Leslie is a dream to work with; her and the entire staff were always so lovely, kind and professional. Leslie and Pablo the project manager stayed in constant contact with me regarding the project and any and every issue was immediately addressed or resolved. Each individual sub contractor that was sent out to the house were absolutely the most friendly, respectful, punctual and skilled artisans in their craft. The electricians were super sweet and always punctual and efficient with their time. The painters were so nice and friendly and incredibly hard workers. They showed up early and literally worked non stop all day each day that they came. Pablo, the head carpenter and all of his guys were so talented and really worked hard to produce their best work! I'll admit I'm a very detailed oriented person to a fault and they really managed to exceed our expectations!! Overall I'd have to say for someone who is a bit picky and expects the best quality of product and craftsmanship and yet appreciates a great value, I'd 100% give Modern Design and Remodeling a full recommendation and stamp of approval! Each time I visited, Sam or Mike were happy to help even though we weren't ready to pull the trigger on a purchase. Building a home is a stressful process and every interaction is critical to the psyche. Thank you to Terra team for your patience with us as we visited and revisited. They also followed through with their promises to call us when a new batch of quartzite arrived. We were pleasantly surprised to get a text from Sam after the latest shipment arrived at the port and got a play-by-play of where the container was. We even got a text of what the slabs looked like as to not waste another trip! The selection of slabs is on point. We don't need a dizzying array of selections, just quality stones with reasonable prices, and Terra delivers in this department. We are very picky folks because we wanted a marble-look without the marble maintenance. Somehow Terra managed to find the quarry that had the slabs and we are happy campers!

I was looking into getting new countertops in kitchen, reached out to Milestone and explained to…read morethem the type of material I was looking for, which was quartz with grey veining and repeated mentioned I wanted veins going the same direction through out kitchen and no visible seams, I was assured they could do the job. Day of install came and one of the panels was going vertically and everything else horizontally. Reached out to John and after a little back and forth he agreed to replace the panel at no extra charge. When day of replacement came it was only a crew of 2 guys, they struggled a little to move stove and were concerned about gas line as they were unsure how to close it, the guy in charge took them outside and told them to be quiet, stop complaining and get it done. 3 months after replacement section was installed and final payment was made my countertops cracked! I reached out again via email to John, several people from his team came out to look at countertops a couple of times and I was told they'd replace them once they had the same material leftover from another job. That was over a year ago! I repeatedly reached out to John and James who now no longer works with John and I was just given more excuses. I consulted with another company and I was told the reason for counters cracking was most likely bad installation since there were no signs. We also paid for cabinet lighting and lights went out a day after installing after having guy come out multiple times we gave up. I have recently filed a complaint with the BBB, countertops should have come with some type of warranty for at least a year.

The meeting went well and the person that showed up at my house was nice and polite. The problem was that I felt as if I had to chase the person in order to get my bid. They stated that they had to go out of town and I would get the bid when they returned. So I received the bid 7 days after my appointment and 5 days after all the other bids. The price of the concrete was a fair price but I decided to go with another company because of the time frame I needed. Perhaps next project I can use this company.
