Two-level store attached to the mall. Makes for a convenient stop for everyday essential items without having to go elsewhere after the mall. However, better signage that is visible and well marked would be appreciated in here. Like maybe as soon as you walk in from the mall? I had to wonder around and figure out the department I was looking for was on the opposite floor. Finally found a directory in the middle of the store near the elevators/escalators. Would have been great to know that and be able to head there instead of aimlessly navigating the floorplan for a while. I found that this location was lacking on a lot. Lacking on stock for one. A good amount of the shelves were empty or near empty with product. It is also lacking on space. It is hard to browse when you are constantly having to say excuse me or excuse somebody to get by. If it wasn't for the convenience of the location, I doubt this particular store would be open long as a standalone store. Best thing here, allowing you to go from one floor to the next. read more

The manager Tim is the worst customer service representative and really hates woman. Today, he made a gigantic deal and scene today about how "rebate checks" are only supoosed to be used once every few weeks. He shamed me for trying to use more than one $5 coupon at one visit to target. Yes you heard me, $5 coupon. Not $50, not $500 but $5. I have been to 3 other targets that allowed me to do multiple transactions with the rebate coupons. Mind you, I am buying $54 Enfamil containers of formula. But the man is most likely a woman hater and kept insisting that I should not be doing it and the other targets should not be allowing me to use multiple transactions for the formula. So this woman hater is telling me, my child who drinks 10 little cans or 5 big cans of Enfamil formula a month, I should space out my coupons every couple of weeks. That's so hilarious. Then why would Enfamil send 15 coupons that expire within a few months of receiving them. He would not let up, until I said I'm just trying to feed my child. I have never seen such a horrible customer service representative in my life. Not sure who he paid to become manager of this location. Rest assured, I will be mentioning this to all my friends and family to avoid this location as much as possible. What crappy customer service, disrespect towards woman and buying customers. This Target location is about the same as any other, but I noticed that they have fewer grocery items. I have shopped here for the most basic clothing, like socks and underwear. I think that there was a time some years ago when I purchased a sweater from here. More often than not though, I will come here for snacks and drinks. The prices here are very competitve with the big box home good stores, and it is very convenient as well. Another cool thing about this store is the cafe located inside. All of the employees with whom I've interracted with have also been helpful and nice. read more

This Target is not on my regular pattern of shopping. Since we were in the area, we decided to check it out. The layout was different from other Targets. It is on two floors. The cart escalator & regular escalators were not working. Some categories had just a few choices (pajamas, lingeries, purses). There weren't employees on the floor, except by the registers. The store is pushing self checkout. The personal touch is gone. I'm not sure how this location stays in business, except maybe for the pharmacy. read more

Tis a shame it's located at Springfield Mall. Oh my apologies Springfield Town Center. You can name any mall what you like, and this one has some kind employees. If a video game isn't easy to find, it's quite often here for some reason. My guess is mall parking, and Franconia isn't as nice as it used to be. Yet for day time shopping and the like, it works if properly prepared. This store is definitely a good size. I also like how it is organized. You won't have to waste time looking around. That for the "Five Minute Man" is an advantage. Yet the parking situation can be unique. Also Frontier Drive, and being close to the "mixing bowl" can be a headache. She closed it 3 minutes before the mall closed...which was irritating. It was irritating because I work in the mall and I had to walk outside and enter through the trash area. - There's a lady who stands by the entrance and offers everyone hand sanitizer, which was nice. I walked into this location this evening to exchange 2 boxes of diapers that my baby can no longer use that I was gifted at my baby shower and I was turned away. I came one day right when they opened and was disgusted by the outside, shopping carts everywhere and the trash cans overflowing (I was parked on the parking lot for the second floor). This is the target you go to if you just want to browse, nothing was where it was supposed to be but if you look long enough and price check enough items you can find some good sale items. I use Target mainly for pickups since I live close and use the app it saves a lot of time and headache with parking. Reading the other reviews I was a little surprised. I only use pickup really though so that may be the difference. I really like how generally the pick up is very fast. Sometimes you have a longer wait, but it still beats the normal shopping experience. I like the apps new option for a replacement item before you check out. It can be frustrating with out of stock items but it's a pretty busy store and I can usually find something that will work. I generally try to do returns when it's not busy, so I don't have a wait really. I am a Target junkie so I often have pick ups at multiple locations, but overall Springfield has the best service. read more

