This Target is huge, but I can never seem to find that one last thing on my list. Last visit it was sour cream, there are shelves and shelves of yogurt, but no sour cream? I feel like the shelves don't get re-stocked as quickly or as much here as they do at some of the other Targets in the area. However, I did notice that they just installed a Starbucks where the food stand was, so that is exciting. Now you can caffeinate while you hunt for the ever elusive last item on your shopping list. read more

To put it simply... this target is the worst! It is a constant mess. There isn't a single person available that can help with anything. There isn't anyone at the cash registers and you have to scan things yourself, so where is the staff if they aren't at the registers?? You'd think cleaning up the store and helping costumers.. then why is this target such a dump if staff is too busy to help at the register? If you do approach staff about a product they don't if they have it in stock and refuse to find out for you. So do not go to this target. read more

Going to Target is always awful but this place isn't any worse than the usual locations. They're attached to the Springfield Mall so parking can be a nightmare. You can enter Target through the mall so that's a plus if you're already inside. It's two stories so pay attention to what's on what floor. I wouldn't make a special trip to go here but I'd go back here if I was in the area and needed something....though I'd rather just shop online. read more

Location wise very close to home. Service has gone downhill when it comes to the checkout. Cashiers barely speak to you. Ring up items incorrectly and appear like robots. Wish they had more cashiers at peak times. Check your receipt before leaving. Prices aren't horrible. read more

Big target, two story. Big inventory, but not a big jeans selection. Most employees were okay. Starbucks upstairs. Never seen a Target in a mall! read more

Target - Department Stores Near Me - Springfield, Virginia

Well, this target saved me today. I had to go to Target anyway but as a senior, I had a bathroom crisis. The bathroom was clean and fully functional. Even had disability carts available even though the battery ran out. Rather a weak battery than a nonfunctioning bathroom. After the crisis, I found every product I needed. Standard stuff mostly. I treasure my target card and I am grateful as heck for their service. read more

Two floors of various departments- we needed some travel basics- medicine & a couple of toothbrushes. I wanted leggings for the dress I was going to be wearing the next day in 27 degree weather and hubby wanted to check for a jacket. This Target seemed overly complicated- the clothing sections had various places with the same sort of product. So leggings were in three places, coats were in five different places and I went looking for gloves... never found them in the Women's section- I went to mens, circled twice and ASKED an employee who also had to look twice. Just no rhyme or reason for product placement. I did get almost everything I wanted. Hubby didn't find a jacket- he hates hoods and there wasn't a single mens jacket or coat without a hood. They get an extra star because I had never seen a cart escalator/conveyor belt before. I'm sheltered- don't judge me, but I thought it was cool. I feel old or like a little kid because that made the store worthy of an extra star. We did self checkout- I don't think they had a register open with a cashier upstairs... But- whatever, we got almost everything we needed- but we worked for it. Got my steps in this store. read more

There is never anyone at the checkouts. Over the last few months, since I have moved to town, I have always had to do self checkout while the people that work there just stand around talking. It is really annoying and difficult to unload a full grocery cart of stuff while also trying to get out my credit card and keep my daughter from getting fussy. No offense but I don't get paid to work there. I understand self checkout if you only have a few things but when you have no choice that's just bad business. You're better then this target. I love your store normally but this is not a good one. read more

COVID-19 review: Ok, Target has owned my bank account for years and it still does through this pandemic. Delivery is very quick during these challenging times and, IDK about you, but curbside pick-up, where have you been all my life? It works from the Target app. You let the store know when you're on your way. When you are there and parked in the designated spot, tap "You're here!" And someone will come out (with a mask on) and ask you to verify your order, plop the items in your trunk, and you are on your way. I. Love. It. This store also practices pandemic safety, and it is the first thing I look for when deciding where to shop. During the peak of the pandemic, they have limited people in the store and require that you wear a mask (still do). read more

I go to the upper level of Target I pick out some stuff to buy, about a hundred bucks worth of stuff. go to cash registers and there is no cashiers to check me out. So I guess I can't shop there anymore, I don't do self checkout. If I wanted self checkout I would go to Amazon or product website. which I will be going to. I'll just go to Target to find out what I want and then go to other sources to purchase read more

I actually think this is a great Target. It's clean and organized. The two stories allows for more space and I like the setup. It's great having the cart escalators that take the shopping cart up and down for you. Prices are reasonable and there is even fresh produce. read more

