Target has gone way downhill. The merchandise is still good, but the customer service is sorely lacking and there are never enough registers open. I say that, but then every time I have been there the store is almost empty. There are far better places to shop that have a quicker check-out and actual sales people that can answer questions. Ran inside at 9:00 pm to do some quick shopping. Went to self check out. Checked out my items. $605. But my receipt did not print properly, i.e., not dark enough and half of the receipt was illegible. Problem: attendant who was supposed to be monitoring self check out was "checking out" a customer at another register - a customer who was in the self check out line but did not want to self check out. In other words, she deserted her post. So ... after standing around looking for help for 5+ minutes, I headed to customer service. They paged a manager. 17 minutes later ... I am handed a new receipt. Problem #2: no apology for wasting my time. No apology for the clerk deserting her post. Nothing. I went to leave but turned around and said "what no apology or anything?" - only then did he say something. But as I was heading for the door ... 22 minutes in arrears I did hear them complaining about me ... like I was the problem. Lol. I have boycotted Target before. If I could give 0 stars I would! Walked in the store to the back to talk with team members in electronics to ask about price matching an item! Was told to go to guest service to verify which was ok. Greeted Dazsha at guest service regarding the issue and she sent me walking back to electronics to tell them to bring the items that were to be price matched up to guest service. As a supervisor/GSTL I would have used the communication tools that I was taught in orientation to prevent the guest from walking back and forth causing them to be frustrated! I worked at Target for 5 years while in college, and this one was a deal breaker! Fix it! One bad apple ruins the bunch! Cashier Dayja was very un-welcoming, not only did she not make me feel welcome she seemed to have an issue with "latinos". Target: The answer for anyone who hates all that is Wal-Mart. Yes Wal-Mart is cheaper. Yes you do save money. However, I just can't support a company like Wal-Mart. But it's not like Target is uber expensive. It's still a discount store. Living in a city like Houston where everything is spread out, you need one-stop shopping stores. Except if you live inside the loop of course. At Super Target, I can get groceries, gift wrap, DVDs, toaster, toys, and camping gear without having to go to Kroger, Hallmark, Best buy, Sears, Toys R Us, and Academy. That's a lot of driving, a lot of gas, and a migraine at the end of the day because I question the driving abilities of some drivers. I can say that because I used to be a defensive driving instructor. I don't like this Super T as much as I like the one in Sugar Land. I have no idea why I feel like that. Same store, same stuff, and actually this Target has nicer employees whereas Sugar Land's Target employees go to Dulles High School and I get to hear the latest and hottest gossip because they all talk to each other while they're checking out customers. Seems that way. But it is what it is. I probably did that when I worked at Gerland's when I was 16. Why I like Target: Their products have gotten so much better lately. They've got big time designers designing exclusively for Target. Isaac Mizrahi, Converse, Liz Lange, Simply Shabby Chic. Of course the materials used is different and the way it's made is more like a Ford assembly line but hey who cares. It's all about convenience and affordability. "If you build it they will come". And while you're shopping you can enjoy a Starbucks drink. But the best thing about Target? Popcorn and an Icee. read more

This is my absolute favorite Target on the north side! The team members are always super friendly and the lines are never long when I visit. One time I came with my dog for a quick trip and even though dogs aren't allowed one of the associates gave me a pass which I truly appreciated! This target is a nice experience. It is a big store with a Starbucks, deli, pharmacy, snack bar and all the other normal target items. The parking lot is big with plenty of parking. There are usually quite a few registers open which keeps the lines short. I like shopping here and prefer it to Walmart. read more

This is by far my fav Target!!! I even take the kids to get their pics done at their portrait studio. Noell is the BEST! She is always friendly and patient. I make sure and schedule everything with her! The store is always clean, the staff is always friendly and helpful and there is hardly ever a long line. Very organized and clean. I usually order online and pick up in store. My order is usually ready in less than 30 minutes. It's the nicest Target I have seen in Houston. This location is located near my job so I usually make a stop on my lunch breaks. The produce always looks nice and fresh. read more

This is a great location, I enjoy browsing the store every week, the groceries is limited but i look at target more of a clothing/entertainment store anyways. Clean, employees are friendly for the most part, decent Starbucks (you should try the other coffee shops around the area like snowflake of you want really good coffee.) and the lines are pretty short. I dropped my prescription off and was told it would be 45 minutes, not a big deal... I did some shopping came back 45min later and the tech told me it wasn't ready yet, so I stood there for 10 more minutes with a fussy baby and asked how much longer.. Only for him to tell me he's not sure bc the pharmacist was at lunch and he can't do anything without her! So instead of telling me this he let me waste my time with my baby who needed a nap. Not to mention they never have enough of the drugs to fill my scripts. I will just go else where from now on. read more