I made an online order this week for pick up. The experience went well except for the employee shoving the groceries through the passenger window as my daughter displayed the pick up code. Target at Springfield Town Center (Springfield Mall if you grew up in Springfield) is crowded, dirty, poorly stocked and has had several unsafe incidents occur on its premises. I don't know what has gone wrong at this store, but it needs to be addressed and soon. If you need to go to Target, go to the Hybla Valley sore on Route 1 or Skyline or any other Target store. I have priced match at this location before, I asked this lady if she could do a price match for me and she told me to show her the website that I was going to price match from. I showed her and she told me that that was a picture, I told her no, this is the official website, I even refreshed the page for her and she insisted that it was a picture, I pulled my Target app and I showed her that they had priced matched the same exact item at this exact location before, she told me no, that I was "not understanding", and that she couldn't help me. This is an OK Target. This is not a Target location I would or have gone to with a Target specfic mission. I prefer the Targets at Mosaic and on Route 50 and those are the ones I visit purposefully but if I happen to be at Springfield Mall / Town Center and need something from Target or just want to look over some of the deals there is nothing wrong with this option. This location reminds me more of a K-Mart and less of how I think of Target. The floor plan is less organized and there is a messiness about it. This is the spot I discovered the Target brand cough syrup which is a good product; frankly it works better than the more expensive brand name syrup. ((How to shop at Target for dummies COVID-19 addition)) The toilet paper was sold out within 5 minutes of opening. With the way people are shopping**cough cough..hoarding crap it's almost impossible to find a pack of anything. I was super relieved when I saw that Target had quite a few essentials in stock (Clorox wipes, toilet paper etc). I use public transportation and walk so I ended up arriving 30 minutes before they open. There are already 2 people there. By the time 7:55 hits there are about 30 people gathered around the door. Following cdc recommendations I stay away from the crowd. They finally open the doors at 8am and people start to walk through and of course the first few block the entire hall walking side by side with their carts reeking of privilege and entitlement. To avoid getting stuck behind these passive aggressive pricks I maneuver through the clothing to get to the aisle I need. They only put out 18 pack Angel Soft. None of the "in stock" they quoted online is there ‍. So I go ahead and grab two packs. Then the same pricks who were blocking the hall and acting like they owned the place yelled you can't buy 2 packs. I ignore him and go ask an employee to find out where the wipes are only to be told they don't have any. Fine! Then he mumbles something and I ask him to speak up and some mouthy bitch yells "take that mask off and stop acting stupid" .The only virus in this store is the shitty people in it and no amount of toilet paper will fix that. I tried to explain to the employee that I hadn't been able to get toilet paper in almost a month but to no avail I could only get one pack. Problem is half of the people are coming to shop multiple times a week and getting there before everyone else early in the morning. They don't care that people show up every day in groups before the store even opens and get to grab a pack of toilet paper when they already have plenty at home. If you're going to implement a rule for people that you can only buy one pack per shopper you should limit the daily shoppers who come there every freaking day to buy a pack. People like me who can only afford to go shopping for house essentials twice a month cannot compete with these people who have the time and money to shop every single day. They are the ones who are hoarding and causing respectable people to suffer. Just something to consider. My main advice DONT GO THERE but if you must go: get there early, skip the cart so you can move around quicker. Be prepared for petty hostility from strangers. read more

Color strange but I like this Target more than the one nearest me (Skyline) although not as much as the next closest (Potomac Yard). Although it's two floors, the layout is simple- grocery and women's on 1; everything else on 2. I've never visited the area just for this Target but always as an afterthought since it's attached to the mall. I've always parked in the garage near JCP so I can't speak to parking. They had more of a selection of swim suits here than my local, although I'd already purchased one. Baby clothes also had a wider selection and I bought a cute outfit I saw at Skyline that was now on clearance. I'll continue to visit when I go to the mall but have no plans to make a special trip for this particular Target. read more

I was thinking of giving this dump a solid two for location and decided against it. It's Sunday evening. The trash cans outside with the Target logo are literally stuffed and spewing garbage into the ground. The carts are so backed up I had to take a couple pics because they are blocking the parking lot row from sheer volume. Inside the store its skimpy merchandise combined with ONE human check out and ONE human running the self check outs and he is barely coherent and present. I have abandoned so many carts here due to. I check out staff. I'm not even sure why I come here at all. It's definitely not for competitive prices. Advice: Staff your store. I did not care for this Target at all. The entrance was a mess. The workers didn't even acknowledge us and were just laughing to themselves. I thought half of them were customers waiting in line for check out. The layout was also odd, as it was 2 floors and split up. Not their fault, but the signage was not obvious as to what was on the 1st and 2nd floor so we had to go searching. It didn't seem to be well stocked, or have as many options as your normal Target. I went into this store today and it was my 4th attempt at finding doggy ice cream for My dog's bday. The first 3 stores I went to said they had it in stock, but didn't and the most any of the employees did was point me in a direction saying "If it's not there, we don't have it." I'm upset that I didn't look at her name tag (I was too worried about keeping an eye on my son and trying to figure out where to find this ice cream), but I asked a lady to help me find it, and she spent a solid 10/15 minutes helping me look before asking someone to look for it in the back. He found it and she made sure to check in with me to make sure I got it once he came back out. It's doesn't seem like a huge deal to most people, but this year will most likely be the last year we get to celebrate Yogi's birthday, as he's getting older and his quality of life is depleting at a rapid rate. With everything going on, I wanted to make sure he got his usual birthday cake and ice cream. I needed today to work for my boys, because our time to create memories with our whole little family isn't going to last much longer. I hope she sees this. This is the worst Target in Fairfax County! It is also one of the new locations. They appear innovated with their cart escalators and 2 story shopping BUT that is it. There are 2 sets of cashiers(both floors) but no one is ever working the registers. There might be one open register on each floor with LINES of people. This is unacceptable for a Target. The shelves are either disheveled or missing product. I always see tons of shirts( employees) but they are just milling around like useless robots. I know this is not standard operating procedures because I shop at other locations. On the plus side... At least there is other shopping in this mall. read more