This Target confuses me because I'm not used to shopping on two floors. I usually go to the one off of King street and the one near Seven Corners. So, I have to re-learn and read the signage above for the various departments. I think the best part of shopping here is that you can easily park on the top near Silver Diner and if you want to buy snacks before a movie, they have plenty of options. Yes, I'm one of those who refuses to pay $4.00 for some candy and/or a bottle of water. I think their women's clothing department seems a little unorganized and their displays aren't up to par like the other stores. Some of the dresses were not organized correctly by pattern so you can't seem to find your size in its right place. I think they need more fixtures that help display the merchandise in a better light so it would look more appealing and you can better coordinate with other pieces. Also, I've picked up the wrong size because they put the wrong merchandise on the hanger which annoyed me because when I tried the dress on, it felt a little snug. So, I looked at the tag and it was definitely a size smaller. Thanks a lot, made me think I gained weight. The cashiers here are pretty fast and efficient, so checkout is never a problem. I'll definitely be back, but can you please make work on 'merchandising' your clothing so it would look more appealing in the women's department. Also, perhaps get self checkout for us 'on the go' folks:) read more

Aaaargh! Once more I'm reminded why I hate this Target. Its always been my target of complete last resort (or a quick run in since I was already down here) but I can't actually ever remember buying a single thing here. Its just depressing. The store is HUGE and yet selection can be bizarrely lacking. Most recently I came buy to pick up a few Christmas decoration / wrapping items. Oh just don't bother. The entire seasonal section consisted of a few shelves jammed with trees in boxes - no actual welcoming holiday display that would invite someone to buy something - a paltry few boxes of lights and 4-5 boxes of wrapping paper rolls. I can't even call that a selection. A friendly helpful employee tried to get someone on the radio to see if there was holiday stuff located anywhere else in the store, but repeated calls for assistance went completely unanswered. He tried to apologize that they'd been hit hard and were waiting for restocking but it was clear just looking at the store fixtures that no attempt had been made to even have a Christmas section. Once again I leave here empty handed - they should just demolished the place along with the mall itself. read more

I normally love target but this one is cramped and the two story layout leaves much to be desired. They lack many products of a normal larger target, and the parking lot is an absolute disaster. The worst thing is that the cashier team lead was so rude to us when we cited an incorrect price on an item. Other cashiers have not been nice as well. This seems to have a rude culture compared to most Targets. read more

My fiancé and I bought our first Christmas tree together (which we decorated at our apartment) this year from the Target in Springfield, VA! They had run out of some of their trees, but we got a pretty good deal for a 6.5 foot tree for $20! I'm ethically against real Christmas trees (I hate that hundreds of thousands of them are chopped up and go to waste each year for this occasion) and am more on board with artificial trees, so it was great. We also found a ton of great Christmas decorations at this store as well. They have a full collection of ornaments, holiday lights (we got 6 boxes of those rainbow lights!), etc. Their ornaments were very cute and inexpensive! They had figurine ornaments, standard ball ornaments, shiny ornaments, colorful ornaments, letter ornaments, and even a "Our First Christmas Together" ornament! In short, we found everything we needed from this Target and thensome! Great place for holiday decorations in particular :) read more

I'd sure hope someone from this Target reads these reviews. It seems to me you all always have a skeleton staff all the time. When you have people in the morning, they can't speak English. The people I do see working look miserable. I bet the managers don't treat them right or else they won't be that way. They are always clustered especially on certain mornings in the food area. They have crap all over to the point where I couldn't get my cart through. I swear during my hour long shopping trip; I saw those workers in food area work on the same vehicle of perishables items during my entire shopping trip. I know those foods are out of temperature & they still put it on the shelves. My guess is that management sucks and they need a complete management overhaul if they want their employees to do well. At least the Springfield Town Center is open. read more

I've always thought this Target was pretty fun due to the novelty of the shopping cart escalator since it's 2 levels, but I discovered something even more fun - the hidden Starbucks upstairs. I'm not sure how long it's been there but as soon as I spotted it, I made a bee line for it and it made my shopping experience even more leisurely than I was already planning, which is smart on Target's part because I end up with 4 more things than I ever plan on getting. The last time I was there, I returned a couple of items and it was easy as can be because I had a receipt, but I felt bad for the lady in front of me because the guy helping her had to repeat everything and ask her for the spelling of everything and at some point got side tracked asking his coworker something. Thank goodness she was the only one in front of me, otherwise I would have needed my coffee to be spiked with something very hard. The parking situation is crazy right now with the construction, especially at the entrance by the Macy's. Perhaps park on the other side to save yourself some gray hairs although you'll end up entering on the 2nd floor. read more

