Me and my wife recently stops here to grab some groceries while we were in the area. This place is clean and modern. Very easy to find what you are looking for store is a bit pricey unfortunately. Self checkout lines move at a slow pace. Ample amount of Park as well with easy access to the streets. It has been a year since I shopped in the store in Shorewood. I got the impression that the Target store(s) wannabe like the bigger stores but just doesn't make it. Left with nothing. But since I received notification that if I don't order something, they will cancel my card. So, since I knew that I didn't care to shop in the store, I ordered one item online. Target in Shorewood really disappoints!! The store is filthy. Employees and management are the reason!!! When this store fails it will be due to management. I have needed help and was directed to MOD twice . This person at the customer service desk each time was in deep personal conversation with another employee when I walked up I did not interrupt I respectfully waited both looked at me and walked away!! Ordered a tv for pick up on 6/13. Received an email shortly after that the item was out of stock but they could deliver it to me from another store if I wanted it. I said sure and placed the order and paid. No TV on Friday, said it would be here Saturday online, Saturday is here and now they say it will be Sunday or Monday but are not sure. I called customer service to see if I could cancel I was told no I had to wait for the carrier to update when it will be here. What an absolute scam! Never again! And I have been a loyal target shopper for years, preferring it to the other choice. I can understand this thing sometimes happen but you should do something about it not just tell your customer to go scratch. read more

This Target Shorewood location used to be sooo nice-until they remodeled and rearranged. It is now a disheveled dirty mess in constant disorder. The front section where the accessories dept once was has been replaced with graphic tshirts that look like they just came from a Cambodian sweatshop and it blends right into the boys underwear section. There are no longer definitive departments- you can't determine where one department ends and another begins. There's now an entire clearance area that looks like the local Goodwill. Shelves are never stocked or straightened and shoppers feel comfortable leaving their trash (empty coffee cups, Starbucks wrappers) throughout because it's no longer a kept store. Please, Target- go back to what you were before the remodel! Hire enough employees and train them to straighten up. Employ secret shoppers like we had back in the old retail days to keep employees on their toes! It is no longer an enjoyable experience. I used to want to browse and take my time-and end up spending more money than planned! Now I'm in and out. This location has become a stressful shopping ghetto. read more

I purchased a stroller online and when I went to pick it up at the store they gave me a stroller where the box was opened. I asked for another NEW stroller and was told they did not have any in stock. They said I would have to return it at a different Target. What an inconvenience!!! The curbside pickup, quick shipping, reasonable return policy, fair prices, etc. have saved 'my sanity' for the last 22 months. If you haven't shopped target....you should....just don't expect to spend less than $50. read more

If you want to be stuck in a car with a screaming infant come here. Tonight was my second time of completely horrible service here. Last time I had to grab my child out of the car to console her while everyone else got serviced. I was there before many other cars showed up and had to walk over to someone to ask what's going on because they were all avoiding eye contact with me. They didn't have an item prepared so I told them to cancel it at this point. Today someone forgot to bring part of my order. So I called when I got home and realized because it was in my trunk, they said to come back. I called 20min away told them to be outside. Was able to call twice from the parking lot but never got my item because I had to drive off because I couldn't take the screaming anymore. Calling isn't just picking up the phone you have to sit through voice prompts and listen to it ring forever. This took way longer then it should of had, especially since I notified them beforehand of my arrival. Do yourself the favor and go to the Plainfield location I've never had issues there. I tried to be reasonable with them people make mistakes but tonight really pissed me off. I told them this review was going to happen. read more

I live on the Plainfield/Joliet border but the Shorewood Target is the closest to our house. However, I think I will take the extra few minutes and start going to Joliet or Plainfield. I've always been a Target girl and go probably 1-2 times a week. I know this Target is short-staffed and I totally feel for the employees there but it is just horrid. I went to get a pickup order 2 days ago (on a Wednesday afternoon) and no exaggeration, there was not one register open. The line for self checkout went all the way down to the makeup section. I was going to grab some fresh fruit but immediately turned around to walk out when I saw the line. There were also random carts just filled with merchandise lining the register idles. Not sure if it was things that needed to be restocked but there was no staff to do it or what that was about. It's truly a shame because it's a beautiful Target with an Ulta and Starbucks but it honestly looks like a Dollar Store inside . I hope someday they can get some more staff or better management (whatever the issue is) and turn things around. read more

