coming here! read more

You know that service that stores have now where you purchased the item online and then pick it up in-store for easy, fast service? I did that with this Target, only it probably would have taken me 1/4 the time to get my item if I'd just gone there, found it and then checked out myself. Seriously, it was more of a hassle than anything, and I was entirely annoyed. I got there and left my husband and 6-month-old in the idling car while I ran in. Little did I know I'd be made to wait for nearly 20 minutes as three Target employees gabbed behind the Customer Service desk while I just stood there getting more and more irritated. Not only were they ignoring me, but they were sloppy and really unprofessional, too. When I was finally acknowledged, it was to tell me that I really didn't want them to help me, anyway and that someone would be there shortly to get me what I needed. When that someone did appear, a women with a large return of obviously used children's clothing blatantly cut me in line and no one said anything; they just went ahead and took forever to accommodate her. When it was my turn, they went searching for my item that was supposed to be awaiting my arrival. Then, it took three people to process the transaction that was supposed to be completed prior to my arrival. Needless to say, I will not be returning nor will I be using their pick-up service again. This does not reflect the target, this is for the starbucks. This is honestly the worst starbucks I've been to. The coffee is ALWAYS luke warm - literally every time... and not very good. The only way to get your coffee a few degrees warmer is to ask for it extra hot-that makes it about drinking temperature, but don't expect your venti to be hot by the time you get halfway through. They also don't have any of the sandwiches and very minimal snacks/ pastries Also, no separate entrance, you have to walk through the target. The 2 stars are only because there is finally an alternative to dunkin donuts in swansea. (although I've been going there lately- coffee is as expected, half the price, and consistently hot!) read more

Customer services and sales staff are kind and always helpful when looking for something that is hard to find. This place has given me a Target addiction. The location is super convenient and it has so much of what I need, I find myself stopping in once (or twice..) a week to pick up a few things. I can even do most of my grocery shopping here, including less generic items like almond butter and quinoa. I would go elsewhere for meats and produce, however. It is like Walmart in that it has a little bit of everything, but I find Target to be much cleaner and they offer better products. Their store brand items are very comparable to the name brands. I have the Target red card, which gives you 5% back on everything. If you add that onto how fair their prices are anyway, you get a pretty good deal. read more

I was at the target store camera shopping. There were two cameras I was looking at, a Nikon and also a Canon. I decided to purchase the Nikon camera along with the Nikon zoom lens. When I opened the bag at home I noticed I did the Nikon camera but the TNN telephoto lens. On my receipt I paid for the Nikon camera in the Nikon telephoto lens. I returned to the storeI was given a hard time in returning the Canon lens because they said I did not have a receipt. I explain to them what happened and was told by a manager," you should have checked your bag to make sure that our associates is putting the proper items into your bag." They took the return of the Canon lens but at the lowest sale price of the item. Then they charged me full retail price for the Nikon lens. When I originally purchased the camera and lens the lens was on sale for $50 off. The manager refused to honor the sale price. read more

I usually have great things to say about my experiences while shopping at target, unfortunately yesterday changed all of that. My 3 year old son suffers from GERD so any time he gets upset and cries it does not matter the length of time, he vomits. So directly across from customer service my son began to throw a tantrum because he was told he could not get a toy. He began to scream and cry before we could even attempt to calm him or leave he started to throw up. I told my husband to inform customer service as I sat there and held my sons blanket out for him in hopes to prevent more of a mess, while trying to calm him. No one came to help, offer paper towels, or even put up cones. I looked to customer service to see if anyone was coming over with a cone at least to prevent someone from stepping in his vomit until it could be cleaned and to my shock no one came, instead I had many people giving me dirty looks. I get it, covid is scary. But common decency and kindness go a long way. I didn't expect much maybe paper towels a bag for his mask and blanket or at least to be informed that someone was on the way with a cone so I could take my son outside. Instead I got dirty looks from personnel and customers. Shame on all of you..... I then had to leave said vomit on the floor so I could take my son outside to calm him and attempt to clean ourselves off to get him home. To anyone who may have ended up walking in it I'm sorry, target did not step up and offer any assistance. I did what I needed for my son, I'm so disappointed in the lack of empathy of care that we received. No my son does not have covid, he's just a little boy who can't control his temper and struggles with GERD. read more

Another solid Target location that just opened this past summer. It's located in vicinity of the Swansea mall, plenty of parking. The store is well maintained, organized, and spotless! The staff is friendly and extremely helpful in all departments. Hi, I want to leave a comment about the excellent service that I receive from the people at Starbucks in your store. The coffee and food that I come for is always great and a pleasant experience for me. I have been drinking Starbucks coffee for 20 years now. I buy beans every month and use a french press . I don't understand why the staff at your store does a better job compared to other Starbuck stores I visit at Seekonk and Providence. There is more attention to detail and a very friendly staff that ensures that I get exactly how I want my coffee and the flavors of additives. I now buy more things @Target there now and have a credit card there. It is a great idea to have such a quality brand of coffee and the added convenience involved with your store. I originally went to purchase a glass screen protector but after it was put on crooked by an employee the technology section seemed to be no help we went over to customer service where Bradley was extremely helpful he assisted immediately and made 0 hassle over this already stressful situation. For box stores Target is certainly the head of the pack. Thus far I've bought men's apparel, a couple items from the sports section, and have tried their grocery section. The grocery section is what gives them 4-out-of-5 stars. The price points are very curious (i.e. $0.24 per bana vs. having scales so people can weigh them). Also, you have to really go looking for anything that isn't "Frankenfood". I do realize that I'm in a department store and not a farmer's cooperative but it seemed interesting that they don't have produce scales or a larger organic section. I say that because around the corner at the Swansea Mall they just broke ground for a new Super WalMart. Competition is about to get stiff. The Starbucks is pretty fantastic now that I think of it, the speed of the cashiers is nothing to sneeze at, and the pharmacy staff. I've heard criticism of large store chains but that's decent job growth, creation and the town of Swansea is probably loving the property taxes. read more

I use to LOVE target.. Unfortunately I do not come here anymore. Store opened up at 8am, so I came in at 8:10 to buy dog food with coupons and this blonde 50ish year old cashier gave me such a hard time, as I stepped into her lane.. She rolled her eyes and sighed, I told her I had coupons and again sighed like the coupons were coming out of her pockets; making rude comments saying my coupons were fake, and that she will not take them. I left and call the manufactured coupon and they said that was very much real. I went back to a different register, now this blonde lady around her 50's came back again to this cashier that I was at and shouted "your back? those coupons are fake" and I replied saying how I called and they said it was real. I mean I had cut it out from red plum! Thankfully, the manager came and corrected her. I will not come back here ever again. I have now brought myself and my coupons to Walmart which they accepted and actually with great customer service. read more