I traveled 30 minutes to visit this Target and while this isn't the most visually appealing Target I am pleased with my visit. They were the only ones that carried the Andis Ceramic hair dryer that I was looking for - mind you there are about 7 other Targets that are within the same time frame or closer to my home. I called to make sure the product was in stock as the website stated. It was in stock but was priced at $25 including tax which is not what the price was listed as online. I was advised by the store operator to go to guest services and get a price match when I came into the store. I am not the type of customer that likes to make a fuss, but I decided to give it a shot. The young man at guest services, Michael D, was very pleasant. I work with customers in another capacity so I'm sure he deals with all kinds of crap to his face daily. I liked that he maintained a positive attitude with each customer. When it was my turn he greeted me and I advised that the price was different online than it was in store as I showed him the Target website on my phone with the product. He said OK! rang up my product and said "your total is $18.02." Really? That's it? My checkout time was less than 2 minutes of that. Easy peasy! No hassle! What great service! I was definitely hesitant because I had never done a price match and really don't like to fuss but Michael D was quick and efficient and didn't make me feel bad at all! Great job hiring him Target-Springfield and thanks for having my product :) read more

This is the worst, most filthiest Target I have been to in the Nova area. Every time I've had to visit the bathroom, I nearly vomit in disgust as to how neglected and unsanitary the ladies room (can't imagine what the men see) is. If it's not toilets with urine on the floor and seats, toilet paper is limited and once there was blood in one of the sinks. They are not sourcing the bathrooms enough nor do they care about the safety and health of their customers, not to mention all the young children that come to this location. If I didn't hate the lines at Walmart so much, I would be going there instead because they seem to have higher standards for their facilities. Step it up Target! We don't pay a premium for some of your stuff just to be cheated and neglected in this important area. read more

Rude employees. I was looking through the beauty section with my younger sister and she took a lipstick to take a look at the color. The lipstick was opened way before us touching it but when a male employee saw that she was holding an opened item. He rudely took/yanked it away from her hand and said he needed to throw it away. We politely explained that we did not open it but he pointedly walked away and gossiped with two other male employees nearby. The store was unorganized and boxes were everywhere, yet, these three employees had so much free time to stare at us as if we would steal something from the store. We ignored their stares for a while and staying at the same spot, looking through other stuffs and they still didn't stop staring, murmuring and pointing as us. I wish they would be more polite and asked us nicely to not open any product or to give it back to him. They made us feel unwelcomed and discriminated. Hopefully Target can train their employees how to be professional at work. I prefer walking into stores knowing that I would not be treated like trash. read more

After a few emails to their corporate office and receiving excuses for the poor communication of employees ("we hire a diverse team that represents our community") and no contact from the store manager over a year later, I have seen some improvement efforts. Someone the other night asked me if I needed help finding anything! And I saw the same girl helping another customer with some furniture, and express that if the guest needed help she would be happy to assist! Friendly, available team members now seem to be the majority rather than sparsely available. I suppose they had to be strategic about their hiring and training after creating such a bad reputation for themselves and now having the traffic of the mall to make them competitive? And from time to time I overhear team captains talking on the radio about placement of team members and creating better check out experiences for guests. I like it better now, but they still have work to do. Clutter, lack of inventory, and dirty bathrooms still seem to be holding them back. You can do it Springfield Target! I believe in you! read more

Typical Target store except that it's two stories big. I thought the special escalator used to move your cart up to the next floor was cool. I haven't seen one of those before. I was in town for Thanksgiving and came here on Black Friday. The thing that I have to ding this store on is the customer service. I know they were overwhelmed with the day and volume of people. I can only imagine what time the employees had to come to work that day as well. When I was checking out, I asked the sales clerk for a gift receipt. She seemed to get annoyed with having to click the button to print the extra receipts. This was a bummer because the other employees I talked to that day had been helpful. read more

This place is just miserable. Aisles look half-empty, there's trash everywhere, and they have no staff. Something that most Target enthusiasts should already know: the bathrooms are horrible, the employees are hit or miss, and the registers are never fully manned. It comes with the territory, and we should all be used to this by now. All previously mentioned factors aside, the reason this Target is getting one star is actually because of the pharmacy. I've always loved Target's pharmacy, especially in comparison to the chaotic disaster that is CVS Pharmacy. Last week, I was informed that Target is switching to CVS pharmacy. I wanted to give it a chance...but my first experience with this "improvement" consisted of the following: 1. 10 minute wait in line compared to my usual 2. 2. A sudden change in my recurring medication, that I was not informed of until I arrived and the lady tried to hand me a package I'd never seen before, because CVS "does not carry my brand" 3. Waiting 30 extra minutes for my prescription after previously mentioned change was "approved" 4. A combination of 2 brands for one prescription because they "ran out of the generic" This was all after I called earlier that day to make sure everything was ready to be picked up since I was in a hurry to get home after a long day. I ended up waiting 45 minutes for something that should have taken 10 minutes max. After years of using Target's pharmacy, I will be switching as soon as possible. read more