I went here to purchase a few items and saw a lot of headphones in a bin that said 9.99$ and I was so happy and I took two one for me and my mom. I made sure they matched the ones in the bin and proceeded to check out, however they rang up 19.99 and I was confused. So I went to customer service and asked the lady to price match the sign because it was a bait and switch. She told me they do not do that, and I explained to her there was a sign that said they were 10$ not 20$ and I checked that they were all the same thing before picking two colors she told me to wait and walkie talkied a man and he told her the sign was labeled wrong and he was fixing it now. She then told me sorry but they're 19.99 I was so pissed. I told her to give me my money back and told her to have fun working at target for the rest of her life. We come looking for a certain collectors item And we come across a worker, we wanted to ask if they might have it in the back so we ask and Pam's device wasn't working she called the manager who was nearby they say they don't have it, didn't check in the back at all. So in hopes to get someone to check in the back for us we ask another worker. He was super friendly so as we asked him Pam happened to pass by and she says to me A 13 YEAR OLD "you asking him the same question" " I already told you we don't have it". I am 13 years old and there is no way Pam should be talking to anyone let alone a kid like that. Pam was extremely rude and ignorant. No one bothered to check in the back for us and that guy was going too until Pam said something. Online it said they had it so why did Pam not bother to check in the back for us. We showed them the website we were going off of were it said they have what we wanted but Pam didn't bother to help us out. Something about this Target always makes me feel dizzy when I leave. I stop in here on occasion after shopping at Homegoods next door. My biggest gripe is the women's clothing section. The women's plus-size section is, no exaggeration, three sparsely merchandised racks, and it flows right into the maternity section. Target needs to make a decision: expand their plus size section or eliminate it altogether. I've never needed any additional service here, but I've been able to check out pretty quickly. The customers, on the other hand, seem to be a little more crazy and quite possibly British given their habit to walk to their left constantly. read more

This review is entirely experience based as normally I love this target. My mom and I came in on a snowy Saturday. The kind of day where the local Patch is claiming that the state police says to stay home because the roads are deadly. They weren't. It was just fear mongering at its finest. I was moving in with the BF the next day and needed to get a bunch of household essentials to make the start of cohabiting a little easier. Shower curtains and toilet paper make us happier to be around! So, off to Target we went! It was jam packed. The worst part was the rudeness of other customers. I know this is not target's fault; however, people racing through the store, running into my cart, children run amuck. The place was chaos! At one point, I started choking on the soda I was drinking. I like Target. But OMG am I the only one more than annoyed by the fact that this target stocks every flipping aisle every single morning?! You can't get down a single aisle to look for anything. The rude employees are blocking at least one end of each aisle with a cart or two full of stock. They are standing in groups so you can't get around them, they are yelling aisle to aisle to each other. I just want to get what I came for. Instead I end up annoyed & racing through just to get out quickly. Maybe just maybe Target should consider stocking shelves when their paying customers are not trying to shop. Ughhhhhhh read more

We used to visit Target in Shorewood quite often. We were there the other day and we normally don't use public rest rooms, but my wife is handicapped and needed to use your restroom (Female). Where did they go??? The whole former restroom area was walled up and nowhere in site. There was only a "Family" one and that was locked, presumably because someone was in there for a long time??? When she inquired at the service desk, she was told there were toilets in a trailer outside, but for handicapped people they had to be able to manage the STAIRS to get into them. Is this going to be the case with all TARGET STORES? We are aware that we are still in a Pandemic and caring for rest places my be difficult, but if you want customers in your store(s) you better re-consider keeping RestRooms INSIDE the stores, especially during the HOLIDAY SHOPPING time. Target can become a very unpopular store without them. It certainly is by US!!!!! read more

Let me start be saying I love Target! Tonight that's not the feeling I have! Unfortunately it's hard to like a store , when rude incompetent people work there. I went shopping tonight for my daughters birthday...I was ecstatic that there was a special for Frozen. Spend $50 or more on Frozen and get the sing-a-long DVD. Unfortunately even though I spent WAY over the $50 mark I did not receive it. The guy checking me out didn't even know about the special. So I took the matter to CUSTOMER SERVICE and what do you know she had no clue either. She did however inform me that the ONLY way to get the dvd was to return everything and do it all over...which I didn't have time for. I'm highly disappointed! read more

Absolutely disgusted !!! Went to target yesterday *it's 25 min from my house let me start by saying that* bought chicken that expires next week, avocado, cuties, and a water bottle that all had issues !! I got in the car and the water bottle was already opened and refilled with whatever and put back in the fridge for someone to waste money on! I get home open the chicken and it is the worst smell EVER!! I call and they want me to bring it in my car to contaminate everthing and bring it back. Uhm no thanks. What happened to when the customer is always right. I cut my avocado open just to make sure they're not bad, even tho they're not ripe at all yet and they're hard as a rock and completely brown inside. This morning I look at my bag of cuties... and there is one with mold on it. How absolutely disgusting !!!!!! I wasted $30+ dollars going there! Saw meat being sold with best by dates of march 1st. I use to work for this target many years ago and it is a completely different place now. The employees are unbelievably rude. I was in there earlier pinking up diapers for my 7 month old and the check out women wanted to know what was wrong with my BABY because his eyes look droopy. When I talked to a manger I was told that she was just trying to make conversation. UNBELIEVABLE!! Never in my life have I been somewhere where the employees felt that it was ok to insult a BABY on how he looks. I will not be returning. If I could give this store no stars I would. read more

This is the worst Target I've ever been to in my life. The employees are beyond rude. My sister went in there today, for example, and at the checkout the women checking her out actually said to her "your baby has droopy eyes, what's wrong with him?". I mean seriously who in their right mind says that about a 7 month old baby? When she called to speak with the manager all that was said is "she will be spoken too". How is that punishment? Does the cashier say this about all babies? What if something actually was wrong with him? Does she make fun of babies who actually do have a disability? The sad part is I wouldn't put it past any of the employees there. The Shorewood Target should be ashamed and embarrassed. Corporate needs to clear out that entire store and hire new employees and train them properly or just shut the store down.