I stopped in here with my daughter before an appointment. She was happy to see swimsuits in the store, and grabbed a few sets to try on. She needed different sizes on a couple of pieces, so I put them back on the rack as I exchanged sizes for her. The woman working the fitting room, who had not acknowledged our existence up to that point, chastised me for putting stuff back because "they chose her to keep the clothes neat, and she does a good job." They were hung in the same manner as the other pieces, in all the right places. She was extremely off-putting and rude. She stood there for a full minute talking about her job, all the while a little girl was running up and down the fitting rooms looking under the stalls as people were trying on clothes....with not a peep from the commandant of the fitting room. This Target is okay to shop at and usually has some great deals. I'm still upset about the data breach and the inconvenience I had to endure having no debit card right in the middle of the Holiday shopping season so I don't go as often as before. However, when I needed school supplies they were definitely the winner over Wal-mart. Good prices on notebooks, paper, and journals. The section was a total disaster as it had already been picked over, but if you're patient you'll find what you need. read more

As a couponer we look for great deals. As a mother of two small babies, it's hard for us to go out and hunt for a good deal, but when one comes along and it's a great deal on diaper cuz your fellow coupon buddy post on instagram and you rush to a target near u hoping they still have the diapers in stock. When u arrive at the cashier, they act dumb, they call a manager, they started going on about we dnt take mobile coupons? Wat kind of shit is that? Everything about this Target is pretty nice. Most of the drama I have seen in the store has been customer related. I was dumb enough to attempt some black Friday shopping here a few years ago. While the experience was what I expected inside, I did not expect to sit and watch all the people have to file police reports to find their car had been stolen from the lot!!! I will take a Target over a Wal Mart any day...that said....this store is not a "Super" Target. This is a fraction of the size of the Super Targets in Dallas and other locations. I like the Pharmacy. The optical department not so much....but my main gripe is that it is poorly managed - there will be long lines of people with only 2 or 3 registers open. I have found items lower priced at H.E.B. I will give credit to the woman who is security - almost every time I am there she has captured a shoplifter. read more

Honestly this place has always been my favorite place to shop. However today we set out to purchase a new tv after a good wait for it to be retrieved (20mins or so). We drove home and started unboxing it to set up as I started to notice all the hand marks and what seemed like scratches on the screen. No big deal it seemed ill just wipe it down, however I started to take out more items and started to feel like I was sold a used item. The tv stand was all banged up as if it were dragged the control was also missing the top and there was a clear hole the bag was opened. Pretty aggravating having to rebox the tv and take it down the stairs and on to the car again to get a return. I was still optimistic maybe it was a mistake it happens. Returned the item and received a new one(should've known better to have opened the box in store) cashier was really apologetic and assured everything was fine. Went home and again took the tv up the stairs to set up. Well what do you know the entire screen is cracked and the side of the screen looks as if it had exploded. At this point I'm completely upset that I have received 2!!! Tvs not fit to be sold. At this point im highly upset i have to yet again for the 4th time load the tv into my car. I show up and immediately ask for a manager which he promptly shows up I explain the situation that I have had to return the same item twice. He then proceeded to try to find the cashier who exchanged the tv(as if I was lying about returning the the item before ) makes such a fuss about finding the employee which was completely annoying and pointless. I pointed out the tv I had just returned as it was also still sitting in returns and mentioned the uselessness of finding the employee as it's not their fault the way the items are handled by the store.He clearly sees we are upset and begins to apologize and say all he can do is really exchange the tv YET AGAIN. I was clearly done with the situation and was not going down that road again so he proceeded to give me a refund. I completely find it appalling how carelessly they must handle their fragile items at this location. Not only that selling tvs that have clearly been used. Sorry not shelling out big bucks for a used to tv. If I wanted to I could have bought a refurbished one for much less. If you guys are ever in need of electronics this is clearly not the place. I had a much better experience at Best Buy guys even loaded the tv for me. I think I'm completely done with this location by the way the manager tried to handle the situation also. read more

The rude employees. I waljed up to tge register to pay for my items. The cashier was having a conversation with another employee and neither one ever said a word to me. I stood there for about a minuet before the cashier even started scanning my stuff. She bagged my items, set them on the counter, still not a word, continued her conversation, totaled my order as i inserted my card. At this point, she handed me my reciept and said thanks. I said wow, that was the worst customer service ever. I told her that i had been standing gere for almost 5 min and all i got was thx. I have had a bad experiance at this location before.