I have continuously been disappointed with this store over the past two years. This store in particular is consistently filthy. Tonight's experience was no different with closed bathrooms on the lower level, no TP in the other bathrooms (which were disgusting), with grease spots on the elevator buttons, chipped paint, poor inventory, very few carts on the lower level entrance AND THE COUPE DE GRACE was the pane of broken glass I found in my cart tonight while trying to check out! We are a loyal TARGET (from MN) family, and KNOW how a TARGET store should be run. This store does NO CREDIT to the TARGET brand, though the two ladies from Eritrea who often work the checkout are always pleasant. I hope someone can get this store on the right track! read more

This store seems to be unorganized, but it gets the job done. I was able to find my Greek yogurt, wash cloths, detergent, and a belt here. It took me a little longer, but once I understood that this store has no particular flow, I was able to find what I needed amid the chaos. Been Going To This Target Ever Since They Opened Before They Shut Down The Springfield Mall Aka Springfield Town Center. Great Location & Late Hours Especially Great For Basically Anything & Everything You Need From Food, Clothes , Detergent & Everything In Between. Especially Love The Addition Of Self Checkout Which Makes Check Out Quicker When You On The Run! My Only Downfall At This Location Is The Online Ordering, I've Placed Multiple Orders & Each Time I Get Confirmation Email It's Ready, I Expect A Quick In & Out Turns Into Chaos Of Long Waits, Last Time I Called To Check Since Email Seems To Be Not That Efficient. I Was Placed On Hold & For 44 Mins & Ended Up Driving To The Store. Went In Line While On Hold On The Phone Still...Ridiculous. So Just Don't Do Store Pick Up...Always A Problem. Pretty solid experience here. Tidy, if older, bathroom. Staff were helpful, but didn't bother me unless I looked lost - then I was offered a hand. When I asked about a few products, I was easily directed where to go - and they called me ma'am! The two levels thing could be confusing potentially, but they have a pretty good selection and multiple checkouts on both levels, so it's a bit more convenient. They had a lot of good deals for purchasing two products and getting a $5 gift card back, which meant I was pretty happy! In all, above average, but also to be expected of any Target store. You won't find any crazy surprises here, but you also won't likely walk away feeling bad, either. read more

I had really bad experiences in this Target store in springfield. Especially with one of the manager Jody. I purchased few items online, pick up in store and paid with paypal. 1st of all, instead of giving me $23.99 back for what i paid, one of team member, her name is Holly offered me $11.99 for it even i showed for proof of purchase. She called the manager- Jody and Jody said she needed an actual email for barcode return. I have to ask my husband since i used his email for this purchase. Again, when i showed Jody actual email and THERE WAS NO BARCODE in the email. She lied and she realy tried to help me out or even explained the store policy to me. Both Jody and Holly are RACISTED. I would undertand the policy and happy get a store credit if they explain it CLEARLY. And i didnt understand why i couldnt get my money back with the email receipt and the tag of the shirt still attach?!? Dissapointed, mad, and will never ever shop at target again. I've been to a lot of Target stores and the Springfield Town center location is by far the worst. I'm giving it 2 stars because there is a Starbucks in this store, otherwise it would get 1. Merchandise is unmarked, the store is messy and employees are not helpful. I tried to use my cartwheel app on a purchase and was told by the cashier that it wouldn't work. When I pointed out that there was nothing wrong with the app she tried to call her manager over but she was too busy getting coffee to help us. After arguing with her for sometime I decided to leave my purchases and go to a different target before the end of the day. This Target must do something to keep the customers they have or it will continue to decline and that would be a shame. read more

First of all, holy cow -- they have a cart escalator. That was the positive. The layout between the two floors is kind of confusing compared to one floor ones, and they only had two registers open with crazy lines. A girl came up front and grabbed me out of the line (which made the guy in front of me who was two back pretty upset) and waited on me, so it wasn't that bad. But for 6 o'clock? You need more registers open. They also have a lot of empty space on the shelves and what has merchandise was a bit messy. This is not one of the better Target stores I've been to. read more

My biggest complaint is that they do not follow the basic common sense when bagging your items. I have thrown my clothes with raw meat, veggies with bleach, you just name it...and it's not an isolated incident. ALL of them are the same way. I started bagging my own groceries. Otherwise, the store is decent, returns always easy and people are helpful in answering your questions. It's the cashiers that I have an issue with. read more

It is a waste of time to go to this Target store. This Target location is close to my home, but it is not worth the short drive. Ever since I moved to Springfield, I have tried to give this store a chance. It is dirty and unorganized. When I have run in to get something that I need, they do not have it. A few weeks ago, I ran in to buy size 12 month pjs, well.... They had maybe 1 pair that was left over from winter. Got back in my car and drove to Potomac yards Target, where I found plenty of pjs. Last week ran there for Pampers cruisers, since they are running a deal on baby stuff. There was one case of cruisers in the wrong size. Whenever I walk into this store, it is always disappointing. read more
